To see one of ur best friends turn into an alcoholic and drink by themselves everyday all day and always deny they’re addicted and reject any help you try to give them

I can relate all too well sadly It’s really sad to see someone lose themselves, and it’s hard to find a balance between being a supportive friend and enabling self destructive behavior :(
They have to want to do it themselves. Just be there in support when they do (hopefully) decide it's time to look at other options. Addiction is sad.
Zachbbs yeh it’s rough, esp with this friend I really encouraged him to quit nic and he actually did just to turn to alcohol a month later so ig it’s kinda my fault
