idk how to shoot balls

I had fun jumping the platforms, I used arrow keys for that, but then when I got up to the platform I didn't know how to shoot my balls. What am I supposed to be pressing? I have a track pad. Should I play it with my touch screen instead and also still what would I press to shoot
