I knew @Xakim wouldn't let me live for long. That our heated rivalry style bond would be short lived. Nor would his crew. So when we struck a deal to give him my health pack for his energy drink, I knew in that moment that I had to take his energy drink and make a run for it. I'm now on the opposite side of the map to the crew I got stuck with for the first 8 hours. My people. But I think I lost Xakim. I just hope Manon was able to hold him off long enough 🕊️

I'm having a panic attack. @Xakim is one square away from me and I saw him multiple times scouting the entire bottom right side of the map so I know he's got a stacked inventory. I'm shaking and injured and terrified. Someone please sponsor a vape.

It's still set to soft launch tonight with a test group selected through a random draw (possibly on livestream, will delve more into this later). This will allow me to witness the game in a controlled environment to make any last minute changes. If needed, more test groups will be reaped into Royale. I've always said that this website is for all of us, by all of us. A few months ago, it was quite easy to scope out the general sentiment of the website to determine the direction we go in. As the site has grown, so have the suggestions and complaints, and I have been too busy with admin work to stay on top of the diverse opinions of our beautiful community. Introducing: The Kouncil - 5 users selected democratically to voice the opinions of their constituents. They will not have any special powers, but will join me in Kouncil meetings where we will discuss the current affairs of Kovaze, and partake in Kouncil votes which will shape the future of Kovaze. I will still spearhead the bigger updates on the website as I am confident in my ability to deliver what the people want - but the Kouncil will step in when there's uncertainty regarding what the people want. This is not a paid role, including Koinz. You should want to do this because you care about the site. You should be well connected in the community to know what the people want. You should not have any self-serving motives and I will personally make sure of that. Each month, we'll be holding Elections which operate in two stages: Nominations, and The Election. During the nomination phase, anyone can nominate themselves to run for Kouncil. You (or other players) can place a donation bid for your campaign. The top 10 most funded campaigns will move on to the Election Phase where they will answer questions, as the rest of the site votes for their preferred candidates. (Note: Donations will not be taken from unsuccessful campaigns) We hope this helps build Kovaze in the direction of the people!

I'm thinking of removing Elo for Hysteria, and instead having a 1v1 "Training Ground" game (it would be a side feature like bingo) where you get matched with an opponent and play a comp against them which will change your elo. This should satisfy both the practice comp crowd and still have a competitive elo scene for those who want to climb! I loved the idea of having elo for games but I'm not sure the site is big enough yet to sustain fairness in an 11 person ranked game. I also think Hysteria would in turn become more exciting if players could swing big without fearing their elo dropping. This begs the question though - Waiting Rooms or no waiting rooms? 1 Game at a time? Lots to think about. Share your thoughts!

I'm going to address some of the FAQs about the new Outcasted Survivor Update Q: Can searching for water take less time? - Searching for water times cannot be shorter. This would heavily disadvantage people who have jobs, sleep schedules, or aren't online throughout the day. Q: My tribe is starving, why is it so hard to get resources? - You have 8 people on your tribe who can all collect more than 400 water a day if you worked together. That is 20-40 hunts for food/idols. If you're low on resources, then one of the following is true: Your tribe isn't working together to collect water, or your water is being stolen to search for idols instead of food. Q: But it costs so much water to hunt for things! - Wait for the weather to cool down before spending some water! Hunting at 44 Degrees is x4 more expensive than hunting at 10 Degrees :) Q: But how is that fair! - Your tribe AND your opponent tribe have the same exact weather conditions. If they have more food, they did something that you didn't because they were given the same exact conditions to work with!

This was quite a big update so please excuse any bugs and let me know when you find them! If you have any questions, ask away :)For now I'm keeping the game size at 16, once I'm sure there are no bugs I'll increase it to 18 and add the potential for 3 tribes THINGS TO NOTE: - Your Tribe Morale = the average hunger of your tribe - The penalty depends on your Tribe Morale AND the weather (Being hungrier during hotter weather = higher penalty) - To obtain water, you have to search the water well (Top left square). This is the only location that doesn't require drinking water to search. - To fish for food, select one of the bottom locations in the sea. Chances of successful fishing = 33%. - 1 idol and 1 snake is hidden in the forest. Getting bitten by a snake will cause your tribe to lose 100 water and 100 food. - The amount of water you drink to hunt for food/idols depends on the weather (Celsius). If the weather is 22 degrees, you must drink 22 water. Shoutout to Arikoman for inspiring this Outcasted update! Note: I'll make the UI prettier later
