Need advice 🥺❤️🙏
This is a bit of a vulnerable post but I need ya’lls advice. I have been considering moving away from the town I’ve lived in for the last 16 years. I am thinking of maybe moving somewhere for 6 months just to test out the waters and see.
It’s just too difficult to meet people here and I’m wondering for those of you who have moved away from your friends and family, did your life improve? If you aren’t comfortable to share please PM me, I am open to hearing any and all experiences 🙏
Thank you ❤️

I’m moving this September for 3 months for work and I’m really excited All my colleagues always said it’s gonna be really good
Davit oh wow I love this! This is what I want to do as well, I would love to hear how you like it :) I am rooting for you!!
When I was looking for my first job out of school, I drew a 2 hour radius from my hometown and looked in cities that fell near the edge of that radius. 2 hours felt for enough but close enough. I ended up moving in November and it was a very difficult time of year to make friends, but in time it did work out! When I mentor, I always push the idea that everyone should travel alone at least once in their life because you learn so much about yourself when your solely dependent on yourself. I think if you found a temporary job somewhere or some other reason to trial something it would be a great first step, but also remember besides logistics and costs, there is nothing that says you are stuck in the first place you choose. Reach out on here or discord (muse0756) if you want to chat more!
Nora thank you so much for sharing I really appreciate it :) I’ll add you on discord <3
I moved to Australia for 3 years and it was the hardest, yet best experience of my life. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to "have a change". Just do your research, work out exactly what you're going to said place for and see if it's right for you. It was VERY difficult, I was only 18 but if you ever want to talk about it feel free to DM me <3
Connor thank you so much Connor I will definitely purely reach out 🥰🫶🏼❤️
I know it's not the same situation, but I spent five months in Greece studying last year. It was the best time of my life.
KaliMinaj I appreciate you sharing! Any info is better than none so thank you for sharing your experience ❤️
I would always support anyone doing this! It's a great way for you to go outside your comfort zone and find yourself. I moved away for college and have never regretted it! I could meet people for the first time and make new friends / relationships with no prior judgement or knowledge of me from growing up together. It was a great, fresh start!
unfortunate thank you for sharing your perspective Nathan I appreciate you so much 🥹🫶🏼❤️

my life changed forever since i moved 9 years ago
BRAT I love this for you :) Thank you for sharing angel ❤️
I moved far enough that I can start my own life but close enough to get back if I had to. Best decision I made! It was right around everything opening up from COVID and with some life changes happening I took the plunge. I embraced a new beginning instead of leaving behind my issues. If you're feeling like doing it, I think you should, but make sure you're not actually running from something either. There's a bunch of ways to make friends, and depending on where you go, there are a lot of people in the same boat as you! DMs open if you wanna chat more <3
theworldofjj thank you for this, appreciate you <3
I moved away and met my husband! At that point I had nothing tying me down to where I was living so I took a chance. Worst case scenario I experienced living in a new place!
VenusVafa thank you my love I appreciate you sharing your experience. I also love this for you, so inspiring 🥹❤️
I moved away, and it was partly to get away from my family. You should at least try it, the worst case scenario is you hate it and you can move back. Do a month to month or 3-6 month lease. On my end, it worked out and i dont plan on moving back
Nightman thank you so much for sharing your experience I really appreciate it 🫶🏼
