DNTM7 - Flop O Meter - Week 2

TheCEO      ❤ 113    ▲5

Flop-O-Meter is back! Dimitra # DNTM7 Between confusing mirror physics, hovering models and ChatGPT's unhealthy obsessed with gothic thrones... I've caclulated this week's official FLOP-O-METER ratings. The rules are simple: the lower your score, the lower your flop risk. The higher you score? You better start packing your bags. NOTICE: This is just a fun blog and I am not part of #DNTM7, these are my views only. Here are the scores: 🥇 The Top Tier: High-Fashion Serves Honey - Flop Score: 0.2 You delivered what can only be described as a masterclass in editorial modelling. The lighting was perfection, hitting every high plane on your face.. it creates a really nice glowing quality. Your styling had high impact, completely fufilling the briefs demand for a POWERFUL POSE. If you don't lock in FCO this week, it's a robbery. Lyanka - Flop Score - 0.5 You pulled off a total serve this week. The silhouette you created with your body was striking, and you instantly command attention in the frame. Those boots brought serious fashion to the composition, and overall it balances high fashion with unique posing. The only small tweak? I would have pushed that facial expression just a fraction further to unlock maximum drama. lluckygc - Flop Score - 1.0 I loved the obvious thought put into the shot. The colour palette was clearly thought out to compliment the shade of your hair, creating a cohesive visual tone. Your pose was locked in and aligned beautifully with the facial expression. I did question if the pose could have pushed boundaries slightly more, but it does match the subtle mood perfectly. Zee_ - Flop Score - 1.2 You brought intrigue and atmospheric depth to this shoot. It carries a unique storytelling narrative that pulled me in instantly, and those platform boots look chefs kiss. The overall styling choice leans a bit bland, but if you elevate your wardrobe choices, I am predicting you will be the last man standing. 🥈 Mid-Upper Tier: High Potential, Small Flaws Tezu - Flop Score 1.3 You took a genuine creative risk that paid off.. your face is crystal clear within the frame, which bridges an immediate connection with the audience. However, personally, the plastic wrap draped over you proved to be a little distracting and your pose needed to be signifcantly bolder to really anchor the abstract concept. camell22 - Flop Score 1.7 This is hot. Your physical presence and body dominate the pohto, which has a somewhat commerical appeal. But modelling isn't just about physique, your facial expression leans confused, and your forehead looks visibly tensed. The styling unfortunately gave me very little fashion to react to. TommyXx - Flop Score 1.9 This has high fashion energy. The wind swept hair gave the image life, unfortunately perspective ruined the balance for me. Your foot and that shoe is angled so close to the camera that they almost look slightly oversized and it becomes a major distraction. The mud applied to your face was also a bit too heavy handed. Caramels - Flop Score 2.5 The metal plate top was one of the most interesting wardrobe choices of the night. Your facial expression has a solid, captivating baseline. Unfortunately though, the image broke down.. your holding a mirror to reflect the moon yet the moon is already visible directly behind you.. meaning the mirror is reflecting a second moon in front of you? On top of the confusing reflection, the lighting could be so much better as we completely miss the definition in your face. 🥉 Warning Zone: Concept & AI Missteps Torree - Flop Score 5.0 Gorgeous dress fit and lighting.. but I can't help but think the dress was completely wasted on a sleepy face. The overall pose looks awkward, the awkward arm placement feels confused. It just looks like you're asleep?? But the dress.. STUNNING. RobbieRIOT - Flop Score 6.0 Much better than last week, the body proportions are much better. Although, the throne makes no sense and Chat GPT LOVES a throne, so unfortunately, the second I see a throne I can't help but think not a lot of thought has gone into this. The overall outfit looks a little bit costumey. Fancy - Flop Score 6.5 This is far too clean and crisp for this concept. The tire fabric styling leans a bit cliche, and the pose and overall expression feels way too pedestrian.. there's no textures, interesting silhouette or even any background atmosphere to really get my attention. This leans forgettable. Oren - Flop Score 7.0 I don't know why they gave you this makeover, it does nothing for your face at all. The expression looks bored, and the overall styling clashes horribly with the pink car, in my opinion. I just don't really understand what's so amazing about hovering 10cm off the ground? STEP IT UP 🚨 The Danger Zone: High Flop Risk Starry - Flop Score 7.2 You took "relaxed" to the extreme. Your photo lacks tension, or a focal point. The styling itself are lost within the poor posing. Your facial effort amounted to a slight head tilt. This image fails to make anyone pause for more than two seconds... the defintion of a scroll past photo. MissMiranda - Flop Score - 8.0 This feels regal and beautiful, but ultimately, it looks like a superhero cosplay. The production around you is a disaster, the mirror reflections looks unnatural, the background is overcrowded with chaotic elements, and the AI effects took away from your presence instead of supporting it. Pat - Flop Score 8.5 The lowest rated photo for me this week. The colour palette is drab, the posture is lifeless, and the camera angle is working against you. Most importantly, your eyes look non existent so we as an audience, are unable to connect with you. Sorry, this is a complete miss for me. Overall Leaderboard - Week 1 Honey - 0.3 Lyanka - 0.4 lluckygc - 1.0 Zee_ - 1.2 Tezu - 1.3 Camell - 1.7 TommyXx - 1.9 Caramel - 2.5 Torree - 5.0 RobbieRIOT - 6.0 Fancy - 6.5 Oren - 7.0 Starry - 7.2 MissMiranda - 8.0 Pat - 8.5 #DNTM7

