Their next destination?
🔴 MARS
The planet of war. Unlike previous rounds, Production refused to immediately reveal what Mars would do to the game. The only warning? Prepare for battle.
Then, just as the next Immunity Challenge was about to begin...
🚨 SYSTEMS ARE SHUTTING DOWN
Both spacecrafts had suffered a massive power surge. Their headquarters were failing, equipment was malfunctioning, and the tribes needed to restore enough power to survive.
For the next 20 hours, every castaway could search once per hour for Power Points.
There were three options:
Storage Bay — Low Risk
Smaller gains, but relatively safe.
Engine Room — Medium Risk
Better rewards, but larger potential losses.
Control Deck — High Risk
Potentially massive gains... or catastrophic damage.
The tribe with the most Power Points after twenty hours would win Immunity.
And suddenly, Skinnisha Survivor became a game of alarms, sleep deprivation and checking Discord every sixty minutes.
🌙 LUNA
Luna decided fairly early that the Engine Room offered the best balance between reward and risk. So they committed. Hard.
Nearly everybody set alarms, specifically Mel and repeatedly returned every hour to run:
Sometimes, it worked beautifully.
motherbird and Joshy landed 4s. JTee regularly pulled positive results. Fiji was sick but was still pulling her weight. PosterBoy was playing with his moon dust and doing regular check ins from time to time. IzziDame was contributing but also getting her beauty sleep.
At other times, Luna watched several hours of progress evaporate through a horrifying sequence of -1s and -2s. Endurance was absolutely becoming a factor.
itsamodernlife was attempting searches while balancing classes and work, even getting reprimanded at his job for being on his phone too much during the challenge, ‘excessive phone usage’ he described.
As the final hours approached, Luna changed tactics.
With a decent total already built, they began moving into the safer Storage Bay, hoping to avoid losing points right before the clock expired.
With minutes remaining, Luna desperately waited for their last available searches.
🌙 LUNA FINAL SCORE — 125
A respectable total after twenty exhausting hours.
Unfortunately...
Nova had gone slightly insane.
⭐ NOVA
Nova treated Power Surge like their lives depended on it.
Players including Maximoff, gay, alexanderspms, KeithNewBern and Poof were remarkably consistent, barely missing hourly opportunities as the tribe continued building their total. Gabs and MissCalculated were still contributing whenever they could.
By the final stretch, they were approaching 200 points.
Then the tribe desperately summoned Cristi for one final search.
Cristi appeared, chose the Engine Room… and hit 4.198.
She then casually explained:
“Sorry guys i was in the doctor.”
Between work shifts, doctors, hospitals, job interviews and alarms going off all day, Nova somehow maintained an absurd level of consistency.
When the twenty hours finally expired...
⭐ NOVA — 198
🌙 LUNA — 125
NOVA WON IMMUNITY!
And it wasn't particularly close.
But before anybody could celebrate, the power surge hit again.
🔴 THE MARS TWIST
Suddenly, every private communication system went offline.
One-on-one chats? Locked. Alliance chats? Locked.
Luna would still be attending Tribal Council… but on the planet of war, there would be:
NOWHERE TO HIDE.
Until somebody was eliminated, all strategy had to happen publicly in the Tribal Council channel. Everyone could see everything. Each player received exactly THREE WHISPERS.
A whisper allowed them to secretly send one private message to another player through Production. Everyone would publicly see who whispered to who… but nobody except the recipient would know what had actually been said.
🌙 LUNA - PUBLIC TRIBAL COUNCIL
Unsurprisingly, the opening stages were chaos. Whispers immediately began flying around the tribe.
People watched who was contacting who, attempted to decode what certain messages meant, and even started using emojis and other public signals to communicate without outright announcing their plans.
Strategy had essentially become a group project where everyone could see everybody else's screen.
Eventually, however, one name became increasingly obvious:
itsamodernlife.
Modern knew he was in danger and publicly began making his case.
He acknowledged that his activity had suffered, explaining that work had been particularly brutal that week alongside classes and other responsibilities. He had set alarms for Power Surge and tried contributing where possible, but even admitted that he had missed searches and had already been reprimanded for using his phone too much at work.
That led to a tense exchange with motherbird as that was the counter name Modern was spreading around..
MotherBird argued that challenge performance was not even necessarily the biggest issue strong social relationships could keep somebody safe regardless, but felt Modern had not made enough of those connections on this tribe.
Modern pushed back that he genuinely had been trying, but his schedule had been unusually brutal, with overtime, staffing issues and school leaving him unable to invest the amount of time he normally would.
JTee made it clear that his concern wasn't simply Modern's challenge performance.
In fact, it was partly the opposite. JTee respected Modern as a player and believed that, if allowed to gain traction socially, he could become very dangerous later in the game.
By the time voting began, though, the direction was clear.
First vote...
JTee.
Then...
Modern.
Josh.
Modern.
And then Modern's name kept appearing.
itsamodernlife WAS VOTED OUT.
By a vote of:
7–1–1.
Modern became the sixth castaway eliminated from Skinnisha Survivor: Space Invasion.
There were plenty of hugs afterward, particularly from Mel, who felt awful about the result.
Modern reassured her immediately:
“There’s nothing to forgive. You’re my best friend on this app and nothing will change that.”
itsamodernlife - you were such an entertaining presence in the season! You started off very strong and had potential to go all the way, unfortunately it seems your busy schedule caught you up in the worst timing possible. Regardless, hope you had fun and we were so glad to have you as part of the cast!
16 CASTAWAYS REMAIN.
Mars promised war… and delivered.
Where will the crews travel next?
