nobody asked for this but i’m just journaling atp. if you aren’t aware, im currently self-producing a project! couple days ago i finalized the 10 tracks for my first lil album/mixtape. super exciting stuff, it’s been almost 2 years now and seeing the project starting to come full circle is really rewarding and exciting. i believe lyrics are pretty much polished, i might have one or two songs i’ll fuck around with a little more but it’s time to record and turn these demos into masters! growing up i always dreamed of being a creative (especially a musician). i’m from a village in south louisiana, so our school electives are scarce and i literally only had band in my 5th and 6th grade years, but i instantly fell in love with music theory and expressing myself through sound. i was also a super smart gifted kid, so i had a lot of pressure to focus on something practical like being a doctor or a lawyer or sumn like that. i was just a smart ass kid who wanted to write and sing and go on big brother one day, ain’t nobody said anything abt med school! when i was abt 18 i started fuckin around with a pirated version of fl studio making wack ass beats and having the time of my life. i spent several years learning the craft, writing, recording, and telling myself and others it was just a hobby. i started investing more time, money, and energy into upgrading my software and equipment, taking courses, and studying the music i know and love, as well as other genres i hadn’t previously known. i put in years of writing, recording, embarrassing myself, and creating. i say all that to say this: i’m 26 years old now, and i’m finally secure in the realization that i am in control. i spend 24/7 in this mind; can’t nobody tell me who i am. i’ve known who i was all along, i just fucked around and let other people’s expectations cloud my identity. these past couple years of working on this project have been some of the most formative experiences of my life. most of it stems from me just reconnecting with the shit i loved most as a kid. i’ve never been more in-tune with chazz, and that’s exactly what this music is about. i’m excited to share it, and i hope yall are excited for more updates soon. sorry this is so long but thx if u read it xox

at least once in your life you need to experience mardi gras. personally im not able to celebrate bc i had to work this morning/afternoon, and tonight ill be watching my sister bc my parents are on vacation (fun fact: i have a sister almost 15 years younger than me). it still was lowkey super fun serving a bunch of drunk people coming from parades and shit. vibes were high, i was higher. i wasn’t even mad at traffic on my way home bc it was bc of big ass floats riding in the road with a bunch of drunk people just having a great time, shit gets u reminiscing on all the hazy memories mardi gras has let u keep bc ur almost ALWAYS blacked out early in the day. idk mardi gras is this alternate universe where everything’s just turnt yall need to get
