Only one person knows about this and I can't thank Jaded enough for being the perfect friend. I don't care what you think about him, he's checked in on me EVERY day.
I don't even know why I'm writing this.. honestly I don't even think I should be.
I've been in a relationship for 13 years, we've never had any issues.. recently my parents asked my bf to look after some money. As a gambling addict he didn't do that, he spent all their money and gambled it all. All of my parents money. $20k. We've always had an implicit trust, my parents love my bf so much, we're so tight.
This has destroyed my entire family. The only person who knows the ins and outs is Jaded, even though some people know some things. I went from being pretty fucking rich to not know what I was doing with money. If I'm short with you it's not personal, unless I trust you 100% i dont want to talk to you about it. I have to try and fix these relationships.

Be aware that gambling addiction is an illness that has NO cure. So, don't assume that a person is already 100% ready to handle large sums of money, because they are not; it's always good to be vigilant. Obviously, it's always important to understand this as an illness and encourage the person to constantly seek improvement through therapy.
Dude, I know what gambling addiction is like, so I understand what you're going through and I'm sorry for you. This ended up destroying many families. I hope everything gets resolved soon. <3

You didn't have any problems with your gambit addicted boyfriend and suddenly your parents decide to ask him to "look after" their money ? A serious amount at that. This literally sounds absurd . I am sorry this happened to you, its literally not your fault that your parents don't have a bank account or a mattress to put their money under. Their money would have been safer under the outside rug if you ask me. Next time you need someone to look after your parents money, you can send me some via revolute. I am not a gambing addict and if I decide to do something with them behind your parents back, I would buy a car.
Katherinee_ We thought we were way past his gambling addiction. It's a very long story and there are reasons why my parents thought it would be okay in his bank account. They recently moved country. Like I said, it's a very long story which I probably won't elaborate on in Kovaze. I was drunk when I wrote this blog. I don't know why, I'm not sure why... whether it was because I had friends asking me if I was okay or I needed to get something off my chest, I don't know. All I'll say is that not everything is black & white
