Mocktails out at restaurants are genuinely so fucking stupid bc they’re the same exact price as the alcoholic beverages and the alcohol are prized there bc of the alcohol so ur basically paying $8 for juice

Mocktails are still mixed drinks with various non-alcoholic liquids. Just like real cocktails. So you're not just paying for "juice". And God forbid people want to protect their sobriety while still enjoying the ritual of having drinks with friends/families. I wouldn't spend money on a mocktail myself, but if someone is in recovery, I'm not going to be a judgmental cunt about it.
