Far be it from me to be racist, I am one of the strongest defenders of the anti-racist cause. Especially as we were born in Salvador—a city shaped by the strength, culture, and history of Black people—we reaffirm our commitment to fighting racism. We live in a land where African heritage is present in our music, religion, cuisine, art, and the very identity of our people.
