my experience - owning a shop<3

okay so i wanted to write a quick lil thing on how i found it to have a shop on kovaze.. this is to motivate other new designers who haven’t had the courage to open a shop yet themselves, or simply for people that are interested in learning about my experience. the idea of starting a shop had been on my mind since i started designing, but i was very scared to do it. what if people didn’t like my designs? what if i’d flop? what if it’d be a waste of money? i just wanted it to go well because i set high standards for myself in every single thing i do, even silly little things like a shop on an online platform🤣 but when people were reaching out to me saying they loved my designs and encouraging me to sell them, i finally found the confidence, made my shop and placed a bid. i spent 1.7k to open the shop, secretly hoping my bid wouldn’t be enough so i had more time.. but it was honestly such a steal and i got my shop! i woke up around 11:20pm kvt and uploaded some of my stock. i got my first sale at about as soon as i posted, which felt really rewarding! in the first hour, i already sold 12 items.. like what?? i was less than 200 koinz away from break even after an hour, which blew my mind. the sales just kept coming in and in- that meant people really really liked my designs and i was so happy! in total i made 23.6k in sales total and within less than 48 hours, all 40 of my stock was sold out. i still can’t believe how succesful things were, but it gave me such a motivation boost to keep designing and maybe even open a shop again in the future. for now i feel like it was just a one time thing to get the experience, but you never know! the positive reactions and feedback have really boosted my spirits and confidence, so i’m very grateful for that. for all the people that helped me with my questions, thank you as well🩷 and of COURSE.. a big thank you to everyone that supported my shop<3 it’s so fun and nice to see people in games wearing the outfits i made and i’m just really relieved and happy my designs were received well, rather than being laughed at. i managed to help out some friends as well by selling my designs for the lowest possible prices, which also felt nice to be able to do! some overall stats: total in sales: 23.600 koinz made: 4.720 total profit: 3.020 it was quite addicting to keep refreshing my page and see if i made any sales, it was also rlly fun to see who bought what in the shop history! i think this was a satisfying, succesful first shop experience and we shall see if mel’s bakery will be back in the future:) thank you all so much for the support, i’m very very grateful and relieved you liked my work🩷 to anyone still on the fence about selling their designs, my advice would be to just do it and see how it goes! don’t let fear hold you back, because it might bring you happiness and satisfaction<3<3
