The Haus Has Eyes Ep 3. Haus Wars

Tajh      ❤ 48    ▲13

Where the fashion gets judged, the feelings get hurt, and nobody is safe from these eyes. TWO HAUSES. SIXTEEN CONTESTANTS. ONE WAR. Well, well, WELL, my beautifully dysfunctional children! Last week, sixteen queens and kings strutted into The Drag Haus serving their best THIS IS ME 2.0 fantasies. Some introduced themselves as future legends, others introduced themselves as future packing assistants, but everybody made an impression. And apparently, the contestants had some opinions of their own. After privately voting for their strongest and weakest competitors, the cast crowned a Haus Favourite and identified a Haus Target. Those two became captains, selected their teams, and were tasked with creating two competing drag collectives. Eight contestants per Haus. Eight individual interpretations. One cohesive creative vision. And because this is The Haus Has Eyes, we’re not simply handing out compliments because somebody figured out how to attach rhinestones to a corset. We’re judging the fashion, the creativity, the execution, the interpretation, and most importantly, whether the look actually deserves the attention it’s demanding. Our two competing collectives? 🌊 HAUS LOST AT SEA, a haunting underwater fantasy of shipwrecks, sirens, forgotten treasures, and creatures lurking beneath the surface. 🌌 HAUS OF GALAXSHE, a celestial collection inspired by the planets, cosmic royalty, and the mysteries of the universe. One Haus took us to the bottom of the ocean. The other launched us into outer space. And baby, some of these contestants should’ve stayed exactly where they landed. Let’s get into it! 🌊 HAUS LOST AT SEA Some treasures deserve to be discovered. Others should’ve stayed buried. First of all, whoever came up with this Haus concept deserves their flowers. Lost at Sea is a strong creative direction because it offers possibilities beyond simply putting eight people in blue gowns. We can explore nautical mythology, shipwrecks, drowned royalty, oceanic monsters, lost sailors, and everything in between. And thankfully, this Haus understood that assignment. For the most part. MOOSE — Tayvie SCORE: 9.4/10 OH, THIS OLD SEA DOG CAME TO PLAY! Moose looks like Poseidon’s estranged uncle who disappeared in 1742 and resurfaced to collect everybody’s debts. The distressed navy fabrics, oversized weathered silhouette, tangled beard, and nautical accessories create an immediately recognizable character. This isn’t just somebody wearing an ocean-inspired costume. This is a fully realized personality with a history, a story, and probably a questionable smell. And I mean that as a compliment! The weathering is particularly impressive. Everything looks appropriately aged, battered, and recovered from the depths. My criticism? The proportions are so overwhelming that some of the smaller design details get swallowed by the costume itself. But make no mistake: Moose delivered one of the strongest conceptual interpretations in this Haus. The character is committed, the storytelling is excellent, and the fashion has actual personality. AISHAH ALI — Morgan SCORE: 8.8/10 Aishah, darling, you look like you raided the treasure chest, seduced the captain, and sank the ship yourself. And I respect that. The gold-and-blue color combination is luxurious, and the incorporation of fishing nets, pearls, shells, and metallic detailing creates a visually rich presentation. However, there’s a difference between incorporating nautical references and allowing those references to dictate every inch of the garment. There’s a LOT happening here. The asymmetrical structure is interesting, but the collection of decorative elements begins competing for attention. My eyes don’t know whether to admire the corset, the shoulder, the netting, or the train. A little restraint could have made this look significantly more sophisticated. Beautiful craftsmanship, but sometimes the best treasure is knowing what to leave in the chest. MUMMY — TommyXx SCORE: 8.9/10 Mummy has emerged from the ocean looking like the bride of a billionaire sea god. The midnight-blue gown is undeniably beautiful. The pearl embellishments are intricate, the sweeping train is dramatic, and the circular headpiece creates a lovely visual reference to the moon and tides. But here’s my issue. Where is the danger? Where is the mystery? Where is the feeling of being LOST AT SEA? This is an exquisite formal gown with nautical detailing, but it doesn’t necessarily transport me into the world of the challenge. It’s glamorous. It’s polished. It’s expensive-looking. It’s also a little