The Haus Has Eyes Episode 8- Trash to Treasure
TEN QUEENS. TEN MATERIALS. AND ONE QUEEN WITH A WHOLE LOT TO SAY!
HELLOOOOO, MY BEAUTIFUL SINNERS!
It’s your favorite glamorous gossip, professional shade distributor, and the only queen who can read you while wearing the Sunday newspaper — ONYX ROYALE!
Baby, tonight I’m sitting on my fabulous purple velvet couch in a custom newspaper couture creation, holding my The Haus Has Eyes cue card and wondering why the hell I ever spent money on designer clothing when apparently I could’ve been shopping in the recycling bin!
The CEO has challenged the remaining ten queens of Drag Haus to transform unconventional materials into runway masterpieces.
And the instructions were CLEAR!
Not decorate a dress with garbage. Not glue random objects onto a corset and call it innovation.
THE MATERIAL MUST BECOME THE FASHION!
And baby, some of these queens understood that assignment so well they deserve honorary degrees in engineering.
Others? Well, let’s just say the recycling truck might need to make another stop.
These are MY reactions and scores, not the CEO’s official judging.
Let’s get into it!

🛍️ 1. ALPHA KILLER — akaliuchis
Material: Grocery Bags
ALPHA, BITCH!
WHO SENT YOU TO THE GROCERY STORE WITH A BLACK CARD AND A DREAM?!
Because you have walked out here looking like the entire supermarket decided to sponsor Paris Fashion Week!
First of all, this SILHOUETTE!
The exaggerated shoulders, that snatched little waist, those sculptural hips, and the enormous cascading train? Baby, you came prepared to occupy the ENTIRE runway.
And I love that I can still identify the grocery bags. Those handles, printed logos, and translucent layers are incorporated into the actual design rather than simply hanging off a conventional gown.
THAT is what I want to see!
Now, Alpha, I do think you got a little carried away with the volume. The shoulders are fighting the hips, the hips are fighting the train, and the train is fighting for custody of the entire runway.
Everybody wants to be the main character!
A slightly cleaner silhouette would’ve given this look even more impact.
But let’s not pretend this isn’t fabulous.
You took something people normally throw away after unloading groceries and transformed it into an extravagant couture fantasy.
ONYX’S SCORE: 9.4/10 ⭐
⸻
📎 2. CARAMELANIE — Mel
Material: Paper Clips
CARAMELANIE!
WHAT IN THE STAPLES, OFFICE DEPOT, AND PLANETARIUM COMBINATION SPECIAL IS THIS?!
Baby, somebody gave you paper clips, and you decided to become the entire SOLAR SYSTEM!
And I am OBSESSED.
The metallic chains, the suspended orbital rings, the structured bodice, and that extraordinary headpiece create something that feels more like a futuristic fashion sculpture than an ordinary dress.
But here’s why I love this look.
You have taken a material that is small, rigid, and seemingly insignificant and used repetition and clever construction to create volume, movement, and architecture.
That is ingenuity.
The paper clips appear to form the actual garment, not just decorate it.
And that spherical hip construction? BRILLIANT!
Now, I’m not entirely convinced this is the most practical runway ensemble. One wrong turn and you might accidentally clip yourself to the lighting rig.
But who cares?!
This is drag, darling. We didn’t come here to be practical!
ONYX’S SCORE: 9.8/10 ⭐
⸻
🥛 3. DIMILUX — Dimitra
Material: Milk Bottles
DIMILUX!
GIRL!
YOU LOOK LIKE A DAIRY FARM GOT A VEGAS RESIDENCY!
And why am I LIVING?!
The cow print, those electric blue bottle caps, the enormous sculptural hips, and that bright pink hair?
BABY, THIS IS CAMP!
You have created a character, a concept, and an entire visual identity from something as ordinary as milk packaging.
And I appreciate that.
But Dimilux, you know I love you enough to tell you the truth.
Some of these bottles and cartons still look very much like bottles and cartons.
I see the arrangement. I see the shape. I see the effort.
But I wanted more transformation.
Cut them apart! Reshape them! Manipulate that plastic until I forget it ever held two percent milk!
Because right now, parts of this look feel like a spectacular costume assembled from packaging rather than a completely reconstructed couture garment.
Still, the personality is undeniable.
And baby, that headpiece looks like it could personally cure lactose intolerance.
ONYX’S SCORE: 8.8/10 ⭐
⸻
🧸 4. FAYE CHANCEY ROE — GuiltyAsSin
Material: Old Teddy Bears
FAYE!
OH, YOU BEAUTIFUL, STUFFED-ANIMAL HOARDER!
Baby, this looks like Build-A-Bear hosted a royal wedding and every guest got sewn into the bride’s dress!
And visually, this is GORGEOUS.
The warm browns, soft creams, and burgundy ribbons create such a rich, romantic color story.
That enormous shoulder treatment is beautiful, and the dramatic mermaid skirt gives the look an impressive silhouette.
And the matching headpiece?
