Game Idea: ZOMBIES

goldelli 1 hour ago13 views

Trust No One. Outrun Everyone. Survive the Apocalypse. Players: 16 players, loser of the first game becomes a Zombie. Length: 2 days There is only enough food, shelter, medicine, and space in the final safe zone for one winner. The contestants must survive difficult challenges, search for supplies, form alliances, betray one another, and avoid the zombies roaming the game zone. But there's a catch: The contestants aren't just fighting the zombies. They're fighting each other. Every hour, players will be placed in danger. Some will be eliminated through strategy and voting, while others can be eliminated during dangerous missions. The ultimate goal is to reach The Safe Zone at the end of the game. Only one contestant gets out. How Do You Win? To win Zombies, you must be the last surviving contestant. Players need to balance three things: Strategy — Make alliances, manipulate votes, and decide who goes home. Physical ability — Win challenges and obtain valuable resources. Social game — Convince everyone that keeping you around is better than eliminating you. The final three contestants enter The Final Run, an enormous multi-stage challenge through the zombie-infested game zone. The first player to reach the Safe Zone wins. The Zombies The zombies are the eliminated players. But unlike a normal game, players don't know exactly where the zombies will appear. There are several types. Walkers Slow-moving zombies that roam the game. They're relatively easy to avoid—but they're everywhere. Runners Fast zombies introduced later in the game. They're extremely dangerous during challenges because they can chase players. Stalkers Zombies who remain hidden until players get close. They're particularly useful for creating jump scares and forcing players to constantly watch their surroundings. The Horde A massive group of zombies released during major events. When contestants hear the Horde Siren, they have 15 minutes to reach a designated safe area. Anyone caught outside when the doors close is in serious trouble. The Infection System This is where the game gets interesting. Every player begins with three lives, represented by three red infection markers. Getting tagged by a zombie costs one life. (Losing a challenge to a zombie) Lose all three and you're Infected. But being infected doesn't immediately eliminate you. Instead, you enter the Quarantine Zone. This creates a huge strategic dilemma. An infected player can still compete—but everyone knows they're one mistake away from being eliminated. The Infection Vote Once someone enters quarantine, the remaining players have a choice. They can: SAVE THEM or ABANDON THEM. If the majority votes to abandon the infected player, they're eliminated and become a zombie. If the majority votes to save them, the player receives a Treatment Challenge. Win it, and they return to the game with one life. Lose it, and they're eliminated. This means an alliance might intentionally keep an infected player around because they're useful strategically. The Base The contestants live together in The Compound. It's their equivalent of the Big Brother house. The Compound has: Bedrooms Kitchen Medical room Armory Confessional room Supply warehouse Challenge board A secured outdoor area But there is no guaranteed safety. Every few hours, the power can fail. When the lights go out... the zombies get inside. The Blackout At unpredictable times, Kovaze announces: "BLACKOUT." The Compound loses power. Contestants have 15 minutes to find flashlights and secure the building. Then the zombies are released into the Compound. Players must work together to keep the zombies out. But there's a catch: Only certain rooms are safe. Players have to decide who gets access to those rooms. This can create some brutal strategic moments. Weekly Structure A typical week could look like this: Hour 1 — Supply Run Contestants compete in a challenge to collect food, weapons, medicine, batteries and other resources. The winner gets The Survivor's Advantage. Hour 2 — The Scavenge Players enter the zombie-infested town individually or in pairs to search for supplies. Some supplies are real. Some are traps. Some contain clues to hidden advantages. Hour 3 — The Council The contestants secretly vote for someone to be placed On the Run. The person receiving the most votes becomes the target. Hour 4 — The Chase The targeted player must compete in a challenge against two other contestants. If they win, they survive. If they lose... they're eliminated and become the first zombie. Hour 5 — Safe House Everyone competes for immunity. The winner becomes The Survivor and cannot be eliminated that week. Hour 6 — Zombie Night The remaining players enter a massive nighttime challenge. Someone will inevitably lose. Hour 7 — Evacuation The eliminated player gets one final chance to escape. If they fail, Kovaze announces: "You are no longer among the living." And they're gone. How Do You Eliminate Other Players? There are several ways. 1. The Vote Players secretly vote for someone to be targeted. This is the primary social-strategy mechanism. You don't necessarily eliminate the strongest player. You eliminate the player who has the most dangerous combination of: strength + intelligence + alliances. 2. The Chase The nominated player enters a challenge. The winner survives. The loser is eliminated and becomes a zombie. This means voting someone out doesn't guarantee they'll actually leave. You still have to beat them. 3. Zombie Elimination During certain challenges, contestants can lose a life. If they lose their final life, they're eliminated and become a zombie. This gives players an incentive to sabotage opponents during challenges—but sabotage has consequences. 