Proposed Boutique Alternative: The Thrift Shop

Totally understand what you're saying from a business perspective, especially since this is your job. I think it becomes especially hard when pretty much anyone can open their own boutique and sell things out of their inventory for low prices. It does take away from a lot of different aspects on this site. What I think a happy medium could be is a shop during each shop period called "The Thrift Shop". People can submit designs to The Thrift Shop during the shop cycle of designs that they don't want. Like most shops, 30 items get selected from those submitted (those 30 items would equate to 3 fully stocked boutiques). These designs could be priced at 550-600 koinz, so lower than what most people offer when they run a shop but still a rather reasonable price. That way, there is a way for us to get rid of some of our unwanted designs while also not taking away too much from the website itself. This idea popped into my head as I read your blog and I wanted to offer an alternative that may resolve your problem and ours. I understand if this idea has its own issues. Regardless, I'd love for some sort of boutiques/auctions to be reworked and added back to the site. Sin
