Does anyone agree..
If you suck at comps you are never going to excel too well on this website. Most of the people that are at the top of the HOF play Race/Arena and are good at comps. It makes me lose motivation a bit as I just am not good, people tell me to practice but I don't have time to play that many games. I think some slower games with the ability to obtain more points would be good. I don't enjoy playing the mini-games which is fair, idk if others agree.
I enjoy the site, but it is certainly how I feel when I suck at comps

Edit: I just want to say this isn't me complaining. I really enjoy the site, but being awful at online mini games makes it just an uphill battle and therefore I don't enroll in over half of the games available to me

I agree they should have more than 1 game type that doesn’t involve competitions and they should have a game type where only newer players are allowed to play even if it means less players for it
I agree with you. When the site was new I enjoyed arena because I could actually compete as we were all on a level playing field, but now that the top players got so good at comps from playing a million races and arenas, I comparatively suck.

I’m not tremendously bad at comps, but I agree completely. I don’t have the time available to join tons of games every day and practice comps to improve at the rate as most people. Additionally it does prevent me from joining arena or hysteria because I know unless I get really lucky with like luck comps odds are I don’t have a chance to obtain power in any way which is really the only way to build quick trust with people is leveraging power ! I think the only realistic solution is to add some less skill based competitions to have a healthy balance where skill based players can’t completely steamroll. Like a “find me” game isn’t really reliant on skill. Or even a memory based challenge like flipping cards to reveal matches.
I definitely agree with you! I would consider myself average at comps and even I cannot do well. I think however the negative to a voting sort of game is it encourages premades so I can see why they're popular. I think maybe some sort of game with hidden identities would work well that isn't competition based where you can pick an avatar to play behind and it doesn't get revealed until the end of the game.

That's exactly it. I usually only have time to play 2 or 3 games a day, and sometimes I don't even end up playing because when I look, there are slots waiting to be filled for hours. In competition-based games, I always end up doing badly. When I try an Arena, depending on the mode selected, I end up getting eliminated in the first 2 rounds; there's no way to even practice that way.
No because everyone sucks at the comps at first, part of the fun is improving in them.
Malibu I do not improve, I actually have got worse and I don't have the time to practice and improve. I work 50 hours a week. The people who are Non US/Canada who work jobs late are at a heavy disadvantage - When I work through the night & active in the day there is literally nothing filling

outcasted payouts are really good but yea agreed the site could afford more games that aren't comp based
A traitors game would also be quite fun! But it is difficult to stop people telling people their role in the game with things such as discord. So I am unsure how it would really work on here.
PadamPadam if there was a Traitors like game maybe there could be challenges but to earn Coins like the show. Whatever money that isn't earned goes into the Traitor pot that will be split at the end if they make it there or something like that. Maybe alternate. One round Coin Pot then Point Pot (with a set limit). Maybe that will ensure people won't reveal their roles. Hell make it like Slasher that the N had 500 years ago. But I do agree, I wish there was another social focused aspect game because I don't want to rely on luck challenges or someone carrying me in comps. Yes we have Frenzy but everything is fast. You can't get to know someone in 3 minutes. But maybe not a game based on activity but more on relationships built hence the social aspect.
NicoRobin I agree but people can SS and send people their fellow traitors roles etc. It is heavily based on trust. I host traitors ORGs and LRGs so it is very very difficult to control

tengaged was like that too (hunger/survivor/frookies), even castings you could win ur way to the end. I do think we need more social games but being good at comps will always provide an advantage
Dream The old Rookies were good - where activity got you HOH or POV and social game was what mattered. If it was done like Outcasted/Hysteria waiting rooms you could avoid pre-mades and the game could be perfect.
Dream Maybe do challenges every other day just to weed out full inactives so it isn't the same. They wouldn't do it the same anyway as this is a new site and they haven't copied anything from the other. So I am sure there would be a way to make it a lot better :)
Outcasted now is my favorite game ! It have comps but not based only to how good you are at comps
Dimitra I like it a lot and I just made it to f2 in my game with just one immunity win with Lucky Drop, so it is certainly possible, but still an uphill battle not being good haha!

I do think we need a long game that is social based. Then I think it will be a fair balance of everything.
SexyTex Yeah, I truly miss being able to actually get to know people. Some of the best friends I had back then I met in Castings and we stayed in touch through the years and even ended up meeting! Vanili flew over and we met. I met her in a Casting :)

Dimitra I totally agree - the old Rookies from back in 2009 time or old castings. I really miss them, it was a time to actually get to know your community rather than the backstabbing/game play etc

edmxxnd I don't have the time to be playing too many games. I work a lot of shifts and when I am off I tend to be travelling. It's similar to orgs - I don't have the time to play them anymore, so I have to stick to mini's as they're less time consuming. I wouldn't mind a chill game like casting as a slow game