predictable. And in a competition where your teammates are delivering ghost pirates and monstrous sea creatures, pretty simply isn’t enough to secure the crown. A beautiful gown, but I wanted a stronger story beneath the surface. PAIRADOX — Jordan SCORE: 9.6/10 STOP THE SHIP! SOMEBODY GET THE CAPTAIN BECAUSE THIS BITCH HAS ARRIVED! Pairadox delivered one of the most ambitious looks of the entire episode. The enormous ship-inspired headpiece is absolutely ridiculous in the BEST possible way. The intricate rigging, sails, anchors, ropes, and maritime details create an unforgettable silhouette. But what truly elevates this presentation is the illusion of two figures emerging from the same elaborate structure. There’s a sense of mystery here. Are we looking at two souls trapped aboard a ghost ship? A haunting maritime legend? A beautiful creature carrying the wreckage of a doomed voyage? THAT is what compelling drag does. It makes you ask questions. My one concern is whether the headpiece overwhelms the actual garment. The ship is spectacular, but the fashion underneath deserves just as much attention. Still, this is undeniably a MOMENT. Pairadox didn’t just interpret Lost at Sea. Pairadox brought the entire shipwreck to the runway. X-FACT HER — x SCORE: 9.5/10 EXCUSE ME?! WHO RELEASED THIS CREATURE FROM THE MARIANA TRENCH?! X-Fact Her has delivered the nightmare I didn’t know I needed. The blood-red tentacles, organic textures, spiked structures, and monstrous detailing create a genuinely unsettling interpretation of the ocean. And thank GOD somebody remembered that the sea isn’t exclusively populated by beautiful mermaids wearing pearl bras. There are things down there that would eat you alive, darling! The creature design is excellent, and the dramatic staff adds to the sense of underwater mythology. My criticism is that the sheer volume of tentacles and textured elements occasionally obscures the body and interrupts the fashion silhouette. But as an exercise in transformation and creative risk-taking? Absolutely successful. This is the kind of fearless, uncomfortable drag that makes a competition interesting. GLITORIS — Glitter SCORE: 9.1/10 Glitoris looks like the queen of an underwater civilization that hasn’t permitted human visitors in approximately 4,000 years. And judging by that face, we’re still not welcome. The cool blue metallic palette is gorgeous, and the scaled construction creates a convincing aquatic appearance. The fin-like shoulder details and crown give the look a commanding silhouette. The makeup is particularly effective. There’s something wonderfully alien about the presentation. My only concern is that the lower half becomes relatively conventional compared with the striking upper body. The gown is beautiful, but I wanted the sculptural creativity to continue throughout the entire silhouette. Nevertheless, this is a strong interpretation with excellent visual consistency. An underwater empress with beauty, authority, and just enough menace. JORDIE — Jordie SCORE: 8.2/10 Jordie, sweetheart, come sit beside Auntie Onyx. We need to talk. First, you’re beautiful. The seashell detailing is delicate, the sandy champagne palette is lovely, and the long flowing hair creates an ethereal beach-goddess appearance. But baby… THIS IS THE DRAG HAUS, NOT A DESTINATION WEDDING IN CANCÚN! Against the extraordinary creativity displayed by your teammates, this interpretation feels painfully safe. The shells, pearls, sheer fabrics, and ocean-inspired embellishments are all familiar elements we’ve seen countless times. Where’s the surprise? Where’s the transformation? Where’s the fashion risk? There’s nothing particularly wrong with the look. And unfortunately, that’s exactly the problem. Pretty is the minimum requirement. Extraordinary is what keeps you in the competition. KORTREE YORK — Kimmie SCORE: 9.3/10 Kortree looks like the keeper of every secret the ocean has ever swallowed. The enormous storm-colored gown is breathtaking, and the layers of gray, charcoal, and muted blue create a beautiful sense of depth. The illuminated lantern is a fantastic storytelling element. It suggests a mysterious figure guiding lost sailors through dangerous waters—or perhaps luring them toward their deaths. Either interpretation works for me! The cascading fabric creates movement, while the darker color palette distinguishes this look from the more traditional blue-and-gold aquatic fantasies. My only criticism is that the oversized skirt dominates the silhouette so completely that the bodice almost disappears. Still, this is atmospheric, theatrical, and beautifully executed. A haunting maritime fantasy with genuine emotional presence. 