Arena Updates: - Players can now vote on a gamemode pre-game. The arena gods will select one random person, and their choice will become the gamemode. - New gamemode added: Golden Star 🌟: The winner of each round will be able to save one of the bottom 3 from the arena. Outcasted Updates: - Water hunting increased from 20 water to 45 - Searching for water duration increased from 4 hours to 6 hours - Searching for Food/Idols duration decreased from 1 hour to 20 minutes Let us know what you think!

The feedback for the first test run was already good, but the feedback for this version of the game has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s always a good sign when early boots are saying they feel like the game is perfect, because that rarely ever happens. We’ve heard your feedback and will be applying the final touches to make the game perfect :) Now my question to you is: how would you like enrolment to work? The reaping was fun, but it’s not something we can sustain forever. Enrolment will have to be automated - but would you prefer it to be a weekly game, or enrolling every time the current game finishes? What about the cast size? We want to keep the game feeling special, but we also want it to be accessible. Let us know what your thoughts are! As for Labyrinth: with every comp we add, the first few days are a trial run to gather general thoughts and find all the bugs there are to find. We feel like we have all the feedback we need, so we’ll be disabling it while we work on that. There is also a version of Maze that works exactly like the old version, but allows phone users to tap to move. We might enable this comp for a trial run if it passes internal testing, but this is still up in the air. The next month will be heavily focused on polishing existing features, such as looking into minigame bugs (I’m looking at you, Shapes!) and whatnot. While we will have some new additional features, we’ll also be saying goodbye to Boutiques. The reason for this is explained in the comments of this blog: https://kovaze.com/blog/70033 . Boutique renewal will be disabled sometime this month, with the feature officially removed once the last boutique’s lights go out. P.S… Practice Comps and Auctions are on our radar 🙂

In addition to everything else coming out this month, we want to automate celebrities into a weekly/bi-weekly game. We'll still have the larger Kovaze ORGs (such as the Traitors we had planned for Celebrities 7), but we've decided to call that something else. For now, Celebrities will turn to an automatic game. Hi all, exciting things are happening this week on Kovaze. 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 The Upgrade Shop is now live where you can purchase upgrades for your accounts! More upgrades will be coming in the future. We've heard some of the feedback on the prices of the current upgrades, but we want account upgrades to be a gradual and rewarding process. For now, we want upgrades to remain valuable. 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 A major Outcasted update will go live in 32 hours. The update will apply to all active games but should not be too distruptive to the existing gameplay. For those in an Outcasted, consider this a twist, and use this time to adjust your strategies accordingly. - Idols (and future advantages) will now be hidden inside of a map with 64 locations. - 8 of those locations will be the beach, where you can fish for food for your tribe. - There will be a water well to collect water for your tribe. Water will give you energy to search for idols and hunt for food. - Each game will have its own weather that changes throughout the day. The weather will range from 0 to 44 Celsius (or 32 to 111 Farenheit). - Hotter weather means you will have to drink more water! - When fishing, you are not always guaranteed a catch. The game will only announce successful catches. The game will not announce if you actually went fishing or if you went to search for an idol instead. - A hungry tribe will lose tribe morale, reducing their competition scores. The idea: we want Outcasted to feel like the real show, and that's exactly what we're hoping with this update. You will have to work with your tribe to collect enough food to ensure your tribe stays healthy, but if your tribemates are secretly hunting for idols when they should be fishing, your tribe will inevitably become hungrier and weaker. Other changes (this will not affect existing games): - Game size increased from 16 to 18 to allow for 3-tribe games. The Outcasted Update will be explained in more detail on the day, and we'll be here to answer any questions you may have! (Note: Some of the changes listed here may be tentative). 𝗥𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲 Royale will launch on the 25th of January (in 6 days). As this game is very large, we are doing a *soft* launch so we can assess the game in a low-risk environment. This will mean that we will be limiting the cast size for the first game, selected by a public draw (a reaping? 😱). The game shouldn't take long to finish though, and we'll open it up to the public immediately afterwards. For those not selected, you'll be able to watch the game and place your bets! More on this soon. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝟳 With everything coming out this week, we're pushing sign-ups back by a week or two to not overwhelm everyone. As you may have heard, the theme for this season will be Traitors Inspired. The public will be heavily involved in this season, and will help our cast catch the traitors by banishing one of their sacrificial offerings! 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 The next competition to update will be Lucky Drop. We're aiming to make the game more fun and interactive by adding some pinball style flippers that you can control which will give you a bit of agency in the game. We've also been made aware of the Guitar bug with notes not registering on Mobile, and after some investigation, it seems this is an issue with iPhones preventing you from tapping 5 spots at once, however it seems you can fix it by enabling it on your phone's settings. We'll investigate this more and look into it, and if you have an iPhone feel free to join the investigation! 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 We’ve recently been made aware of new websites launching that attempt to replicate the reality-game concept using AI web building tools. We have not been able to verify the safety and security of these platforms, and ask that you do not mention them on Kovaze. Remember to be diligent when signing up to any website, ensuring the proper practices are implemented to protect you and your data. Kovaze's codebase consists of over 150,000 lines of code, and a fully self-managed virtual server with DDOS protection and Scraper Bot prevention. AI cannot reproduce the level of cyber security required to protect you from the ever evolving threat of hackers. Remember to trust and support real Computer Scientists! Seeing as there has been some miscommunication, we want to clarify how moderation applies to behavior connected to Kovaze. Any behavior that endangers players or threatens the safety of other users has always been within the intent of our moderation rules, including conduct that occurs in Kovaze-related interactions outside of the website itself. To clarify the scope for everyone: **Moderators will NOT take action** on things said among friends, within friend groups, or as mutual banter. For example, if two friends are joking privately and one later submits a screenshot out of context due to frustration over a game outcome, this is out of scope and not a moderation concern. **Moderators WILL take action** when a user adds or contacts another user as a direct result of a Kovaze game, and that interaction results in harassment, hate speech (including slurs, threats, or demeaning language), or targeted abuse. In these cases, the entire premise of the interaction must be clearly Kovaze-related, and there must be a clear conclusion that the platform was used to facilitate harassment or bullying. Unfortunately, some users have been exploiting this gap to berate others in private messages following games. This is not the type of community we are building. For the vast majority of players, this clarification will have no impact beyond helping prevent unwanted and harmful interactions. We understand that moderation can sometimes feel strict, especially in comparison to smaller or more casual communities. However, as we work toward becoming a mainstream platform, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users is a priority. 💐

