The Ring has been a major success in and of itself. We've had over 5000 Ring matches played today alone. Daily logins are averaging the highest they ever have!
That said, it has taken the attention away from the other games on the site, which isn't ideal. Of course, The Ring is still new which accounts for a lot of the hype, but it's still worth discussing whether we want to implement some sort of Daily Game Rotation to give every game a chance to shine. This could look something like a 24 hour countdown which will bring two or three new fast games into the rotation. Or, for The Ring, having an unranked queue available at all times and a ranked queue available twice a week (which has been suggested by some of you already). For slow games, this could be a weekly countdown.
This could also help games release more often. Hype is a finite resource and every time I release a game, I have to consider which older game is going to have it's thunder stolen. This would mostly erase that concern.

But also double down on the payouts.. make one game higher each day of the week, make gameshows payout MUCH MUCH MUCH more or atleast points/vending koins idk but idk why we budget the gameshows so heavily lol, noone would be upset we turn those payouts up to an 11. I seen hwests last one paid like a total od 10,000 koins and THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT THAT IS VALID. Plz dont make us play a 4 hour game and win 200 koins.
I do not think a unranked Ring will help anything, i truly believe that would go the opposite direction we want! I do however think we need more events people, even if they have very little power. We went from having 6 or so people posting games daily, listening to us and over night it went to just Sin/hwest14 hosting or doing anything at all. I know we put applications for events team, but i think its important to have atleast 1 events team person who is able to throw special games/ask for suggestions ever 8 hour shit of kovaze. Currently 8am - 4pm central time is a dead zone when its one of the most popular log in times. Logging on to see no special games, having to basically beg or piss someone off to see a special game.. thats annoying and i believe alot of people log off or just play the ring because of this. I also think its important to pick people who will contunially help this issue, not for 2-3 days then go MIA. It makes the site feel like we're going backwards, i mean hell when was the last event that isnt a gameshow? ALSO THE GAMESHOWS ARE TOO FUN FOR ONCE EVERY 2+ DAYS!!! But yeah just throw me on events team, i wont let kovaze down.
I think releasing some of the new modes in race that are currently only run as events (Morgana/Partner Swap/etc) as modes and changing powerup rotation more frequently could help with hype in race. The ring it's weird, I could see shutting it down for 2 days a week or something like that
Alexa I would like those modes to be permanent modes in race too if it's possible to do that.
I would still like the race games to be available to play every day. Because that is my favorite game on this site. I really enjoy it.
Sin here's how u get people joining games again. i have a masters degree honey 1. significantly raise koinz payouts in games and keep the ring at no payouts until end of season 2. reduce the profit that shop owners make, maybe like a 1000-2000 koinz fee for your shop to open after you get it. 3. shop prices will rise and kovazians will need to either join more games or buy more koinz to afford designs if we don't need to earn koinz or points then yeah the ring will become the hub of this site. you control the kovaze economy soooo just make us need more koinz and offer those koinz in games to make up for the price increases
I think there should be a schedule for events featuring the games most requested by users. For instance, arenas tend to fill up faster, but there’s an issue where people often only start joining once there are already about 6 players in a match. I believe a schedule of community-favored events would help increase turnover. Right now, the "ring" seems to get all the attention, which makes it take longer for other game modes to fill up—unless, of course, there were a more frequent schedule of events across the various games.
tant: functionality without unnecessary complexity. It doesn't need an instruction manual, a software update, or a subscription service. It doesn't require validation from strangers on the internet. It has one responsibility, and provided it performs that responsibility adequately, I see no reason to demand anything more from it. Perhaps there is a lesson there about our own expectations of ourselves and others. In conclusion, I firmly believe the humble cup deserves more appreciation than it receives. It is dependable, practical, occasionally sentimental, and fundamentally important to everyday life. We should stop overlooking the ordinary things that quietly make our lives easier. And if nothing else, the next time you reach into your cupboard for a beverage, perhaps take a moment to appreciate the little ceramic vessel making the entire experience possible.
Well the reason why people play the ring that much time is because other game felt like forever to fill in. Some even need 12 hours while the ring only wait like 1-2 minute for the game to start. So I think the best way is for you to change the format of the regular games so that it would take interest of others to play it again, like you said the ring = new = lot of hype, why don't you do the same for the regular game?
