how does everyone feel about no repeat comps in race?
i don't feel super strongly, but i do prefer repeat comps...it's become too easy to predict when i like the possibility of getting the same comp over and over even if it's something i hate...i think it would work better if we had more comps (like adding the old ones back) because it would be less easy to predict what is going to come up at the end

With lack of a playground, thw non-repeating thing had been huge in helping me practice certain games! Also because im a solid C player, its still fun for me. I do like a lot of the suggestions here though about no back to backs and limited repeats.
I actually prefer the no repeating comps! I like that everyone usually gets a chance at playing their worst comp and best comp instead of players getting repeat their best comp/worst comp! Makes the game more fair imo
I'm not a huge fan of repeating comps when we only have 13 at the current moment

It was an issue when we would get the same challenge 3 times in a row, or 4 or more times a game, but only having a challenge once is too predictable like you said. It also sucks when your best challenge is wasted on qualifiers, or day 1 in arena with inactive. I think we need some middle ground. Maybe program it so a challenge can't occur twice in a row, and no more than 2 or 3 times a game. That ensures there is some diversity, and everyone has a fair shot with not having the same one twice in a row. The back to back is the biggest issue I had before. If you get last in a non Elim and then it's the same challenge again, your fate is basically sealed. Same thing in a weakest link.

I agree with you here, I think it would work if more comps were added (or we got the 3 back) then it would be much less predictable. Maybe make Miracle add a percentage to a comp that is perceived a bit more luck based if the 3 are added back. For example Miracle could do 40% to Lucky and Deal and 10% to Code. Sin thoughts?
Personally, I don't have an overly strong opinion, but my preference mildly sways towards preferring the ability to repeat comps. It adds a level of nuance that makes eliminations/noms less predictable (in my opinion), and I tend to enjoy that, even if I repeatedly get comps I hate.

I think playing most comps once is objectively so much better than letting it be random. Yes it's great if you like the comps that are getting repeated but it's awful when you get the bad ones over and over. I think adding the other comps back could help but honestly, even in arena finale there's still only a 25% chance of predicting what the final comp will be
I have been considering an alternative, which is that comps can repeat but only after 2-3 rounds. Brings back the unpredictability, while still avoiding back to back comps.

I feel like there could be a way to sort of meet in the middle. Like once a comp has been played in a game, it's chances of coming up in the same game are lower, but not 0.

I think the chances of repeat comps should go down each time you get it, but not to 0 chance.
I really love the repeat comps in general because it gives me (and others) a chance to play almost every single comp compared to a comp I don't like 50 times. While the element of which competitions are played overall is no longer random, the order in which theyre given is still random so youre still just as likely to get chain pop first as you are to get it last, or not at all! The randomness element is no longer primarily which comp shows up, but in what order.

I'm mixed on it. I like it because you get a chance to practice everything and there is a strategy element if you know the players and their skills but it is frustrating knowing you are close to the win and the comp you are the worst at is the near the end and you have no chance OR you up against someone who lives, breaths, and sleeps that specific comp. I think if we had about 15+ comps on here I think it would be fine because then there is still some "randomness" to it. So I'm like 60/40 with the 60 not liking it. I just want to play water tank all the time and shapes non of the time.
I mean it kinda creates a meta with money spending and does kind of create a luck element to it, I think there’s pros and cons to it. It does sort of suck that you could be getting all your good comps then have a guaranteed lucky drop + code + deal final 3 comps

i feel strongly that it sucks. Pretty much since im an all star im guaranteed to play weightlifting once per game wjich is not fun at all and takes away the fun I feel playing these games.

non repeating comps is one of my fave updates we had, but i really like it for arena mostly, race i dont mind it.