🌊 THE LOST AT SEA VERDICT This Haus deserves tremendous credit for the variety of its interpretations. We saw ghostly sailors, underwater royalty, nautical glamour, sea monsters, and maritime mythology. The strongest competitors understood that the challenge wasn’t simply to look beautiful. It was to create a world. Pairadox, X-Fact Her, and Moose were particularly successful because they delivered distinct characters and memorable silhouettes. However, several competitors relied on familiar gown construction and ocean-themed embellishments rather than truly pushing their designs into unexpected territory. HAUS AVERAGE: 9.10/10 TOP LOOK: Pairadox — 9.6/10 BOTTOM LOOK: Jordie — 8.2/10 ⸻ 🌌 HAUS OF GALAXSHE The universe is expanding. Apparently, so are these queens’ budgets. BABY! GalaxShe didn’t come to participate. They came to establish an entirely new solar system, appoint themselves its rulers, and charge the rest of us admission. The celestial theme is immediately apparent throughout the collection. Metallic finishes, planetary rings, cosmic structures, sculptural silhouettes, and elaborate accessories connect all eight presentations. The level of visual consistency is impressive. But while I appreciate a cohesive Haus, I must ask one very important question. DID EVERYBODY ORDER THEIR HANDBAGS FROM PLANETS-R-US?! Because by the fourth celestial purse, I was ready to call customer service. Nevertheless, there’s some serious fashion happening here. FAYE CHANCEY ROE — GuiltyAssin SCORE: 8.7/10 Faye has arrived as Mother Earth herself, complete with a baby. Because apparently creating an entire planet wasn’t enough responsibility. The emerald, sapphire, and gold palette is absolutely beautiful. The globe-inspired construction is visually effective, and the elaborate hairstyle gives the presentation a sense of divine authority. I appreciate the symbolism of motherhood and creation. However, the baby becomes such a dominant element that it competes with the actual garment. The concept is clear, perhaps a little TOO clear. I wanted a more sophisticated interpretation of Earth’s natural beauty rather than such a literal representation of motherhood. Beautiful symbolism, but the baby is doing a little too much of the storytelling. MERLLY MONSEHÁ — Maris SCORE: 9.7/10 OH, THIS BITCH IS EXPENSIVE! Merlly, darling, you didn’t come from another planet. You came from another FASHION DIMENSION. The sculptural blue-and-white fabric swirling around her body is absolutely breathtaking. The silhouette has movement, architectural brilliance, and a level of sophistication that immediately separates this presentation from the competition. And THAT HAIR?! The enormous black sculptural hairstyle looks as though gravity itself has surrendered. What makes this look particularly successful is that the cosmic references are integrated into the fashion rather than simply attached to it. My only tiny complaint is the planetary handbag. At this point, I’m convinced the entire Haus received a bulk discount. This is couture. This is editorial. This is what happens when a concept becomes actual fashion. AERYN NOIR — Lyanka SCORE: 9.0/10 Aeryn looks like she knows exactly when the universe is going to end. And naturally, she’s already selected her outfit for the occasion. The champagne-gold palette is sophisticated, and the celestial accessories are beautifully coordinated. I particularly appreciate the multiple-arm illusion, which creates a divine, otherworldly quality. However, beneath all that astronomical ornamentation, the underlying silhouette is relatively familiar. A flowing gown with a dramatic slit is lovely, but I wanted the actual construction to be as adventurous as the concept. The additional arms are an interesting creative choice that could have been pushed even further. A beautiful celestial goddess, but the accessories are slightly more exciting than the garment. ALPHAKILLER — akaliuchis SCORE: 8.4/10 Somebody misunderstood the assignment and thought we were preparing for an intergalactic WAR. And honestly? I don’t hate it. The fiery red-and-orange metallic armor is striking, and the exaggerated shoulders create an intimidating silhouette. I appreciate the departure from the soft, ethereal glamour displayed by several teammates. However, this look occasionally veers dangerously close to superhero cosplay. The armored bodysuit, oversized coat, and spiked accessory establish a strong character, but the overall presentation lacks the refinement of the strongest looks. It’s giving Marvel villain