Tommy's Traitors Season 1 - EP 1 - "Potato Trap?!"
One castle. Twenty contestants. Three Traitors. And a first night that changes everything.
The candles are lit, the castle doors are closed, and twenty strangers have entered a game where the greatest danger may be the person sitting right beside them.
Welcome to The Traitors.
Before the first mission, before the first accusation, and before anyone has a chance to prove their loyalty, three players are secretly chosen to become the most dangerous people in the castle.
Marcus. Frankie. Tiffany.
Three wildly different personalities, bound together by one secret.
Marcus, the charismatic Leader, has the composure and confidence to become the castle's most trusted voice. Frankie, the rebellious wildcard, is unpredictable, confrontational and seemingly impossible to control. Tiffany, the glamorous Primadonna, knows that charm can be just as powerful as strategy.
Their first morning provides an early glimpse of the alliances that could define the game. Marcus catches Tiffany's eye across the table. No words are exchanged, but the message is clear. They both know what tonight means.
The Traitors have found one another. Now they must survive together.
Or so they hope.
CASTLE MORNING: SECRETS, SUSPICIONS AND ONE VERY QUESTIONABLE POTATO
With the first mission still ahead of them, the contestants begin navigating their new surroundings, and the castle wastes no time producing its first collection of bizarre encounters.
Rafael, the Wannabe Villain, discovers a trapdoor in the scullery. Arthur refuses to investigate. Rafael ventures downstairs anyway, only to return with a single potato and absolutely no explanation.
Whether this is an elaborate strategy, a failed treasure hunt or the beginning of a very strange side quest remains unclear.
Elsewhere, Beatrice and Ollie begin noticing something unusual about Arthur. Following the Traitor selection, Arthur's shifting allegiances appear almost rehearsed. Their movements and changing relationships leave both players suspicious, adding the first cracks to Arthur's already precarious position.
Rafael, meanwhile, sits alone in the hall, watching everyone and mentally recording their movements. He may call himself a Wannabe Villain, but he's certainly committing to the atmosphere.
Brooke has a less successful private moment. Attempting to begin a personal journalling session in the sitting room, the Spinmaster suddenly realises they're writing in the castle's guest book. The book is quietly closed. The evidence is abandoned. Nobody needs to know.
Beatrice, however, finds something more meaningful in the garden. Brooke opens up about something they haven't shared with anyone else in the castle, and Beatrice listens without judgement. Their relationship deepens, creating a bond that could become valuable in a game where trust is increasingly difficult to find.
Then comes Beatrice's first major act of destruction: attempting to light the fireplace and briefly setting their own sleeve alight.
Thankfully, nobody is hurt. The castle survives. The contestants get a laugh.
The fireplace, presumably, has learned to fear Beatrice.
THE FIRST MISSION: FIVE SHIELDS, $30,000 AND A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY
The contestants complete their first mission, adding $30,000 to the prize fund and bringing the total to $55,000.
But the prize money isn't the only reward.
Five players earn Shields, protecting them from Murder Night:
Felix
Mavis
Marcus
Priya
Darius
For Marcus, the Shield is an extraordinary stroke of luck. Not only is he secretly one of the Traitors, but he is now protected from the very danger he is supposed to help orchestrate.
Mavis and Priya also gain valuable protection, while Felix and Darius can breathe a little easier heading into their first night.
For the remaining contestants, however, the stakes are suddenly very real. Someone will be murdered, and there is no guarantee that the most suspicious player will be the one who goes home.
CASTLE EVENING: EVERYONE HAS A THEORY
As the Round Table approaches, the castle's atmosphere shifts. The early friendliness gives way to suspicion, competing theories and a growing sense that every conversation might be a trap.
Samir, the Conman, manages to drop his pen four separate times during the afternoon walk-through. Four times, someone kindly retrieves it. It is a small, ridiculous moment, but in a castle full of suspicious people, even the most ordinary behaviour is beginning to feel noteworthy.
Brooke, meanwhile, corners Ollie before the vote and asks a simple question: "Where were you last night?"
Ollie's answer fails to satisfy.
Suspicion rises, and Brooke begins questioning whether the Nerd is being entirely forthcoming.
Beatrice and Ollie have more productive conversations about Arthur. They compare notes on Arthur's shifting alliances, filling in gaps in one another's understanding of the day's events. Their theories begin to align, and their relationship strengthens as they move closer to a shared target.
