For the first time in my life

I had a novel completely wreck me. I’m an avid reader and I always have been. I’ve read thousands of books in my lifetime. So, when I bought and started reading The Institute by Stephen King, I didn’t expect it to impact me like it did. The subject matter is relatively normal for his books and that wasn’t what got to me. But he wrote one character so good that I literally became attached and invested in this character’s story. It wasn’t even the main protagonist. I’ve never in my life had a book make me cry like a baby until I read this one. I just found out there is a limited series based on the book on Prime, and now I’m super excited to watch and relive one of the best books I’ve ever read. I know that no movie or show can ever do the source matter complete justice, but I hope watching it doesn’t ruin my thoughts on how the story played out in my mind.