attending the Met Gala. Memorable character, striking color story, but I needed more couture and less comic-book convention. DIMI LUX — Dimitra SCORE: 9.3/10 PINK HAIR AND PLANETARY RINGS?! OH, DIMI KNEW EXACTLY WHAT SHE WAS DOING! The enormous hot-pink hairstyle is spectacular. It’s theatrical, playful, and unapologetically drag. The gold orbital structures wrapping around her body create a futuristic silhouette that is both glamorous and instantly recognizable. I particularly appreciate that Dimi maintains her femininity and sex appeal without sacrificing the celestial concept. However, the rings are doing so much work that I wish the underlying garment were equally adventurous. Remove the orbital structures, and the silhouette becomes significantly less interesting. But as a complete runway presentation? She’s undeniably serving. One of the best hair moments of the episode, and a fabulous example of cosmic drag glamour. CARAMELANIE — Mel SCORE: 9.5/10 CARAME-LANIE, YOU BETTER WORK! Now THIS is how you translate a planetary concept into fashion. The icy silver-blue palette is stunning, but the real success lies in the architectural construction. Those sharp crystalline structures create an almost dangerous elegance, while the windswept silver hair gives the illusion of floating through zero gravity. Unlike several of her teammates, Caramelanie doesn’t need a giant planet attached to her body to communicate the theme. The cosmic fantasy exists within the garment itself. The small celestial handbag feels unnecessary, but that’s a minor complaint. Fashion-forward, beautifully constructed, and one of the strongest examples of concept meeting couture. LEQUNT — LeQuishaQ SCORE: 9.6/10 SOMEBODY CALL NASA BECAUSE JUPITER HAS A NEW LANDLORD! LeQunt has delivered one of the most visually commanding presentations of this entire challenge. The bronze, copper, cream, and champagne palette is absolutely luxurious against her complexion. And the HAIR?! BABY, THAT HAIR HAS ITS OWN ATMOSPHERE! The enormous circular structure creates an unforgettable silhouette, while the swirling bands of the gown and orbiting rings beautifully interpret Jupiter’s turbulent atmosphere. And knowing LeQunt comes from Newcastle, home of the famous Angel of the North, I can’t help seeing a possible architectural influence in the dramatic, expansive upper silhouette. Whether intentional or not, that connection adds another interesting layer to the presentation. The most impressive aspect is how the planetary inspiration becomes part of the garment’s actual shape. My only criticism is that the lower portion becomes more conventional compared with the extraordinary construction above the waist. A spectacular marriage of celestial inspiration, architectural drama, and high-fashion elegance. ORGASMIQUE — Torree SCORE: 8.9/10 Orgasmique said, “I am no longer accepting human applications.” And I believe her! The metallic silver body treatment is fascinating, and the intricate circular embellishments create a striking extraterrestrial appearance. The almost robotic face is particularly effective. This is one of the most complete character transformations in the Haus. However, the density of the embellishments makes it difficult to identify a clear focal point. There’s extraordinary detail here, but detail and impact aren’t necessarily the same thing. The silhouette is also relatively static compared with the movement and architectural experimentation of the strongest competitors. An impressive transformation, but the fashion gets slightly buried beneath the craftsmanship. 🌌 THE GALAXSHE VERDICT This Haus understood the importance of creating a unified visual identity. The metallic finishes, sculptural silhouettes, celestial accessories, and consistent styling make the collection feel connected. Merlly, LeQunt, and Caramelanie delivered particularly impressive interpretations that successfully transformed astronomical concepts into couture. However, there’s also a degree of repetition. Several looks feature similar planetary accessories, metallic structures, and dramatic gowns. At times, I wondered whether I was watching eight distinct fashion interpretations or eight variations from the same celestial designer. Still, the quality of execution is undeniably high. HAUS AVERAGE: 9.14/10 TOP LOOK: Merlly Monsehá — 9.7/10 BOTTOM LOOK: AlphaKiller — 8.4/10 👑 AND THE WINNING HAUS IS… 🌌 HAUS OF GALAXSHE! OH, THIS WAS CLOSE! So close, in fact, that I’m sure somebody is already preparing a three-page dissertation explaining why their Haus was robbed. And honestly? I understand. Lost at Sea delivered the