That is what groomers do- they are nice, kind, and sweet deliberately to manipulate their victims and those around them. It sucks and what makes them so pervasive and predatory. I hope you are able to navigate these revelations with grace and don't beat yourself up too much for associating with him, as that is what he was known for and he has fooled a LOT of people over the years.