DNTM7 - Junkyard photo review

RobbieRIOT      ❤ 99    ▲6

Ok I'll start by saying my opinion genuinely means nothing. You all saw me flop the house down in the first photoshoot and but I also did get 6th place in Season 3. Regardless, this is just assessment and I wouldnt dream of being overtly rude bc I know how long we spend on this shit. ------------- Tezu What I like- The use of the clear tarp is genius. I keep telling myself to think outside of the box and THIS is the kind of thinking outside of the box we should all be doing. What I didn't like- It's a bit drab overall color wise, but that being said, it tells a story. A pop of color somewhere may have helped your model stand out even more but tbh thats nitpicking. This is a great picture. ------------- Fancy What I like- Your model is handsome af and has a great face for this competition. The composition is great, lighting is to die for. What I didn't like- The car on fire in the background is so random LOL It reminds me of my throne which I hate the more I look at it (my throne not your car). It's thinking outside of the box too much. I'm guilty of this too. Overall this is a good picture. ------------- RobbieRIOT What I like- This is so so so much better than your first week. What were you thinking? Seriously, the proportions of my model this round are so much better and the colors of the metallic dress are so pretty. What I didn't like- The throne idea. I was thinking outside of the box and wanted to go for a "Queen of the Junkyard" type aspect, but ultimately it's just a little cheesy. I can do better than this for sure. Regardless, huge improvement from last week. ------------- caramels What I like- The color contrast of your hair against the blue night sky and overall image is STUNNING. I love your makeover. Models body and face are hitting right. What I didn't like- If you don't look hard enough, you might not be able to tell this is a junkyard right off the bat. I love the lighting but if it were a bit brigher in spots, it would improve it. Lovely picture. ------------- Honey What I like- Honeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ugh this hair on your model is THEE best makeover imo. It is absolutely stunning. The pose, the face, everything in this phot is giving exactly what I know you can give having competed with you in Season 3. What I didn't like- The dress, I guess? I am nitpicking for sure bc this is a great pic overall. The dress could be elevated/higher fashion. But the red against the cars and composition overall is just....chefs kiss. ------------- Pat What I like- The tire concept is something I toyed with but ultimately stayed away from, but you made it work well for you. I actually don't even hate that you did a wide-shot. I think thats a great choice and something I've never done and would like to experiment with. What I didn't like- The sizing. Even if I liked the wide shot, your model should be bigger but I know you already know this as you have stated. I don't PERSONALLY think it's a huge deal because the judges are scrutinizing us anyways, so it's not like they won't zoom in. Great job. ------------- TommyXx What I like- The use of the crane/equipment in a different way. I love that youre sitting on some scaffolding high above the junkyard. It gives a GREAT perspective for the overall shot. What I didn't like- I am personally just not usually a fan of blonde models, but this isn't your fault LOL. The ballet theme is a bit confusing but I will always give props to a concept over a generic pose. She really is stunning. ------------- Lyanka What I like- Mamaaaaaaaaa I mean come on. You are everything I want to be in this competition. We could all learn from you and should all be taking notes. I almost did a VERY similar dangling shot and holy shit am I glad I didn't lmao. Outfit, face, bald ass head....incredible work. What I didn't like- I mean your head is a little big but you're bald so wtf can you do about that lmao. Even then, there really is nothing wrong with this pic. Incredible work again. You are the standard. ------------- Oren What I like- This color combo is so beautiful and unexpected for a junkyard photoshoot and I think it works, personally. You're going to be compared to the other danglers, but you hold your own. What I didn't like- The physics of how the crane is holding the car doesn't make a ton of sense from a composition perspective. I also am not a fan of your models hair but that isn't your fault lol. Overall this pic still works for me. ------------- camell22 What I like- We've come so far since Season 3! You understand your model WAY more than you did before. The pose may be basic, but its commanding and he is sexy AF. The makeover was perfect for him. What I didn't like- Lack of color. Brown is my least favorite color, and while I can appreciate a monochromatic style/photo, it could have used something else to make it pop. Great job. ------------- MissMiranda What I like- The face card is lethal, girl. Probably the prettiest/sexiest model in this competition based on beauty alone, if you ask me. Personally, I love a sunset background that gives these gorgeous colors, but I know a lot of people aren't a fan and think it's "too AI" which lowkey, I hate that critique lmao. What I didn't like- The overall photo just does not read junkyard enough. It reminds me more of a parking lot at night with bright lights. Regardless, I think the coloring is the star here. ------------- lluckygc What I like- Honestly? The simplicity of this picture really works for me. Yes, you are just standing on a car, but she is still serving and commanding. The red is beautiful paired with the hair. What I didn't like- Not a fan of this look/multiple strap thing that AI seems to love to do. I don't think it's high fashion enough and a different look would've elvated TF out of this even more. Still, great shot. ------------- Zee_ What I like- The movement in this shot is GREAT. It looks like a scene out of a live action movie and your model looks like the star of the show. I also really love the glasses. It's such a small detail but it's lovely. What I didn't like- The face could 100% be a little more fierce/serving. He looks like is reaching/losing hold of someone and I think more emotion would've served him even better. Overall, gorgeous pic. ------------- Torree What I like- The hair is so good on your model. I was skeptical at first when makeovers were revealed, but it REALLY does work for her. Love the fit of that outfit and the bust. She really is giving exactly what a plus size girlie should be giving. What I didn't like- The physics of this are almost a miss for me. The way she is barely sitting/holding herself up based on the direction of the car just doesn't work for me. The hands are also a bit awkward. Still, you have the kind of face this competition needs. ------------- Starry What I like- You look like a pop star/already famous. That lends to your success here because he really is just able to sit back and serve. The red lighting is beautiful against his black outfit and especially his hair. What I didn't like- Just because he CAN get away with sitting back and looking sexy, doesn't mean he should. This pose could be elevated. I tried to stay away from "Model sitting or standing on a car" but I think I took it too far with my throne. Players like us need something in the middle. Great shot. #DNTM7

𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟭 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 "It felt so good to place 2nd! I thought I did well, but I didn't expect to place this high this week. I hope I can keep the momentum going. LET'S GO!" 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗦 "Zee_, Oren, and MissMiranda have been such great people to talk to this week. We lift each other up, share our stories, and even vent a little about our struggles. I honestly hope they make it further in the competition because they're genuinely great people. I've also had the chance to talk a little with some of the other models too." 𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗧, 𝗜 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗚𝗚𝗟𝗘𝗗... "This is the start of the week where creativity and originality really matter. Unfortunately, those are things I've struggled with this week. Last week was easier because the challenge was pretty straightforward, but this week has been such a struggle for me. It's definitely been a challenge." "Getting this photo was stressful, to say the least. Every shot, pose, look, and angle I generated... NOTHING WAS WORKING FOR ME. Maybe I was just being pessimistic, but damn, nothing felt right. On top of that, real life kept me busy, adding even more pressure to come up with the best photo I could." "Honestly, my photo was just okay. I felt like it lacked the power and intensity the challenge was asking for. I wanted to do better, but I ran out of time and hit my AI limit. I wasn't completely happy with it, but it was the best I could do." "Honestly, I'm not too happy with my shot. I know I could've done better, but I hope it's enough to keep me in the competition so I can learn from my mistakes and come back stronger." 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 "I'm honestly nervous. My photo feels too safe, and safe is BAAAAD, especially with how well everyone is doing. I don't want to go home this early. I still want to improve and compete with the best. For the first time this season, I'm actually not excited on this week's judging..." #DNTM7