stronger variety of storytelling. Their collection was filled with characters, mythology, and wonderfully different interpretations of the same theme. They gave us an actual underwater world, complete with beauty, danger, mystery, and a few creatures that absolutely should not be allowed near a public beach. But GalaxShe delivered the stronger overall fashion collection. Their execution was consistently polished, their architectural silhouettes were ambitious, and their best looks elevated planetary inspiration into legitimate couture. Even with my complaints about the repetitive accessories, there was an undeniable sense of collective luxury. Lost at Sea told the better stories. GalaxShe delivered the stronger fashion. And in this Haus, the fashion matters. Congratulations, GalaxShe. You’ve officially conquered this week’s runway. But don’t get comfortable. The universe is enormous, and there’s always something bigger waiting to swallow you whole. ⸻ 💎 ONYX’S LOOK OF THE WEEK MERLLY MONSEHÁ — Maris 9.7/10 Merlly, come collect your flowers, your crown, and possibly the keys to the entire solar system. This was the strongest individual fashion presentation of the episode. The sculptural construction, dynamic silhouette, extraordinary hair, and sophisticated color palette created something that felt genuinely editorial rather than simply decorative. Pairadox gave us spectacle. LeQunt gave us planetary royalty. Caramelanie gave us architectural precision. But Merlly gave us a complete fashion moment. And that’s why she takes the top spot. THE HAUS HAS EYES, AND THIS WEEK, THEY WERE ALL ON MERLLY. ⸻ 🚨 THE HAUS HAS CLAIMED ITS FIRST VICTIM Now comes the part nobody wants to discuss. Except me. Because somebody has to go home, and unfortunately, the losing Haus must sacrifice one of its own. Haus Lost at Sea, step forward. You gave us creativity, drama, imagination, and some genuinely impressive runway moments. But one contestant simply didn’t rise to the level of the competition. And that contestant is… JORDIE — Jordie 8.2/10 Oh, Jordie. The seashells were beautiful. The hair was gorgeous. The gown was lovely. But that’s exactly the problem. You were surrounded by contestants delivering shipwrecks, monstrous sea creatures, haunted sailors, and elaborate nautical fantasies. And you gave us a very expensive beach wedding. In a challenge designed to test creativity and collective storytelling, your interpretation was simply too safe. The garment was pretty, but it lacked the originality, theatricality, and fashion risk displayed by your teammates. And when the competition is this strong, playing it safe is sometimes the most dangerous decision of all. Jordie, darling, you were lost at sea, and unfortunately, your fashion never found its way back to shore. This is Onyx’s elimination pick, and baby, the lifeboat has officially left without you. ⸻ 💋 ONYX’S FINAL WORD Sixteen contestants. Two Hauses. One fashion war. And what have we learned, children? Apparently, if you’re competing in Drag Haus, you need either an entire ship on your head or enough planetary hardware to interfere with satellite communications. This episode delivered some of the most ambitious looks we’ve seen so far, and I must admit that both Hauses understood the importance of making an impression. But here’s what separates a good drag performer from a great one. It’s not enough to have a beautiful garment. It’s not enough to wear an enormous wig. And it certainly isn’t enough to carry a handbag shaped like a planet. Your look needs a point of view. It needs intention. It needs to make me feel something beyond the urge to check how much it costs. This week, Merlly reminded us what happens when fashion and fantasy exist in perfect harmony. Pairadox demonstrated the power of theatrical storytelling. LeQunt showed us that a planetary concept can become architectural art. And X-Fact Her proved that beauty isn’t always supposed to be comfortable. Meanwhile, Jordie reminded us that sometimes the most dangerous thing you can do in a room full of extraordinary people is simply be pretty. Haus of GalaxShe, enjoy your victory. Haus Lost at Sea, somebody had to walk the plank. And to the remaining contestants? Consider this your warning. The Haus Has Eyes. And trust me, darlings… WE SEE EVERYTHING. 👁️ Until next time, keep your wigs secured, your silhouettes interesting, and your excuses to yourselves. — Onyx Royale 💋 The Haus Has Eyes All scores, rankings, Haus selections, and elimination predictions reflect my independent fashion commentary and are not official Drag Haus judging results. #DragHausS2
