Rest in peace to my sweet angel puppy

Some of you may have remembered earlier this year when my dog (who turned 12 in July) got sick and we all thought she was going through the end stage of her life and that we only had a few weeks left due to cancer... Well..that ended up being precancerous polyps and actually weren't detrimental to her life. I'm so thankful that we got more time when we did. It was needed. We had to put her to rest today due to her going into some pretty severe (and unexpected) kidney failure. She went downhill so fast and just began suffering, so we had no other choice but to end her pain. I seriously didn't know it was possible to love a dog as much as I loved her, and I also didn't know it was possible for dogs to feel such love and care to their people. She was seriously such a fierce and loyal protector, the sweetest dog that I have ever met in my entire life, and she had such a big personality. I'm going to miss her so much, but I'm so eternally grateful that I got as much time with her as I did. She truly taught me so much about myself and about life in general. I know that might sound stupid and some people might think...it's just a dog? You didn't know her like I did. Every time I cried this dog would immediately come up to me and lick the tears off of my face and just hug me. Even if she was perfectly happy, distracted with toys/food, or not feeling well. I'm happy I got to repay her the favor in her final moments and that she was surrounded by love. I've honestly come to believe that maybe souls really do exist. I love you so much Ripley <3
