Do we want each ranked game mode to have it's own elo, or would we prefer an overall elo score?

Your voices have been heard. Elo has bee slightly fine tuned so that you are not punished as much for being higher elo. We'll see how this plays out for a while before making a decision!

This will be explained in more detail, but the elo you win/lose is depending on an algorithm which takes into account your own elo, and the elo of those in your game. For example if you're in a game with much higher rated players, you will lose less / win more. The matchmaking will slightly favour grouping people based off of skill level - though there will still be some variability (you may find yourself in a lobby slowly below or above your skill level) There will be prizes for the top ranked players at the end of the season :)

Hi all! One thing I've been meaning to tackle on Kovaze is the ranking system. Staying in the top 100 is hard to maintain for those who need to take breaks, and increasingly more difficult for new users to achieve. The Top 100 in overall points will remain, but the idea is to add a 3-month long Ranked Season. Your Ranked Points (Elo) will start at 1000 points, and will increase/decrease depending on your placement in the game, and how your elo compares to those in your game (for example, you will lose less if in a game with many high elo players). Each season only a couple of games are selected to be Ranked Gamemodes, the rest remain unranked. At the end of the season, players will have their final ranks reset (and recorded) Let me know what you think of this idea!
