Lost Island - Episode 4: The End of the Reign

dougribeiro 3 hours ago23 views

Previously on Lost Island: The participants were surprised that there was no elimination, and new plans began to emerge. A game of Truth or Dare may have planted some doubts among certain players. In the Main Event, the participants had to memorize symbols on an altar; Char performed the best and won the event. Jordan, Gabs, and Kallie’s poor performance put them at risk. DAY 4 On the way back to camp, Bubba decided it was time to get to work. She approached Dawn and said they needed to make sure Joneduardo didn't make it to the public vote, so they would have to work on that with the rest of the camp that afternoon. Dawn agreed. *Dawn’s Confessional: “Bubba has a hot-headed way of acting, but it’s not like she’s wrong. Joneduardo already has a huge advantage in RPs.” On the way to the mansion, Joneduardo thanked Char for the opportunity, congratulated him on the challenge, and began trying to convince Kimmie and Lewis that they should vote for each other tonight—helping one another reach the public vote so they could earn RPs. *Lewis’s Confessional:* “Joneduardo already holds a lot of power in here, but I can’t deny he’s kind of right. I saw how people felt about the group that came to the mansion in the previous round. Let’s face it: we aren’t exactly their favorites right now, so... I need help from somewhere, you know?” Back at camp, away from all the plotting and strategizing, Jordan and Nettles decided to explore the island a bit. They weren't sure how much wandering the production team would allow, so they decided to make the most of it before anyone told them otherwise. At one point, Nettles stepped on something hard; when he bent down to check, he found a large, old key. He didn't know if it was just something lost on the island or if it might be related to the game, but he decided to keep it anyway—and he and Jordan agreed to keep it a secret. *Nettles’ Confessional:* “We’re going to keep this key a secret; even though we don’t know if it’s actually important, it’s better not to make a fuss. And if Jordan happens to leave tomorrow, well... I’ll be the only one who knows this secret.” Back at the camp, without even discussing it beforehand, Kallie shared Bubba’s view regarding Joneduardo. She didn't think it was fair that she was facing her second consecutive Duel while he sat comfortably at the top of the leaderboard, enjoying the luxuries of the mansion for two rounds in a row. She would have to find a way to eliminate Gabs in tomorrow's Duel; that would be one way to weaken her opponent right off the bat. After a long afternoon of gameplay maneuvers, night fell, bringing the time for the vote. The camp participants were taken to the mansion. “Good evening, competitors! Welcome to another vote. I believe you’re already familiar with the rules: You must vote for three participants; the two who receive the most votes will join Char, Rainolds, and the two survivors of the Duel. Obviously, Char, Rainolds, and the participants in this round's Duel—Gabs, Jordan, and Kallie—cannot be voted for.” Bigbryy → Kimmie, Nettles, and Bubba. Bubba → Bigbryy, Dawn, and Nettles. Char → Joneduardo, Lewis, and Kimmie. Cyber → Tex, Joneduardo, and Bigbryy. Dawn → Lewis, Tex, and Nettles. Gabs → Kimmie, Bigbryy, and Nettles. Joneduardo → Lewis, Cyber, and Bigbryy. Jordan → Joneduardo, Tex, and Dawn. Kallie → Lewis, Nettles, and Cyber. Kimmie → Bigbryy, Lewis, and Cyber. Lewis → Dawn, Joneduardo, and Tex. Nettles → Bigbryy, Dawn, and Bubba. Rainolds → Cyber, Nettles, and Bubba. Tex → Cyber, Dawn, and Lewis. “With a three-way tie at six votes between Bigbryy, Lewis, and Nettles, and applying the tie-breaking criterion—the overall ranking—Lewis and Nettles will face the public vote this round.” Even though he didn't secure a spot in the vote, Bubba is happy to have ensured that Joneduardo doesn't have that advantage either. *Bubba’s Confessional: “Now I just have to crush his RPs in the Main Event, and—bye-bye, Mr. Perfect.” After the other participants return to the campsite, Joneduardo emphasizes to the players in the mansion that he was right about what he said earlier that morning: the campers will always band together against whoever is in the mansion, and Lewis only secured the votes because the three mansion residents voted for him. The night at the campsite is very peaceful. Some participants even decide to light a campfire and gather around it to share stories. That is how Jordan, Nettles, Cyber, Gabs, Rainolds, and Tex spend much of the evening. DAY 5: Things aren't quite as friendly the next morning. Right at breakfast, Gabs and Bubba clash after Bubba claims Gabs is taking more scrambled eggs than everyone else. Gabs asks if Bubba is the "plate police," and after Bubba insists that her behavior is rude, she abandons her plate and leaves the dining area without eating. Minutes later, an alarm sounds, and Gabs, Jordan, and Kallie are taken to the ruins. “Good morning, competitors! Welcome to our Duel. Today we will find out who our first eliminated player is—and it will be one of the three of you. Today’s challenge is ‘BAMBOO CROSSING.’ It’s a simple task: you must cross this beam made of a single bamboo pole; if you fall, you have to start over from the beginning. The last person to successfully cross will be eliminated from the game. If, after one hour, two or more people haven't managed to cross the beam, the person who reached the furthest point will be evaluated. Good luck to the three of you!” Right at the start of the challenge, Jordan’s plan is to immediately reach the furthest point possible to give himself a safety margin. He sets off running along the bamboo beam, but halfway across, he takes a nasty fall and suffers some scrapes. The production team asks if he is fit to continue, and he insists that he is. Gabs tries to improvise, placing one foot after the other and struggling to balance; she manages only a few steps on the beam. Kallie’s strategy relies on lightness. As an artist and former ballet dancer, she knows that staying calm and light will help her stay on the beam. Time ticks by, and the participants face repeated setbacks. After nearly 40 minutes—despite the pain and scrapes—Jordan becomes the first to reach the far end of the bamboo beam, securing his place in the game. Gabs and Kallie continue their attempts. Kallie falls the least often, maintaining the graceful lightness of an artist throughout, whereas Gabs’s approach is more awkward. At the one-hour mark, neither woman has reached the end of the beam. The production team must then analyze who made it the furthest. Although Kallie fell less and moved with grace, she didn't make much headway; at no point did she even reach the halfway mark, whereas Gabs managed to cover about 70% of the beam’s length at one point. Consequently, Kallie becomes the first contestant eliminated from the competition. “Thank you so much for participating, Kallie. It was an honor to have someone as splendid as you in our competition. We wish you success in life, and who knows—perhaps we’ll meet again someday. As for Gabs and Jordan, you will return to camp and join Char, Rainolds, Lewis, and Nettles in the public vote for RPs.” Kallie says goodbye to her fellow contestants and wishes them success in the game. Thanks the production team for the opportunity and leaves the island. *End of the fourth episode* Now is your moment to decide who should earn RPs.
