Cooking Competition Rankings: Part 2

AlakazamKing      ❤ 27   ▲222nd of June 2026

I loved doing the first part of this list even if it is silly. I've got two more blogs regarding cooking shows and then I have around 3 more rankings lists to show all of you. Thank you again for reading my ramblings. 15. Wildcard Kitchen: I think this is a wildly fun concept and for the most part it delivers. Having to bet your own money on how well you can cook against your other chefs with your wildcard ingredient is awesome. The show does need some more refining for my taste though. 14. Food Network Star: This should be way higher, but the judges annoy me so damn much. I understand they are looking for people with great personalities, but almost every time they take out the insanely talented chefs over them. I personally want to see a mix of both and the only real stars they got were Guy and Tyler. 13. Worst Cooks In America: This is a blast to watch and I never get bored. The one drawback is I wish we saw what happened to the winners down the line. Do they continue cooking? Do they just suck again? I just want more of a followup. 12. Iron Chef: The show that really started it all for cooking competitions. The fact that the show was mainly remembered for the rivalry Bobby Flay and Morimoto had is the drawback. Some seriously amazing chefs competed. It was also filmed in the 90s, so the production isn't the greatest. 11. Masterchef: I love this show so much, but the amount of times it has been rigged is crazy. Season 5 is the biggest example because Joe was cheating on his wife with the eventual winner Courtney. She was a horrible chef and still won over some amazing chefs. There's been at least 3 other seasons where it was obviously rigged too. 10. Iron Chef America: I think this lands a bit higher than the original. It's a lot more drama filled than the original. The competitors have actual beef with some of the Iron Chefs and it makes for a lot more drama. There's been a lot of crazy competitions too. The Jon Fraser battle is still etched in my mind. 9. Beat Bobby Flay: I love this show so much because of how unique it was at the time. The fact that Bobby had to cook whatever the winner of the qualifier told him and he still won most of the time is just crazy. It ranks lower because it hasn't evolved after all these years. 8. Top Chef: I really, really, really like this show. Some of my favorite chefs ever I found by watching this. I do think that all of the finalists in season 2 should have been DQ'D for what they did to Marcel. They do also not eliminate the worst chef each week. That really irritates me too. 7. The Great Food Truck Race: This is my favorite summer time cooking show. It also made me want to run my own food truck for so long. It was such a drastic change in what shows we were given at the time. Food trucks also weren't massive like they are now when the show first started. It has gotten worse as the seasons went on unfortunately. 6. Chopped: This was a tough one, but chopped just misses out on my top 5. I absolutely adore this show and think it was such a revolutionary change in cooking shows. They do adapt and change the show which a lot of these shows don't. I do like eating watching these shows and sometimes it's hard to watch this while eating.

Cooking Competition Rankings: Part 1

AlakazamKing      ❤ 44   ▲021st of June 2026

Guys, I have been working on a few new lists lol. I love cooking competitions so much, like it's a genuine problem. I had to narrow the list down to just cooking shows. You will not be seeing shows like Halloween wars or shows that are technically cooking shows, but it's more about the works of art they do instead of the actual taste of the food. The Great British Bake Off also won't be on here because it will be on another list. I also am not a huge fan of baking shows, so please don't harm me for when they are ranked lower haha. 25. Masterchef Junior: I just don't care for having actual children on these shows. I don't take pleasure in seeing an 8 year old girl bawling her eyes out when her souffle doesn't rise. They are very talented and some have gone on to be some powerhouses. It just isn't for me unfortunately. 24. The Ultimate Baking Championship: I'll be honest, I have only watched a couple seasons. This show just wasn't made for me. Like I said before, I'm not a fan of baking shows. It's just way too much formulas and scientific things for my liking. I will always be impressed by what they do though. 23. Halloween Baking Championship: This lands a bit higher because I love Halloween. Everything I said previously can just be copy and pasted here. 22. Next Level Chef: Unfortunately I just didn't get into this show as much as I wanted to. I understand that the concept was unique, but the execution just was boring to me. I watched the first 2 seasons and then just dropped the show because I was bored of it. 21. BBQ Brawl: I actually liked the first season a lot. It's been the seasons after that which has made me stop watching. The concept and the pit masters were very fun. The unfortunate thing is the show never evolved and grew stale after awhile. 20. Top Chef Masters: This is probably low for people, but the show never captured my interest. I do love they brought some of the best in the industry to see who is better. I do find it hilarious that the judges were chefs who were not on the same level as the contestants. Top Chef has this weird thing where they eliminate not the worst chef every time. This happens so much on Masters too. 19. Bobby's Triple Threat: This is another fun show, but also it's another similar show that Food Network likes to do. They wanted another Bobby Flay show, but couldn't just do a copy and paste of Beat Bobby Flay. Instead they bring in 3 very talented chefs that you have to beat on your way to challenge Bobby. Fun concept, just want a new and fresh concept for Bobby to do. 18. The Next Iron Chef: Very fun show, but the best season was the All-Stars. The drama was so much fun and like most shows he is on, Marcel steals the show. He is a reality tv villain born in a chef's body. The other seasons just don't measure up and that's why it ranks here. 17. Supermarket Stakeout: This is an incredible concept that I wish was better at the execution. I love Alex, but she is not the right host for this type of show. Alton would be the best host actually. I still enjoy the show, just wish it would tighten up the production. 16. Alex vs. America: I feel bad about doing this to both of her shows. I just don't find Alex as a captivating protagonist in these shows. She is a great chef, but just not as entertaining as her fellow hosts. This is also just another rip-off of Beat Bobby Flay which is another issue.