Hello Kovazia, 2026 brings meaningful changes to Kovaze, including the upcoming release of the most ambitious Reality TV–style format to date. This will bring the advent of a rapidly growing user base to our small community. We are preparing to purchase social media ads in the first half of 2026, which will also welcome a group of users who have not been on the previous sites, or may not even be familiar with ORGs. Soon, you will be considered part of the early-age users that founded Kovaze, subsequent to the soft launch. Being a small community is a strength. It allows us to be able to shape our community in the way we like, and who is allowed into our world. As you may have noticed, there was a recent ban-wave of cheaters. 11 users were banned to signal that the Kovaze Charter, which was established as a community, will be the standard as to who we allow onto this platform. On a more personal note - I am actively reading the bugs and suggestions channels on Discord and I want to apologise for the delay. Lately, there's been an increase in Ko-mergencies, including the cheating scandal that caused me to focus my time on anti-cheat tools for the mods. I'm not here to give excuses though, there's a lot of things I can do better. I acknowledge that the owners of the previous sites are a lot more experienced than I am, but I'm more than dedicated to getting this website polished and ready for a hard launch. The vision is, in 6 months' time, Kovaze will be the talk of the Reality TV community. You will log on to see 600 users online at all times of the day. Games will be constantly filling with people you have never met or seen before. Blogs will be flourishing with new faces and new friends. The growth over just three months has been nothing short of unreal, and we’re only getting started. --- # Looking Ahead to 2026 Kovaze is still very much in open beta, but 2026 is where things really begin to scale. Our goal is to push Kovaze into the mainstream, not just within the ORG space, but across the wider Reality TV community as a whole. We’re currently in discussions with several major LRGs regarding potential partnerships, alongside planned advertising campaigns designed to introduce Kovaze to a broader audience of reality-TV lovers. Hey everyone, we are excited to announce the launch of our first ever custom discord bot! To gain access into our official Discord server, you will need to link your Kovaze account. This can be done by the click of the button in your settings! https://www.kovaze.com/mysettings/discord You can also enable a "Ping" feature. This will ping you on Discord when your games start, so you will never have to miss another Race! :) We're excited by what else we can do with this Discord bot, and hope to integrate some more features in the near future!

We’re rolling out a new Honour System across Kovaze to make moderation more consistent, transparent, and predictable. Instead of bans feeling random or different depending on who is moderating, Honour creates a clear “behaviour score” that determines when (and how long) punishments apply. ### 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿? Every account now has an Honour score ranging from 0 to 25. * 25 Honour is the maximum and the default for new accounts. * Honour reflects your behaviour over time. * When you receive moderation penalties, Honour can be reduced. * With good behaviour, Honour can recover. * If your honour drops past a certain threshhold, you may lose access to some features such as The Daily Spin. You can view your current Honour, history, and checkpoints at **Honour (via Settings → Honour)**. --- ## 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 When a moderator issues a punishment, they will now apply an Honour Points Penalty (0–25) along with a reason. That penalty is deducted from your Honour score and logged in your Honour history. You’ll be able to see: * The date/time of the change * The Honour change (e.g. -5) * Your new total Honour * The reason attached --- ## 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 (𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬) If a penalty causes your Honour to cross into a new threshold, an automatic ban will be applied using the same reason the moderator provided. Bans trigger only when you cross into a threshold you were previously above. Example: dropping from 20 → 17 will **not** ban you, because you were already at/below the 20 checkpoint. **Ban thresholds:** * 20 or lower → 1 day ban * 15 or lower → 3 day ban * 10 or lower → 7 day ban * 5 or lower → 14 day ban * 0 → Permanent ban If a penalty crosses multiple thresholds at once, the system applies the **most severe** newly crossed ban. --- ## 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿) Honour is designed to reward consistent good behaviour over time. * As a rule of thumb: 1 Honour point regenerates every 7 days*without penalties. * Regeneration happens in checkpoint jumps, not one point at a time. Checkpoints: 0 → 5 → 10 → 15 → 20 → 25 Example: * If you’re on 17 Honour, you’re in the 15–20 bracket. * To regenerate from 17 → 20, you need 3 points, so 3 × 7 = 21 days without penalties. * After reaching 20, regenerating from 20 → 25 takes 5 × 7 = 35 more days without penalties. Honour updates once per day, and all regeneration increases are logged in your Honour history the same way penalties are. --- ## 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 This system is here to: * Make punishments consistent * Reduce “in the moment” moderation decisions * Give users a clear understanding of what happens next * Encourage long-term good behaviour without permanent marks for minor issues Honour does not replace the rules - it’s a structured way of enforcing them. --- ## 𝗔 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 Moderation can still issue a permanent ban when needed, or an IP ban for the most serious violations. For the vast majority of cases, Honour will be the standard and transparent path. If you keep things respectful, your Honour will recover naturally over time.