4. The Horde Occasionally, a challenge becomes an emergency. The Horde is released. Contestants must reach safety. The last person to reach the Safe Zone is eliminated. Immunity Every day has an opportunity to win immunity. The immunity winner receives a Safe Haven Bracelet. While wearing it, they cannot be targeted during that elimination cycle. But there's a catch: You can only use it once. So contestants have to decide whether to protect themselves early or save it for the end. Supplies Supplies function as the game's currency. Players can discover: Food Medicine Batteries Flashlights Maps Keys Radios Protective gear Antidotes Experimental treatments Supplies can be traded between players. That creates an entirely different form of strategy. For example: "I'll give you two batteries if you vote with my alliance." Or: "You want medicine? Then tell me who you're voting for." Weapons Weapons aren't used to kill players. Instead, they're defensive tools against zombies. A contestant might find a limited-use stun device, barricade tool, flare, or other prop. The important thing is that supplies are scarce. You can't simply fight your way through the apocalypse. Sometimes... running is the better strategy. The Alliances This is where the Big Brother element comes in. Contestants can form alliances. For example: The Survivors The physical competitors. Their goal is to dominate challenges. The Scientists The puzzle/intelligence players. They specialize in solving clues and finding hidden supplies. The Scavengers Players who specialize in exploring the game zone. They tend to find the most advantages. The Family A tight social alliance that appears weak but controls the votes. The best players will likely belong to multiple alliances simultaneously. The Leader Each week, one contestant can become The Commander. The Commander earns major advantages—but becomes a massive target. They get: Immunity First choice of supplies Power to assign teams Information about the next challenge But everyone else knows exactly who has the power. Being powerful can therefore be dangerous. The Watchtower Once per day, the Commander gets access to the Watchtower. From there, they can watch surveillance footage of different areas of the game zone. They might discover: Secret alliances Hidden supplies Players betraying each other Secret advantages Someone stealing resources But they can only watch one location. So what they choose to investigate becomes part of their strategy. The Evacuation At around the halfway point, the game changes. Kovaze announces: "THE COMPOUND IS NO LONGER SAFE." The contestants have 30 minutes to evacuate. They have to choose what supplies they can carry. But they cannot take everything. This forces contestants to decide what's important. Food? Medicine? Weapons? Maps? Or an alliance member? The players then move to a new location. The second half of the game becomes significantly harder. The Apocalypse Phase When only 8 contestants remain, the rules change. There are no more normal days. The game becomes increasingly dangerous. More zombies. Less food. Fewer safe zones. Harder challenges. Smaller teams. More frequent eliminations. The players are told: "Civilization is gone. From this point forward, there is nowhere to hide." The Double Elimination At six players remaining, the game introduces the Double Horde. Two contestants will be eliminated in one day. Players must navigate a huge zombie-infested course while simultaneously solving puzzles. The first four players to reach the extraction point are safe. The final two face each other. One is eliminated. The Final Four At four players, alliances no longer matter. Everyone is on their own. Each contestant receives: One backpack. One map. One bottle of water. One life. That's it. They enter the final section of the game zone. The Final Run The final challenge takes place over an entire day. Contestants must travel through: The abandoned hospital The subway tunnels The ruined downtown The forest The military checkpoint The quarantine facility The Safe Zone Along the way are physical obstacles, puzzles, hidden shortcuts and zombie encounters. Some contestants may choose the fast route. Others can choose the long route, which contains additional supplies. That's the final strategic decision: Risk everything for speed—or sacrifice time for safety? The Final Two The last two contestants arrive at the quarantine facility. They discover that the Safe Zone requires two access codes. Each contestant possesses half of the information needed to open the door. So they have to cooperate. But once the door opens... only one person can enter. The final challenge is a race. The first contestant through the Safe Zone doors wins. The losing contestant is left outside as the doors close. Kovaze says: "The world ended. You didn't." Fade to black. The Biggest Strategic Twist The best part of Zombies would be that being the strongest contestant isn't necessarily the best strategy. Imagine someone named Jake. Jake wins five challenges in a row. Everyone knows he's physically dominant. He has a huge target on his back. Then there's Emily. Emily has never won a challenge. She's friendly with everyone. She knows everyone's secrets. She's secretly controlling every vote. Jake is trying to survive the zombies. Emily is trying to survive Jake. That's the central question of the show: Would you rather be the strongest survivor—or the person controlling the survivors? And ultimately, the winner should be the contestant who can do both. The show's tagline ZOMBIES The dead are coming. Your friends are worse. Survive the apocalypse. Outsmart everyone. Be the last one alive.

Yes, the idea was enhanced with AI. No, I am not proud of it. But I had the idea and struggled with figuring out the gameplay. TLDR; Kill zombies and survive.