FABULOUS!
But Faye, darling, we have a problem.
The CEO didn’t ask for the prettiest collection of teddy bears.
The CEO asked you to transform your material into fashion.
And while the bears create the volume of this gown, many of them appear to remain intact, clustered together around what looks like an underlying garment.
I wanted to see you push the material further.
Reconstruct the plush. Manipulate the stuffing. Create something unexpected from the fabric and fur.
Instead, you’ve given me an absolutely beautiful arrangement of teddy bears.
And there is a difference.
But I will say this: if somebody ever invites me to a haunted teddy-bear wedding, THIS is exactly what I’m wearing.
ONYX’S SCORE: 8.0/10 ⭐
⸻
📰 5. JORDIE — Jordie
Material: Magazines
JORDIE!
BITCH!
NOW YOU KNOW DAMN WELL I’M SITTING HERE IN NEWSPAPER COUTURE!
AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO WALK OUT LOOKING LIKE THE ENTIRE VOGUE ARCHIVE?!
THE DISRESPECT!
But baby, this is BEAUTIFUL.
The construction is so clean, the waist is beautifully defined, and those enormous sculptural folds create a breathtaking silhouette.
I love how the magazine pages have been pleated, curved, and manipulated into architectural forms.
The black edging adds definition, and the oversized paper rosette gives the skirt a dramatic focal point.
And that blonde sculptural hairstyle?
PERFECT.
This is the kind of look where I can immediately see the original material, but I can also appreciate how completely it’s been transformed.
The pages aren’t simply pasted onto an existing gown.
They’re creating the fashion.
Now, the overall ball-gown silhouette isn’t exactly revolutionary, but when the execution is this beautiful, I’m not going to complain just for the sake of complaining.
You delivered couture.
You delivered construction.
And you delivered a fashion editorial worthy of its own magazine cover.
ONYX’S SCORE: 9.9/10 ⭐
⸻
🥣 6. KORTREE YORK — Kimmie
Material: Yoghurt Pots
KORTREE!
WHAT IN THE ACTIVIA AFTERLIFE IS GOING ON HERE?!
Baby, you look like a futuristic dairy goddess who has returned to Earth to punish everybody with low calcium!
AND I LOVE IT!
This red-and-white color story is striking.
The enormous circular collar, that sharp architectural headpiece, and the elongated hourglass silhouette create something that looks genuinely otherworldly.
But what really impresses me is how the yoghurt pots have been used.
They’re not just decorations.
They’re the actual building blocks of the garment.
You have taken these rigid little containers and arranged them into a structured silhouette that follows the curves of the body.
That’s impressive.
Now, Kortree, I have one question.
HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO SIT DOWN?!
Because one wrong move and I feel like somebody’s going to hear a hundred yoghurt pots crack simultaneously.
But visually?
This is strong.
This is cohesive.
And most importantly, this demonstrates a real understanding of the material.
ONYX’S SCORE: 9.7/10 ⭐
⸻
💡 7. LEQUNT — LeQuishaQ
Material: Light Bulbs
LEQUNT!
TURN OFF THE STUDIO LIGHTS!
WE DON’T NEED THEM ANYMORE!
THIS BITCH IS POWERING THE ENTIRE BUILDING!
Baby, you have walked out looking like the chandelier from Beauty and the Beast finally got her own drag residency!
And this is a MOMENT.
The golden lighting is absolutely stunning. The elaborate headpiece, the illuminated corset, and that enormous chandelier-inspired skirt create a truly unforgettable presentation.
I love the symmetry.
I love the glamour.
And I love how unapologetically extravagant this is.
But LeQunt, I have to ask a very important question.
Are the light bulbs actually forming the garment, or are they primarily attached to a supporting structure?
Because those are two different things.
I can see how the bulbs create the visual effect, but the elaborate framework appears to be doing a significant amount of the structural work.
And the challenge is about material transformation.
Still, the concept is spectacular.
The execution is polished.
And nobody is forgetting this look anytime soon.
Baby, you might not have reinvented electricity, but you certainly made it FASHIONABLE!
ONYX’S SCORE: 8.9/10 ⭐
⸻
🍕 8. MERLLY MONSEHÁ — Maris
Material: Pizza Boxes
MERLLY!
OH, YOU DID NOT!
BABY, YOU TOOK A LARGE PEPPERONI AND TURNED IT INTO PARIS FASHION WEEK!
SOMEBODY CALL DOMINO’S AND TELL THEM THEIR BOXES HAVE A MODELING CONTRACT!
This is extraordinary.
The architectural collar, the elongated silhouette, the structured waist, and those incredible cascading cardboard strips?
GORGEOUS.
And what really makes this look successful is how the material has been manipulated.
Pizza boxes are rigid cardboard.
They’re flat.
They’re ordinary.
And somehow, you’ve transformed them into something that appears fluid, elegant, and almost textile-like.
Those dramatic loops hanging from the shoulders are especially beautiful.
