My wokest take (Nuclear Energy)

I think Nuclear Energy should be used more. It was unsafe during the times of Chernobyl because they used wildly ineffective means of containing the radiation and wildly ineffective sources of nuclear energy. Those old plants were run on Uranium, which is very volatile. Modern Nuclear Energy plants use different means of energy such as a mix of Thorium and Plutonium for example which is safer because once you remove the plutonium from Thorium, Thorium stops generating nuclear energy and therefore is not toxic as much as older outdated nuclear energy. It's kind of fucking ridiculous the level of fearmongering that people have digested from big oil companies to make nuclear energy look bad, it's one of the safest energy sources currently on the planet, far more than oil or god forbid we talk about how shit coal is, but no no let's ban more nuclear energy plants for dumbass reasons. It's like if we just decided after the first plane crashed with the Wright Brothers "Fuck we can never make a plane again" and we just left it at that, why the fuck are we so hung up on Nuclear Energy being bad because a bunch of morons made a really shitty nuclear site at Chernobyl over 40 years ago.
