But how far back can we trace the concept of "you need to vote with the house or you'll show your cards/be a target" on Big Brother? The earliest example we could come up with is Eric being targeted in BB8 for throwing hinky votes due to being America's player during the week 3/4 evictions. That said I don't think this really becomes a permanent "thing" until like BB19 or so, when Paul has such a stranglehold on the house that he is looking for literally any excuse to ostracize someone.

I believe the first time we start to see literally every single vote basically be unanimous is BB16. Basically if the first vote is unanimous that looks weird, the first one should not be unanimous by any means. So, when that happened is basically a wrap for anyone trying to vote for themselves, and I do think production has tried to address it, but I kinda think it's too late for them to stop saying "by a vote of _ to _" at this point.
