if the only people you consider your “friends” are people you know online, and you don’t have any real-life friends you regularly interact with in person, then honestly, you don’t really have friends. You can convince yourself that you’re never lonely, but deep down, you know you are. And idc how it sounds, my "online friends" are always a tier below my irl friends, and I'm never going to go out of my way to prioritize people I've never met in person, even if we are close.

This is so real. Like I enjoy my online friends, but my irl friends are always top priority
…… I don’t have irl friends because of social anxiety and not being able to find people with common interests so yes my online friends are real friends
jessiejedi I think you can find people with common interests, but you have to force yourself to put yourself out there. I had severe social anxiety my whole life growing up and at one point I realized like either I can do smth about it or not, and I just realized esp in new spaces, everyone is shy and uncomfortable and you just gotta learn how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable
