#ASBB5 JADED Final 3 ❤️ I came into this game as a returning player. I was one of only two returning players to have made the finals on my original season and I would love nothing more than to go 2/2. I enter any game with a huge target on my back and after losing 4-3 on my first season I wanted to prove I was not a fluke and I was not. I won 3 HOHs and 3 POVs, I got nominated one time snd I was vetoed. Between two seasons I have been nominated twice and received one vote to evict. I am also grateful to have entered this season with my ride or die James and we enter the final 3 as the only pair remaining. I think we played this game as one duo rather than two singles, which is a mistake I saw the rest of the duo making. My partner is an an amazing friend and ally and if anyone ever went against him, I took it as a shot against me. So though he was under fire at times and I was not, I was always playing with a purpose and it was to save me and him. I think that’s why we have both made it here. Coming into this game, I knew competitions were never going to be my biggest strength, so I built my game around what I knew I could rely on, which is my social game. From the beginning, I made it a priority to build genuine relationships with everyone. Because of that, no matter who was in power whatever week, I was rarely someone people wanted to target. I worked hard to make people feel comfortable with me, leading them to trust me and see value in keeping me around to benefit their games. I know some of you may feel betrayed by decisions I made but that trust was also a huge part of why my game has worked. I made sure I always had multiple paths forward and when those paths eventually conflicted, I made the decisions I believed that gave me the best chance of reaching the end. I never needed competitions to carry me here, although I still managed to win two POV’s, which were crucial wins that helped secure my own and my allies safety. My biggest strength was making sure I was protected at all angles, even when I had no power of my own. I believe my relationships and positioning in this game, gave me the ability to stay protected, which all lead me to these Final 3 chairs. #ASBB5 JAMES Hi Jurors, Those of you who have had the (mis)fortune of playing games with me in the past probably know about my cutthroat nature, or how I have a tendency to mistreat people solely for my own benefit. Coming into this game, I wanted to take a different approach. This season, I wanted to play a more honest game; and play a game where I was not just reliant on comp wins to carry me to the end. I did both of these. I avoided making any unnecessary promises, did not start conversations just for the sake of speaking and lying to people, and stuck to my word as much as possible - everything I said to was true at the moment it was said. I won 6 competitions, but none of them were essential for my survival in the game. During the beginning of the game, I leveraged winning the first HOH to solidify my position, along with my partner, across various groups of 4 and 6 within the Water House. This allowed me to establish loyalty with pre-existing connections, as well as begin making new connections that would carry on deep into the game. Once the houses merged, my next focus was on setting myself up well socially. There had been various people who had started engaging in conversations with me prior to the houses coming together, so I was able to strengthen some of these relationships further. Between weeks 2-8, the only competition I won was the Week 5 POV (during the split houses), which I successfully used to demonstrate loyalty to the majority of the house by discarding, favouring both the HOH who wanted nominations kept the same, and gaining favour with people such as Glitter and Modern, either of which would have been the likely renom. During this period I gained particular closeness to Chibi, LQ, and Oren - 3 people without a partner, 3 people I gained a healthy position on their totem pole, and 3 people who my relationship with benefitted me at various stages as we entered the jury phase. Moving into the endgame, winning an HOH was not crucial, but I was ready to take a shot at two of the biggest threats, Modern and Montana. I think this HOH was pivotal in setting myself up for success, as the way I played this round guaranteed a big threat left, but also enabled me to set myself up for the following rounds, as I do not believe I would have left the game being on the block vs anybody at the Final 6. Namely, this came down to my closeness with Jake, Oren, and Wes. Yes, Jake won the Final 6 HOH, but considering I had just nominated 2 of the 5 eligible winners of that competition, this demonstrated the strength of my social game in the weeks prior, guaranteeing my safety in a round where I could have been vulnerable and only one opportunity to save myself. Now, as recently as last round, I was the sole vote to evict another big threat in Modern. I believe that I deserve to win ASBB 5 because I utilised my competition wins to make moves that were going to best-position myself moving forward; curated and developed personal and game relationships to increase my likelihood of surviving any evictions I may encounter; and strategically manoeuvring, making decisions that would best position myself moving forward, yet not at the expense of other people's trust and emotions. I knew what to say and when to say it; I knew when to win and how to reap the rewards of it; and I knew how something would benefit my game and what approach was needed to achieve it.
