The Premade Solution
The next order of business on the site is to tackle the premade issue that has perplexed platforms alike this one, but we think we have a solution!
The next slow game to be added will feature a new enrolment style. Instead of being added to the game immediately, it will wait until enough players have enrolled before randomly splitting the cast into 2-3 different games. You may still end up with familiar faces but it will be near impossible to find yourself in an unwinnable game against a premade.
We want to eventually implement this change out for Outcasted as well, and for the fast games in the near future.
We want every game to feel like an actual ORG, and want every player to feel like they have an equal shot at winning. Bear with us whilst we roll these changes out in the coming weeks!

I think this is an amazing step forward. If it can be refined a little bit, I genuinely think this helps solve the issue.
Astrophysics We'll have some non-voting gamemodes in the future where you can still join with friends. But for the slow games especially, we don't want a group of 8 joining and gaining instant majority. You'll still end up with friends on the cast, just not all of them. And this way you can meet and create bonds with other people in games which as you just explained is a big part of Kovaze.
I feel like a big point of the social element of Kovaze and Tengaged was creating those bonds and then building on them. I would like to join a game with my friends, but now I can't. It is definitely backwards thinking.

idk the issue with this bc it's specially targeted for slow games and y'all stay logged in idt notifications are needed

Awesome. thanks a bunch. i do agree with the sentiment that a castings-like game is needed. that was a really great way for newer players to learn.
honestly bring back a castings feel like people can meet people that way again versus short term games, when working with people you know is more beneficial
Aliases will never happen. As another user said, that will allow premades to hide.
I get why people are suggesting aliases to prevent premades, but honestly, I think that would take away one of the best parts of this site, the social side. Games like Town of Salem and Epic Mafia work with aliases because they’re short-term deception games, but sites like this are about building connections, friendships, and rivalries over time. If everyone’s anonymous, you lose that community feel completely. Most of us play these games not just to win, but to meet new people, make friends, and have fun with the social side of it. I think there are better ways to keep things fair without stripping away what makes this kind of site special.
maybe just always have 2 lobbies open and it randoms into what one you go into and maybe make it so you cant see whos in the cast till the game starts but still show how many people are in the server so we know when it will start
rose's solution like i said before would be good if Discord wasnt a thing.... making every name random just means more work for the developer with no actual solution to the problem

I agree with rosemulet, I would love alias styled games
People are still going to based noms and everything based on previous interactions due to knowing who the user is. The temporary name solution fixes the core issue here
I still like my idea better, town of salem has you enter a temporary name (so no one knows who you are) and then puts you in a random game

Also, it means that if you're trying to avoid playing with someone (due to confrlict) you can't just look to make sure there's no one you have an issue with there.
As someone who admittedly does join with premades, I like the idea that everyone has a more equal chance to win. Is it being applied to fast games as well, or just slow games to start with?

I love this idea but I think another system that could work is doing it so people can't play back to back games with the same people for 2-3 games in a row in each mode.
I worry this will cause the games to take FOREVER to fill...
