Genuine question
Why do you personally not play Hysteria? I'm curious to hear the opinions of those who frown upon it or those who want to play but shy away.

While I know I can do well in Hysteria in most circumstances (given I don't get random HOH'd out on day 1, i will likely win power for the next 4-5 days and secure a good placement. That is 1. not engaging to me. and 2. I piss off like 4 people if I do have to be social and actually play the game, and it has gotten me harrassed like 2-3 times by 2-3 individuals and it just does not feel worth it with how unhinged some people get.
It seems like one of the games where you SPECIFICALLY need a premade to do well. On top of that, and this is noah fence to anyone but im not really in the mood to play a game where the top 10 of the HoF is going to just trade HoH's and POVs
I enjoy the game, but I don't have any motivation to play when there's no ranking system attached to it. Race/Arena I am fine playing because there's almost certainly a guarantee I won't have to backstab friends. Hysteria I will 99% have to backstab a friend in order to win and I no longer think it's worth it if I won't gain any ELO.
I enjoy the game, but I feel like if you don’t play it regularly those who do have so many preexisting relationships there’s only so much you can do. Kinda like the frenzy games. At least in hysteria you have comps to save yourself, but I feel like the game has the same few ppl in it over and over.
Goomybear I just got 10th because I tried to play in a game where I knew no one and started fresh. But since I was late in everyone already had their alliances. Then the HOH gets picked random so you can't really do anything about it then.
I've been wanting to play for so long lmfao, however, the games almost never fill and when I do have time to play a game, they are at like 3/11

I think of it as playing Frenzy except I have no chance of getting HOH or POV

If I’m playing hysteria i can’t be a nuke so I only play them when i know i can give the competitions my best effort.

tbh my biggest issue is the layout. It's so ugly, I get irrationally angry that the avatars have boxes around them and that the game chat is on the right side and game info on the left. I don't like how the PMs look in there, and the whole thing just feels OFF to me

because my undiagnosed mental illness makes me go absolutely feral anytime someone nominates me or doesnt save me. so for the sake of us all, i avoid it! similar to you not saving me in golden star! FERAL!

my reason prob isnt relevant to anyone else but it just stresses me out having to choose between my friends/people i like in games like that. i also feel like the casts are too small if the casts were bigger and i had more options of ppl to target id probably be more willing to play then too