Beatrice is so committed to the plan that they rehearse their Round Table speech in the mirror, only to be caught doing it by three separate people. Subtlety may not be their strongest asset.
Marcus, on the other hand, is playing a much quieter game. The Leader makes a point of checking in on the most anxious contestants, offering reassurance and building relationships across the castle. Small gestures have a significant impact, and Marcus is steadily positioning himself as someone people can trust.
It is an excellent strategy for a Faithful.
It is an even better strategy for a Traitor.
THE SUSPECTS MULTIPLY
Arthur isn't the only person attracting attention.
Marcus begins quietly building a case against Luca, arguing that the Chad's apparent composure and low profile are suspicious. Mavis is close to accepting the theory, although not entirely convinced.
Frankie takes a different approach, repeatedly gravitating towards Samir in conversation, probing and watching for signs of deception. Their attention raises suspicion around the Conman.
But Frankie is also becoming a target.
Arthur asks Valentino to identify a moment when Frankie appeared genuinely stressed. The answer isn't immediately forthcoming, but the question plants another seed of doubt. Arthur's suspicions grow, and Frankie finds themselves under increasing pressure.
Then Frankie breaks down quietly in a corner of the castle, admitting they cannot take the situation anymore. The emotional moment damages their relationships with nearby players and adds another layer of uncertainty to their already complicated position.
Are they genuinely overwhelmed, or is the pressure of the game beginning to expose something deeper?
Nobody has a definitive answer.
Tiffany is meanwhile developing suspicions of their own. The Primadonna cannot shake the feeling that Echo is hiding something, spending the afternoon searching for evidence that might confirm their instincts.
Yet Tiffany is also pursuing Priya as a potential target, arguing to Simon that Priya's answers are suspiciously polished. Simon listens, and Tiffany's theory begins to gain traction.
With Marcus watching Luca, Tiffany questioning Priya, Frankie challenging Rafael and Beatrice building a case against Arthur, the castle is rapidly becoming a web of competing suspicions.
The Traitors are not the only ones scheming.
The question is whether any of these theories will actually lead to a Traitor.
THE ROUND TABLE: FOUR TARGETS, ONE DISASTROUS DECISION
As the contestants gather for the first Round Table, the competing strategies become clear.
Four names emerge as the primary targets: Arthur, Frankie, Luca and Priya.
PLAN A: ARTHUR
Beatrice leads the charge against Arthur, arguing that their shifting allegiances are too convenient to ignore. Ollie supports the theory, and several others begin to see Arthur as an untrustworthy player whose relationships change depending on the circumstances.
Arthur refuses to beg for their place in the game. Instead, they turn attention towards Luca, urging the group to consider the possibility that the quietest players may be the most dangerous.
PLAN B: FRANKIE
Arthur also pushes a separate case against Frankie, describing them as a power threat who cannot be allowed to reach the end. Valentino and several others become involved in the theory, placing Frankie under serious pressure before the vote even begins.
Frankie recognises what is happening.
"They are using the roundtable to remove a threat, not to find a Traitor. There is a difference."
It is a compelling argument, but it may not be enough to save them.
PLAN C: LUCA
Marcus continues making the case that Luca's composure is an act. According to Marcus, Luca wants everyone to believe they are nobody's concern, and that apparent harmlessness is precisely what makes them suspicious.
Luca is frustrated by the accusation.
"Apparently staying out of drama makes me suspicious now. I cannot win."
The theory begins to gain momentum, although Luca has no idea just how much influence Marcus is exerting behind the scenes.
PLAN D: PRIYA
Tiffany pushes the final major theory, suggesting that Priya's answers are too clean and too rehearsed for someone navigating such an uncertain game.
Priya insists that they have been honest with everyone and asks the group to remember that before making their decision.
As the vote approaches, the castle is divided between four competing targets. Nobody can be certain which theory will prevail.
THE DELIBERATION
Samir opens the discussion confidently, scanning the table as though they already know where the vote should land.
Ollie follows with a direct declaration: Arthur is their target.
Marcus agrees that the evening is important, while Beatrice delivers a pointed accusation. Arthur, they argue, has been warm with everyone but close with no one. Is that simply their personality, or a deliberate survival strategy?
Beatrice has already decided.
Arthur remains composed, refusing to raise their voice or beg for mercy. Instead, they make one final attempt to redirect attention towards Luca.
