NEW COMP & Comp Replays

Sin 52 minutes ago78 views

Basketball is out (as most of you know!) 🏀 You can now watch replays of Basketball in the HOF. This is because Basketball uses a BRAND NEW minigame system, that will make cheating non existent, and allow us to do cool things like replay comps / watch them live! Soon, you'll also be able to pin replays to your profile, to show off your coolest runs 😱 The rest of the minigames are being re-coded to join this new system too, with the exception of Shapes and Words - we will be saying good bye to them shortly. But don't worry, we have plans to add more comps in the coming weeks :) Let's play some basketball!

There are multiple reasons for the decision to remove Shapes/Words - Unpopularity - despite being easier than Holey for example, they remain the two most unpopular comps by far (according to the surveys I've posted) - Maintenance - In a world where Words did stay, we'd have to constantly update the Words list. We don't have the time and that would put non-english speakers at a disadvantage - Quality Standard - With the release of Basketball, the quality standard for future comp releases have gone up. Since I have to re-code all the minigames, it isn't worth re-coding them given the issues I've listed above - That time is better spent working on even better comps that are floating around in mind right now :D