After 107 games, I finally won a game on here! Thank you to @Budweiser who took me to the final 2, I really appreciate it and you did deserve that win. Another thank you to @JJ26 who worked with me as well. I only had alliances with you two, so to make final 3 together was awesome. Thank you to everyone I've played games with and was a massive nuke. My race partners know what I'm talking about haha.

Forgotten Reality Shows Rankings: Finale

AlakazamKing      ❤ 57   ▲1117th of June 2026

I'm already sad that this list is over. I've had a ton of fun going back through these shows and I hope you guys have as well. Before we get to the final 5, I have an honorable mention. This show was on my list, until one of my friends reminded me that it isn't forgotten at all. Honorable Mention. The Mole(7 seasons; Aired from 2001-2004, 2008, 2022-2024): I figured most everyone only watched the new seasons and not the old ones, especially the Celebrity editions which were insane. Thank you to @Nora for reminding me that everyone on here knows the show haha. Anyways, this was an amazing show. 5. Holey Moley(4 seasons; Aired from 2019-2022): This was such a hilarious show. It was a miniature golf competition akin to Wipeout. They had them play on these oversized mini gold courses and then they had to run through the obstacles they just played on. Having Rog Riggle and Joe Tessitore as the hosts just made it 100x funnier. 4. Face Off(13 seasons; Aired from 2011-2018): If you are looking for drama between cast members, this isn't the show for you. If you want to see how special effects makeup is done, then you will love it. They also got some of the best in the business to judge them and man did they critique the hell out of the contestants. Just absolutely amazing artists who then went on to work on some of the greatest films of our times. 3. Beauty and the Geek(5 seasons; Aired from 2005-2008): This show was amazing. The beauties having no idea how to interact with most of the geeks and vice versa was tv gold. Making the beauties have to learn general trivia was hilarious. The geeks having to learn pop culture and getting makeovers was equally hilarious. And shit, one of the beauties actually hooked up with a geek after their makeover. Just the peak of trash tv and I loved every second. 2. The Joe Schmo Show(4 seasons; Aired from 2003-2004, 2013, 2025): If you ever wondered how The Truman Show would work in real life, this is it. Holy shit this show was bonkers. They premise is simple, they have a reality show where everyone is actors except one person. Everyone is in on the joke except that one person. The goal is to make sure the regular guy never finds out that everything is fake. I know Matt, the first guy, still has some ptsd from this. Just please go and watch this. 1. Murder in Small Town X(1 season; Aired in 2001): This will always have a soft spot in my heart as it was the first reality show I watched. It was a murder mystery show where 10 people come to a town called Sunrise, Maine in order to help solve the murder of a predominant family. Each week through the clues they find, they eliminate 1-2 of the suspects, but one cast member is killed by the killer in the elimination round. The townspeople are all actors and it's just an amazing watch. It's a sad ending though because the winner was one of the firefighters who died in the 9/11 attacks.

I couldn't wait until tomorrow to continue the rankings. It looks like you guys didn't forget the first few, but let's see if you remember some of these ones. 9. Who wants to be a superhero?(2 seasons; Aired from 2006-2007): There is no way anyone ever watched this show. It was the dorkiest show I've ever watched, and I loved it haha. Stan Lee was the judge and these people had to create their own superhero. They created their own costumes and had their own superpowers. The people had to compete in challenges that would test how much of a hero they were. The winner got their own comic book made of them that was written by Stan Lee and got to star in a sci-fi original movie. It's so bad, it's good. 8. Pirate Master(1 season; Aired in 2007): I actually really liked this show and right in the middle of the season, it just stopped airing. The show did so bad, CBS pulled it after only airing 8 of the 14 episodes lmao. It was basically a bunch of people dressed like pirates hunting for a fictional treasure. The cast would be split into two tribes each week to hunt for a key to the ultimate treasure. The winning captain marked 3 people for elimination that the rest of the cast would then vote one of them out. The winner actually got $500K which is crazy. 7. Top Shot(5 seasons; Aired from 2010-2013): This is kind of crazy because the host is Colby Donaldson haha. It's pretty self explanatory, the show gathers the top marksman from the U.S. and they compete in shooting challenges with every type of hand weapon there is. Each week someone is eliminated and the winner got $100,000. It honestly is a really fun show because they make them live in a house together too. 6. Last Comic Standing(9 seasons; Aired from 2003-2010, 2014-2015): This show was great for a stand up comedy lover like myself. The format changed from season to season unfortunately. The basic synopsis is talent scouts hold open auditions and choose a certain number of comedians to be on the show. Each week there is a head to head battle between two of them in front of a studio audience. The audience votes on who is funnier and the other one is eliminated. The prizes also changed from a cash prize and a tv deal, to a talent contract and then to a live tv special. Some of the greatest comedians going today were on the show as well.
