BOTH things can be bad at the same time. What you can control is your community. It always starts small. There are going to be flock cameras in every room on earth in 20 years. The trillionaires will force it. Should i not vocally oppose such things on my neighborhood street just because it'll eventually happen anyway no matter what i say?
RandyBandy well yelling at people in the community gives crackhead screaming at people on the subway and isn't the way to go about it. I think most people here have good ideas but lack the ability to articulate them other than shame which isn't the way to do anything effectively ill blog about that sometime
dim i think the vast majority of people talking about how bad A.I is on this website aren't shaming anyone. We are saying that it makes the website look bad and there is actual proof to this. New users are referring to A.I as a reason why they are turning away.

i do think AI art is overall a really bad thing for society but i agree its just a pebble in a pond
hauntedwaves yeah thats kind of my point. the solo people using it here who already know its bad aren't taking a shit in the flint michigan water. Its meta with their own LLM making their 10k employees use it for data analysis and entry every single day