I do not believe changing the ring will help - i would not play the ring if it was unranked bc what is the point where there is no rewards, and I do believe the increase in games filling was because of the halloween event which really was a big brained idea. That said I think the game rotation is a good idea to force people into certain games, but I worry changing the ring (whether turning it off or making unranked games) will just drive down users rather than fill more games
btw i think there is hugeeee potential for an automated popular team challenge format game with the challenges that appear in gameshows like hockey, orbs, etc., i think a team challenge format could be popular potentially and something missing from the website
game rotations could be interesting to see how it works, people forced to join a select few games instead of options spreading thin; i see the vision
People play "The Ring" a lot because there are hardly any other games available, and since they get bored, they play "The Ring" while waiting for another game to start.

If you're looking at limitations, it makes more sense to limit the amount of times people are allowed to play ring a day, or to offset a ring cooldown by playing in a real game (Arena, Race, etc.). If people are enjoying The Ring and it's keeping them on the site then I think it would be counter-intuitive to rotate ranked/unranked, there's sure to be people who are just going to go offline when they cannot play The Ring which created a new problem in it of itself. In business, there is a system to get to the root issue by perpetually asking why: Why are games not filling as frequently? Many players are choosing to play the ring. Why is players choosing an alternative game an issue? There aren't enough players left to fill others games. Why aren't there enough players left to fill the games? There aren't enough active players to fill both. Why aren't there enough active players to fill both? Not everyone who would be interested in Kovaze knows of its existence. The larger conversation to be had is a player base issue. In order to have variety, you need to have enough people to sustain the variation. It's basic supply and demand. There is not enough supply (players) for the demand (5 main games + outcasted/celebs/royale + the ring) I think the focus should be finding ways to grow the site to allow more people to fill in these necessary gaps. If there were more players here this issue wouldn't be needing addressed in the same way. Yes, Kovazia is a beautiful safe space and I know many of the people here feel territorial of this space, but expansion is exactly what we need at this point to keep the server fresh and fun! I think it would be smart to look into partnering with the discord big brother communities. There is a ROBLOX Big Brother server that hosts mini seasons daily that has 7500+ people in their discord server and an active player base of at least 600-1k players daily with around 50-100 people online in the server at all times. They can almost always fill a game within 15 minutes of announcing it so long as people want to play because they have the casting pool to do so. The only times their seasons get cancelled are at like 2am+. I know the owner personally and I think it could benefit you to advertise there. I think it also would be smart to ask those who play here and host their own games on other platforms (whether that be an ORG/ROBLOX game/etc.) to promote Kovaze and help funnel their player base into here. brookie Unranked could be non-live, or it could be invite based (Eg. if two people want to go head to head in Relics lets say, they can just invite each other into an unranked ring game)
You could also set a limit of 20–30 Ring matches per day for each user! I think that would help a lot. Players who are very competitive tend to get addicted to it because they want to reach the top of the leaderboard, so they end up focusing all their attention on The Ring instead of the other games. Alternatively, you could make the ranked mode available only during the last week of each month. For the rest of the month, The Ring could simply be used as a practice mode, where people can train for the challenges or just play casually when they’re bored. Now it’s Carnival time game for us who we are SO BAD at comps haha
Dimitra I think a limit could be good! But I'm worried it would slow down the matchmaking :( We don't want people waiting a long time to find a ring match either. Ranked queue on the last week is a great idea to consider. I've also heard Ranked queue on the weekends.
Sin I’ve noticed that some users aren’t very active on weekends, so that might lead to some complaints. I think having ranked mode available during the last week of each month would work better, since it gives everyone the opportunity to play throughout the week. But something definitely needs to change, because it feels like 90% of the players are focusing all their attention on The Ring right now.
With another event like Halloween, people would be more motivated to play games!
Carmencita That's true and I'll definitely be adding more events like that soon! :) I'm also thinking long term, for example in a years time when we have 5 more games on the website - older games like Race and Arena might become less active. It would be a shame to throw those to the side because people love playing them, and I can't see this solved without a rotation. It doesn't have to be daily, it could even be a once every 2 hour thing, but I think it's worth considering that so we can have a lot more games without having to worry about losing some older ones.
Sin thats cool! I think it is important that players get a reward for the points on games, like we had with the dices.
