Skinnisha Survivor S3 EP 3 - I Do Puzzles Since I Am Three Years Old
Following unfortunate’s elimination after a chaotic Nova Tribal Council, both tribes waited to discover where their journey through space would take them next.
🌙 LUNA
Fiji, Mel, Cray, JTee, LKS3099, KeithNewBern, gay, Glitter, IzziDame, motherbird
⭐ NOVA
Gabs, Poof, itsamodernlife, Maximoff, MissCalculated, PosterBoy, alexanderspms, Joshy, Cristi
With Earth now behind them, the spacecraft approached their second destination:
☿ MERCURY
And Mercury came with a problem. As both ships approached the planet, their voting systems began malfunctioning under the effects of Mercury Retrograde.
At the next Tribal Council, every member of the losing tribe would be required to cast TWO votes for TWO DIFFERENT PLAYERS.
Both votes would count. One planet. Two votes each. And potentially one absolute clusterfuck of a Tribal Council.
First, however, somebody had to lose Immunity.
🚀 IMMUNITY CHALLENGE #3 - THE SPACE FILES
This round’s challenge was entirely about teamwork.
Each tribe had to coordinate a time when at least three members could compete together before working through three mystery tasks, revealed one at a time.
Luna wasted absolutely no time getting started. With almost the entire tribe available except LKS3099, IzziDame and motherbird, they decided motherbird would officially sit out and began the challenge together on call.
Unfortunately... that was where the organization ended.
🌙 LUNA
The first task was Space Timeline, where the tribe had to identify eleven major moments in space exploration and arrange them chronologically.
Every incorrect submission added two minutes to their final time.
And Luna started collecting penalties. Some players clearly had a stronger grasp on the timeline than others, with KeithNewbern identifying several of the events almost immediately. Others leaned on the internet to help piece the chronology together, while Glitter put her stan culture knowledge to work and somehow identified Katy Perry right away.
Even with flashes of individual knowledge, though, the overall communication was still messy, commands were submitted incorrectly, and JTee eventually offered to take on more of a leadership role to try to keep everyone organized.
Meanwhile, gay and KeithNewbern began arguing over the incorrect submissions as the penalties continued stacking up. The tribe openly acknowledged that they were struggling to work as one unit, and Task 1 became considerably more painful than expected.
Eventually, after ten penalties they escaped.
Task 2 was Star Count, where they had to count red, white and blue stars before solving:
Red × White − Blue
Thankfully, there was no penalty for incorrect guesses here, allowing them to spam answers until they found the correct command. Then came the final stage:
PYCTIO PUZZLE. Three separate players had to independently complete the puzzle and submit screenshots proving they had finished.
JTee, KeithNewbern and Glitter successfully completed the three required puzzles.
Luna finally stopped the clock.
Raw Time - 59:18
Timeline Penalties - +10 minutes
FINAL TIME: 69:18
The challenge may have been over… but Luna’s problems were not.
Shortly after the challenge finished, LKS3099 returned from a galactic nap and discovered that his tribe had already competed without him.
He was not thrilled. He argued that the tribe could have waited longer before making the decision, especially considering the challenge window had barely opened. More importantly, he worried that the three players who had not participated could now become convenient targets if Luna lost. And then came the real tragedy. The final task had been a puzzle.
Lucas loves puzzles. A lot.
“I freaking love puzzles. Puzzles, it’s with me. I love freaking puzzles. I do puzzles since I am three years old.”
He was, understandably, “kind of pissed.”
Fiji explained that Luna had gone when the largest number of players were available and that waiting another hour could have meant losing several people who needed to leave.
Glitter and gay both acknowledged that the decision could have been handled more collaboratively, with Austin admitting he had been more focused on completing the challenge quickly than waiting for everybody’s opinion.
LKS3099 eventually accepted the reasoning, but still felt the decision had been somewhat selfish and not particularly team-oriented.
Hopefully Luna could simply win and never have to discuss it again.
Unfortunately for them… Nova had other plans.
⭐ NOVA
Nova were slightly stunned to discover Luna had already completed the entire challenge, but rather than rushing immediately, they spent the next few hours finding a time that worked for as many people as possible.
Josh and Cristi were ultimately unavailable, while the remaining members gathered to compete.
There was no designated leader. There was no shouting match. There was no collection of timeline penalties.
Nova simply communicated, with Poof and PosterBoy speaking up and taking the leadership role, they stayed composed and flew through the tasks with no issues.
itsamodernlife, alexanderspms and PosterBoy completed the three required Pyctio puzzles.
Then Nova stopped the clock.
Raw Time - 37:02
Timeline Penalties - 0
FINAL TIME: 37:02.
It wasn't close.
⭐ NOVA WON IMMUNITY!
After two consecutive Tribal Councils, Nova finally earned themselves a much-needed day off, and were extremely relieved to avoid testing the Mercury Retrograde twist themselves.
Gabs kept morale high and even shared a picture of Nova enjoying their first peaceful round together.
Luna, however... was about to cast twenty votes.
Before Tribal, there had been discussion that LKS3099, IzziDame and motherbird should not automatically be punished for missing the challenge, considering they had never really been given the opportunity to participate.
Once the votes began appearing, however... it became immediately clear that nobody was actually safe.
Names started appearing everywhere.
Fiji.
LKS3099.
Cray.
KeithNewbern.
IzziDame.
motherbird.
At one point, Lucas joked that obviously they had not targeted the people who missed the challenge. while simultaneously receiving votes himself. Michael was also catching votes despite missing the challenge, quickly proving that whatever informal protection had been discussed beforehand was not holding together.
And as the parchments continued piling up, eventually, one name finally pulled ahead.
Cray.
Cray.
Cray.
And then...
Cray again.
CRAY WAS VOTED OUT.
The final Mercury Retrograde vote was an absolutely ridiculous:
7–4–4–2–2–1.
Cray received seven votes, while two other players received four apiece, two received two apiece, and another received one. The Space Cowboy had officially been launched into the cosmos. Before leaving, Cray delivered one final warning.
He claimed that a group held pre existing friendships and warned the remaining castaways to watch them carefully.
And with that…
THE SPACE COWBOY WAS GONE.
Cray, thank you for bringing your energy to the season. Your stay may have been shorter than you wanted, but you certainly did not leave quietly, and we hope you enjoyed your time!
18 CASTAWAYS REMAIN.
Mercury Retrograde turned Luna’s Tribal into complete chaos.
Nova finally escaped Tribal Council. Luna’s cracks are becoming increasingly visible.
Where will the crews land next?
