Royale Concept
People of Kovaze,
I've been seeing lots of Royale suggestions and wanted to speak on that. A lot of these suggestions are good in theory, but will often have an impact on another part of the game's design that we may be considering. For example, opening up a second game will slow down enrolment, and when enrolment is slower, premades become more of an issue.
I'm calling on those of you who have played a lot and have a genuine idea for the direction that the game's format should go in. I've already heard ideas about having the game be 8 hours, or the map shrinking smaller, but I want these ideas expanded into full concepts. Please take into consideration not only the game itself, but enrolment, and also the longevity of the game.
Comment your concepts below and I'll read through each one.
Please do NOT post short requests asking me to change one part of the game, as those will be deleted.

NERF THE DO NOT CLICK TO -50 AND NERF ITS FREQUENCY PLZZZZZZZZZ. BUFF FOOD AND BUFF STAMINA. "COURAGE" a new stat where your stamina increases at a faster rate for 10 minutes after you get a kill.
imo the current game format is great and i think it's pretty interesting. the only glaring flaw rn is that food should drop justtt a little bit quicker; right now inactives die 32~ hours in from not eating and maybe that should be lowered. i think for those who make a deep run the game can be pretty stressful and i think there's valid concern on how the format promotes unhealthy habits but a lot of this is self inflicted and can be managed with proper energy expenditure, and the payoff IS worth it. outside of that though, i think some things that could make the game more interesting is maybe like "events" taking place in certain parts of the maps like if it's hailing maybe you lose like 0.1 health per minute, maybe if it's rlly sunny u lose extra hunger, probably not the best examples but u get the point, etc.
I think its pretty great as it is. I wouldnt change too much about it, the time is not bad cause like hunger it is supposed to feel a bit longer and 8 hrs, if you are sleeping when it enrolls it'll just be over ? The map setup is great, I wouldnt change it. I would change running. If someone runs you should get the 10 health cause its so easy to run and then its a luck comp and you're *** I would change the do not clicks. It should be 50 health not straight up dying. Other than that i wouldnt change much! love it
I think a rare Telescope item would be good. Using it would let you know where someone is, but the name of the location only. Not coordinates. This would make it more important to remember what location is which, but also speed the game up so people don't just run out of stamina searching around. The person who was found should be notified. This should be the most rare item in the game.
I think weapons in general are too OP. At the end of the day, you should have to fight by winning minigames; that's the entire purpose of having minigames on the website. The drops are also a little too OP in the sense that just hiding and staying put somewhere (with the exception of the Cornucopia, aka the Eye) shouldn't just grant you weapons. This is why I believe there should be a crafting feature from popups. I believe that you should be able to craft food, health packs, and weapons rather than just getting weapon drops from different places. This allows people to choose between actively hiding or searching for different things to craft food or weapons. This way, you get a healthy balance of actually fighting someone with minigames and using weapons on them for more damage, while also accommodating the side of someone actively hiding and trying to gain as many resources as possible—but at a cost (i.e., grinding out different crafting materials for one weapon). I believe this is the best way to make Royale more immersive for the players while also allowing anyone to really win.
30-40 people casts. Having 50 is wayyyy too much and the game drags (sometimes going on 3 days) - also I think with a cast of 40 would be perfect since most people aim for payouts so it gets them some incentive to kill 10 people fast to get to payouts and get the game going along. Food needs to drop faster (maybe like after 18 hours you die) - in that way even if you are asleep when Royale starts, you'll still have 10 hours to find some food. Ideally we aiming to have the game end in 36 hours or less, that would be the perfect amount of time for Royale (so people just missing out on one nights sleep for those that don't sleep during Royale lol). If you enrolled in the current game, you can not enroll in the next game - have to sit one Royale out at least as I've some people get in back to back Royale's. If you run from a fight, you lose 15-20 health, most people just run from the fights and then just lose 20 health points and go into camouflage and can't be attacked again, need to somehow speed that up. I agree with Luxray about areas closing every hour, makes limited space to hide and more at risk.
As other people said. ACCELERATE the speed of hunger. It makes FOOD a more valuable item and buffs berries because people WILL get desperate.
At the moment, it takes about 33 hours before someone who hasn't eaten starts starving, and another 2 or so hours before they die - that is a whole 35-36 hours (a day and a half) where someone who potentially hasn't come online since enrollment can survive. With the current player base, killing active players is being incentivized over the inactkves as they are the bigger threats to their games, allowing those who don't even log in to amass massive points. This won't happen every royale (my last royale surprisingly had 0) but for the ones that it will occur in, it's going to be a nuisance. My suggestion is to slash that time to 16-18 hours. People need to sleep, people need to work, and the 18 hours will give some leniency. Poison berries are honestly a lot more common of a spawn than food; potentially make food (and poison berries) a higher rarity as well. This will make food a lot more of a crucial aspect for Royale, and will indirectly buff poison berries as a form of murder as hunger is now a much more direct concern. At the moment, royale games last about 2 days, so if you get like 2-3 food items, you are set for the whole game.
I think it pretty perfect as is but food should be more crucial so people that are inactive don’t get good placements and drag game out
24ish people, much smaller map where it closes every hour. This could still be 1 game a day and raffle concept to avoid premades. If you had a huge amount of people wanting to enroll, could have 2 games enroll at once. The game could still have the same functionality as it currently does (maybe with just less Do Not Clicks for the love of god) and weapon damage could be slightly increased to meet the more rapid game play. Also consider removing food, or decrease it ALOT faster for a fast game mode - make sure those who arent on, die quicker as currently you benefit from being inactive as they are a lot less likely to be weaponed out (esp where there are threats not in your alliance).
Luxray I do agree with you. The current game format is too unhealthy for the player base
Luxray I agree
Luxray oh also if fast mode - should be limits to how long someone can be camo'd for (i.e. max 1 hour unattackable - maybe also longer period of time before someone can be camo'd too) -- maybe limit of how many times someone is unattackable too (i.e. max 2 times in a game)
It'd be awesome if there were areas of the map that made health drop for the time you're in it similar to Fortnite or those other battle royale games
I like it how it is! One at a time. When there were multiple royales races/arenas werent filling Only thing not to me is have health drop faster i have been seeing too many inacts make it deep without even logging in one time
Jaded I feel so emotional looking at that flag
Implement the UnCamo. Name you can workshop i believe in you. This rare item would work like a kunai and would do 5 damage to a player. If it is used on a player who is camouflaged they will lose their camouflage and become eligible to be attacked. Very rare item.
