Potentially controversial take

Guitar needs a revamp. I UNDERSTAND guitar fills a niche as a minigame with a skill/score ceiling and it’s important in that sense however you cannot deny to me it is universally a SLOG to play through. The song gets repetitive (no fault here and there is deadass no way to avoid this besides a mute button) and the comp is FUN but it feels like it goes on forever BECAUSE you know you can’t do any better than what you have right now Is it crazy to say I think it could work as a stacker-esque guitsr hero (the video game) inspired mechanic where it’s infinite and you have a “health bar” that goes down as you miss notes? Would it just go on forever longer? Thoughts
