Lost Island - Episode 7: Treasure Hunters

Previously on Lost Island: After the Main Event and discovering she could be eliminated, Bubba decided to spend her potential final moments on the island pestering Joneduardo. In the house vote, the contestants decided to send Bigbryy and Rainolds to the public vote to compete for RPs. The Duel arrived, and the maze proved brutal for Tex, who had to leave the competition. DAY 7 As they head back to camp, Bubba congratulates Jordan on winning her second Duel. She says she hopes the young man won't have to go through that again anytime soon. He thanks her and says he hopes she can stay clear of it for a while too, adding that Nettles will be happy to see her return. *Jordan’s Confessional: “Bubba was really nice to me on the walk back to camp. Even though people think she’s a shrew, I feel like she might be a good person deep down... really deep down.” *Bubba’s Confessional: “I urgently need to step up my social game; I can’t keep relying on surviving Duels just to earn some RPs.” When Jordan and Bubba arrive at the camp, Char is the first to want to know everything about the Duel they faced. Cyber ​​grumbles that he wishes Tex had returned instead, and only Kimmie hears this. Jordan then explains everything to the others, while Bubba sits down and starts chatting with Dawn. The afternoon passes quietly, with Jordan, Nettles, and Char talking by the lake. When the time comes for the Main Event, jeeps arrive at the camp and the participants take their seats; but instead of heading to the ruins, they are driven to the beach. Today’s challenge is ‘Relic Hunters.’ Scattered all along the coast—on the beach, in the forest, and even in the sea—are small chests. Some are in plain sight, as you can already see, while others are more hidden; they might be buried, submerged, or even up in the trees. Each chest holds a specific point value, which can be positive or negative. You will have 30 minutes to explore and find chests. At the end of that time, all the chests you’ve found will be opened, and the points will be tallied and either added to or subtracted from your RPs. Good luck, everyone!” The challenge begins. Bubba doesn't want to waste time and decides to take a chance on the chests that are in plain sight; she collects two and brings them back to her deck. Lewis also decides to go for the visible chests, reasoning that it’s unlikely *all* of them contain negative points; he grabs four and brings them to his deck. Char isn't interested in the easy options; he runs straight into the sea as soon as the challenge starts. He figures that the harder a chest is to find, the more points it must be worth. He finds two chests submerged in the shallows. *Char’s Confessional:* “If I had to dive to find these chests, they ought to give me a good amount of RPs.” Gabs decides to search the forest. She collects 5 chests before returning to her deck—some near tree roots, others a bit higher up on branches. Dawn’s strategy is digging; she noticed some patches of sand looked disturbed and decided to search there. She wasn't successful every time, but she did manage to find a few chests. As time passed, everyone adopted their own strategy. Sometimes they even switched strategies and tried searching in different areas.