The red checkerboard pattern has been integrated into the design rather than simply displayed as packaging.
And that headpiece?
BABY, YOU LOOK LIKE THE HIGH PRIESTESS OF THE PIZZA PARLOR!
I love that this isn’t trying to imitate a traditional evening gown.
It’s taking the material somewhere completely unexpected.
And that’s exactly what this challenge should encourage.
ONYX’S SCORE: 9.9/10 ⭐
⸻
📦 9. MUMMY — TommyXx
Material: Cereal Boxes
MUMMY!
COCO POPS?!
COCO DAMN POPS?!
BABY, YOU TURNED BREAKFAST INTO BALENCIAGA!
And I am absolutely delighted.
This silhouette is BEAUTIFUL.
The exaggerated shoulders, tiny waist, sculptural hips, and dramatic flared skirt create such a powerful hourglass shape.
And the cardboard construction appears remarkably clean.
I love that the cereal boxes have been folded and shaped into the actual garment rather than simply attached as decorative panels.
The packaging itself becomes the fashion.
THAT is the assignment.
Now, Mummy, I’m going to give you one little critique.
There’s a LOT of Coco Pops branding happening.
Baby, at this point, I feel like I’m watching a commercial!
A little more variation in the cardboard arrangement could have made the design feel even more sophisticated.
But the construction is impressive enough that I’m willing to overlook the aggressive breakfast advertising.
And that enormous blonde hair?
PERFECT.
This is playful, glamorous, and beautifully executed.
ONYX’S SCORE: 9.7/10 ⭐
⸻
🛞 10. ORGASMIQUE — Torree
Material: Recycled Tyres
ORGASMIQUE!
BITCH!
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
YOU TOOK OLD MICHELIN TYRES AND TURNED YOURSELF INTO THE QUEEN OF THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY!
And honey, THIS is how you close a runway!
The silhouette is absolutely breathtaking.
The tyre treads have been cut and manipulated into these beautiful spiraling strips that wrap around the body.
The construction follows the figure perfectly, creating a sculptural hourglass shape that feels elegant despite the industrial material.
And that headpiece?
EXCUSE ME?!
Those concentric tyre-tread arches are absolutely magnificent.
I love how they frame the face and connect visually to the rest of the garment.
And the asymmetrical draping adds such a beautiful sense of movement.
What impresses me most is that tyres are heavy, rigid, and completely unglamorous objects.
And yet, you’ve made them appear fluid and sophisticated.
That is genuine transformation.
Now, let’s address the matching greyhound.
Because apparently the bitch needed a DOG!
And you know what?
I love the styling.
But the dog isn’t carrying this look.
The garment is doing all the work.
This is one of those rare moments when the creativity, construction, silhouette, and material transformation all come together beautifully.
ONYX’S SCORE: 10.0/10 ⭐

👁️ ONYX’S CLOSING THOUGHTS
WHEWWWW, BABY!
TEN QUEENS!
TEN MATERIALS!
AND ENOUGH RECYCLABLES TO KEEP AN ENTIRE CITY BUSY FOR SIX MONTHS!
I have to give these queens their flowers because this was an incredibly creative runway.
Some of these designs genuinely made me question how the hell somebody could take such ordinary materials and create something so extraordinary.
But let’s be clear.
A beautiful photograph does not automatically equal a successful unconventional-materials garment.
The CEO emphasized transformation, and that’s what I paid attention to.
Did the queens manipulate their materials?
Did they construct actual silhouettes?
Did they create something new?
Or did they simply arrange recognizable objects into something visually appealing?
Those questions matter.
And based on what I could see, several queens absolutely delivered.
But these are MY reactions, MY opinions, and MY scores.
The CEO and panel will handle the official Drag Haus judging.
Me?
I’m just the fabulous bitch sitting on a purple couch, wearing yesterday’s headlines, telling you what I think about today’s fashion!
And if any of the queens have a problem with that?
BABY, SEND ME A LETTER!
I’ll use it to make my next outfit!
Until next time, remember:
THE RUNWAY MAY LIE.
THE QUEENS MAY TRY.
BUT THE HAUS HAS EYES! 👁️💋

All of you are rocking it this season
Haha, I absolutely love the way you write your critiques! 😂❤️ And I completely agree with everything you said. I actually started with a completely different concept using glass milk bottles, but it didn’t quite work out. I got a little confused by the rules and wasn’t sure which direction to take, because I really wanted to make sure I stayed within them. So I ended up starting from scratch and creating this look instead! But I totally understand your points, and I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you regardless! ❤️
Tyyysm 🤍 I love my look, but i loved it last week and i got the bottom so idk
I just want to make one thing clear. I HAD to use normal lightbulbs I could smash them up but I was specifically told it needs to be clear these are lightbulbs So while all the other contestants, could cut rip shred and bend their fabrics I was NOT allowed I’m not happy with my look by any means but I also think my particular “fabric” was a harder sell and my goal post was moved MUCH FURTHER than the other queens
