Also, another idea I had just to tag onto my last post. What if these items we're getting from the shop you had to use them in specific rounds you felt they were necessary? Instead of being a permanent bonus for the whole game you could use an item and it would utilize it for that specific round and then you wouldn't have the item anymore. Not saying I hate the current format, but just a suggestion or idea.
NaughtyNacho I was thinking of that while I was designing it, the only problem is it would make them a little too similar to transportation. The idea is that items are long-term passives that synergise with your strategy, and transportation is short term but stronger bonuses for when you feel in trouble.

Powerups - should be limited to 1 per game, not 3. I feel like it was really hard to predict what was happening and how to strategize for spending cause it was really up in the air. I think 1 powerup in the start with a 10$ reroll would be better.
Some of the powerups need nerfing but in general i thought they were really cool.
I think it’d be good to be able to see what your partner picks.
Christos honestly... thinking about it, i wouldn't be mad just having 1 item and then the item shop re-opens and you can then swap your item for another item, perhaps the rerolls would come in better this way idk? as you'd have to navigate what item works best at each point of the game.
i think it is going to take a few games to balance it and work out what works and what doesnt.
Christos I agree that there should still be some predictability. Item selections will likely be public. I would be more inclined to nerfing the items but keeping 3 selections, than keeping them OP but allowing only 1. The ability to mix/match will keep every game feeling different and allow for you to slightly pivot strategies over time if the current one isn't working for you

Players can select which format they want upon joining at the start just like in Arena
Format #1: Ticket + U-turn round
Format #2: Power-up race + Double elim round
(this won’t have a ticket at the start)
both can have the qualifier feature to keep it standard 22 players
too many double eliminations, limit to one per game.
$12 is too much for a reroll, especially starting on $20, no one is ever going to reroll really. i think the dice powerup to reduce the cost is just pretty useless. no one's really going to take that when they need to survive based on scores early on.
the joyride is definitely OP, i didn't have to worry about money and could train since the final 7.
i think 2 items max, potentially a third extremely late in the game... but idk... they seem so OP at the moment that i'm not sure a 3rd is even necessary.
i think due to the random element, i think the OP items like joyride should only be available as like the second power up, never the first? like the later the game gets, the more stronger the items get?
is the ticket for the highest scoring team necessary anymore? is it too OP with double eliminations? we'd have to see a bit more i think.
as the belows have said, maybe an extra minute for power up rounds so you have time to discuss w your partner

NaughtyNacho hmm i'm not sure it should even be a thing with double eliminations.. if the double elimination happens at final 6, they jump straight to final 4, get to save all their money and probably win the game... and also could get a third item at final 4 to give them even more of an advantage, with their saved money.
1. We should be able to see somewhere the full list of items so we can try to plan our transport accordingly. I feel lost not knowing what could possibly be in the game, and I'm sure as I play more I'll get the hang of it but for a new player it should be easily accessible.
2. The combination of helicopter + the 30% cost reduction is a little overpowered since I just bought a helicopter in f2 for $49
3. I think the power up picking round we should get an additional minute to do the comp + buy the power up. I found myself very rushed and couldn't even communicate with my partner what we should do.
4. Be able to see what power ups our partner has & be able to hover over our own power up to see the description of what our current power ups do.
5. Qualifiers is a great idea, but maybe keep it at 20 people for the cast as it's already hard enough to fill a 20 player game let alone a 22 person game.
Overall, I really like the idea but I don't know the items well enough to really critique them except for the ones I had in the current game.
i love the qualifiers!! its a good idea. i also rlly enjoyed the race overall, the items are such a cute bonus:) i do think however that some might need to be reduced? like 20% instead of 30% for the transport and maybe 10 or 5% for your partners score! i also think maybe in rounds where items spawn, give an extra minute so you can strategize with your partner about what to take and i feel like there should be a maximum of 1 or 2 double elims

power ups are a good twist! I could see lots of strategy evolving as partners decide what's most optimal for that team
I do think the helicopter / discount powerup together could get OP howeverrrr it's the luck of the roll! Fun

- GIVE MORE TIME FOR POWERUP SELECTION ROUNDS PLEASE! We should be able to discuss with partners.

Overall, a good update that will shift the race meta alot because its no longer "classic." It def needs some tweaks but yea!