Rafael admits to feeling both relieved that someone else has voiced the accusation against Arthur and horrified that the group is considering it. Frankie reinforces the case, pointing to Arthur's shifting loyalties as evidence of strategic positioning rather than genuine friendship.
But then Marcus introduces a complication.
Rather than allowing the Arthur discussion to proceed uninterrupted, he asks the group to explain Frankie's behaviour. It is a subtle attempt to redirect suspicion towards another player, and it threatens to fracture the growing consensus.
Priya pushes back, insisting that the group finish one conversation before opening another.
Marcus nevertheless raises Luca's name again, determined that the Chad should not escape scrutiny.
Tiffany makes a similar intervention, raising Priya as an alternative target. Felix observes that the group is split between competing names and argues that someone must make a decision before the votes are cast.
Arthur gets one final word.
"Fine. Make the mistake. But when you find out I was right, I need you to remember this exact moment."
Priya closes with a warning: the group is being pushed towards division, and they must not allow it to happen.
But the decision is already approaching.
The votes are about to reveal which theory has won the battle.
THE VOTE: LUCA IS BANISHED
The final tally delivers a result that few could have predicted from the opening discussions.
Luca receives nine votes.
Frankie receives five. Priya receives four. Arthur receives two.
The competing plans have collapsed into a single overwhelming decision, and Luca becomes the first contestant banished from the castle.
The result is a devastating blow for the Faithful.
Luca is revealed to be FAITHFUL.
The Traitors have survived their first Round Table without losing a single member of their secret alliance. Worse still, the group has eliminated an innocent player while several of its most prominent suspicions remain unresolved.
Marcus's campaign against Luca has succeeded spectacularly. Whether the other contestants realise how effectively they have been steered remains to be seen.
For Arthur, the result offers a reprieve. For Frankie, it provides temporary relief from the accusations gathering around them. For Priya, the vote is a warning that being perceived as too polished can be just as dangerous as appearing suspicious.
And for the Faithful as a whole, the first banishment establishes a brutal reality.
They can be absolutely convinced and still be completely wrong.
MURDER NIGHT: THE TRAITORS ENTER THE TURRET
With Luca banished, the three Traitors gather in the turret to decide who will become the castle's first murder victim.
Marcus, Frankie and Tiffany are still intact, but their first private discussion reveals that unity may not come naturally.
Marcus opens with a reassurance.
"We're good. We are still good. Just don't do anything stupid in the next twelve hours."
Frankie has already identified a potential threat.
Zuri, the Total Package, appears composed and intuitive. Frankie worries that another week in the castle could allow Zuri to connect the dots and begin identifying the Traitors.
But Frankie has another name in mind: Nia.
They argue that Nia's read on the game is too strong, and that leaving them in the castle could eventually expose the secret alliance.
Marcus disagrees.
He appreciates Frankie's reasoning but insists that Zuri remains the preferred target. The decision is final, at least for tonight.
"One voice, one move. We can argue later."
It is the first clear sign of tension between the Traitors. Frankie is willing to challenge the plan, while Marcus is determined to maintain control.
Before the meeting ends, Frankie reminds the others that they must appear surprised the following morning. Nobody can reveal that they knew anything about the murder.
Marcus also confirms that Mavis is protected by a Shield and must not be targeted.
The decision is made.
Zuri will not see another sunrise in the castle.
THE MORNING AFTER: ONE EMPTY CHAIR
Dawn breaks over the castle grounds.
At breakfast, one chair remains empty.
ZURI HAS BEEN MURDERED.
The Total Package becomes the first victim of the Traitors, leaving the remaining contestants to confront another devastating loss before they have even begun to understand the game.
For the Faithful, the murder offers a new puzzle. Why Zuri? Was the choice strategic? Did the Traitors fear their intuition, or was there another reason for the attack?
The answer remains hidden behind three carefully maintained masks.
Marcus, Frankie and Tiffany have completed their first night as Traitors. They have survived the Round Table, eliminated a potential threat and removed a player Frankie feared could eventually expose them.
But the first cracks have already appeared.
Marcus wants control. Frankie wants to challenge the plan. Tiffany's own suspicions of Echo and Priya could complicate the group's next decisions.
And somewhere in the castle, Beatrice and Ollie are still watching Arthur.
The game has barely begun, yet the Faithful have already made one fatal mistake.
The Traitors have made their first kill.
The Black Veil has claimed its first blood.
To be continued...
