The blood of the werewolf

Did Tide kill the werewolf with a silver bullet? The werewolf was inside him all along, so he had to kill the werewolf part of himself to be fully human again. The silver bullet didn't harm the human half when he shot himself with it, only the werewolf half. Now he is free from his curse and the vultures no longer devour the flesh of his victims because there are none any longer. He can wander the night with serenity now that the full moon holds no danger for him.
