Well, well, WELL! The Haus has officially opened its doors, and apparently somebody told these contestants that the theme was the Met Gala, the apocalypse, and the second coming of Christ all rolled into ONE! For their very first challenge of Drag Haus Season 2, our sixteen queens and king were given one simple assignment: SHOW US WHO YOU ARE! No celebrity impersonations. No hiding behind somebody else’s aesthetic. Just pure, unfiltered drag identity. And after watching these runway presentations, I have questions. Lots of them. Some contestants delivered breathtaking couture. Others gave us genuine creativity and unforgettable storytelling. And a few? Well, let’s just say that a pretty dress and a dream might not be enough to survive this competition. The rhinestones have settled, the feathers have stopped flying, and I’ve sharpened my tongue accordingly. Let’s get into these looks, darlings! 👑 AERYN NOIR — THE GOLDEN FANTASY Lyanka 9.1/10 Aeryn, darling, you look like the entire Met Gala got reincarnated as a chandelier, and I mean that affectionately! The feathers are fabulous, the gold is gorgeous, and the drama is undeniable. This is the kind of entrance that makes people stop talking and start staring. But when all those feathers settle, who exactly is standing underneath them? There’s a difference between wearing a spectacular garment and establishing a spectacular drag identity. I see the fantasy, I see the money, and I see the craftsmanship. What I’m still waiting to see is the personality. Give me more than beautiful, darling. Give me YOU! 👑 AISHAH ALI — THE RED EMPRESS Morgan 9.5/10 Aishah, you look like you own the palace, the country surrounding it, and everybody responsible for cleaning both! This is royalty with a capital R. The structure is immaculate, the detailing is divine, and that silhouette is EVERYTHING. I particularly love how the rich red fabric contrasts with the intricate patterned corsetry. It’s regal without being boring, dramatic without completely swallowing the person wearing it, and polished from head to toe. But darling, there’s one thing that worries me. This is a competition full of queens declaring themselves empresses, goddesses, and rulers. What makes YOUR throne different? I need to see the woman behind the empire, because nobody wants to watch a beautifully dressed statue for an entire season! 👑 CARAMELANIE — THE SWEETEST SIN Mel 9.8/10 CARAMELANIE! SOMEBODY CHECK MY BLOOD SUGAR BECAUSE THIS LOOK JUST GAVE ME DIABETES! Now THIS is how you introduce a drag identity! You didn’t just wear something sweet, you became the entire dessert menu! The sculptural swirls, the dripping caramel embellishments, the extravagant confection-inspired hair, and that BODY! Everything works together to tell one deliciously outrageous story. This is camp meeting couture at the intersection of SEX and SUGAR, and I am absolutely living for it. What separates this look from so many others is that I immediately understand who Caramelanie is supposed to be. She’s indulgent, she’s seductive, she’s playful, and she’s clearly not afraid to take a concept all the way. Everybody else better hope the judges aren’t hungry, because baby, you just served the entire buffet! 👑 DIMILUX — THE GODDESS OF DESIRE Dimitra 9.4/10 Dimilux, you look like Medusa fell in love, got a makeover, and started charging people to look her in the eyes! The pink hair is fabulous, the golden armor is stunning, and that serpent headpiece is a MOMENT. I appreciate the decision to combine mythology with a more playful, sensual color palette instead of relying on the predictable dark and dangerous interpretation. But darling, you’re giving me three different goddesses fighting for custody of the same outfit! Is it Medusa? Aphrodite? Wonder Woman after a messy divorce? The elements are individually fabulous, but I want the overall story to feel a little more focused. You’re clearly capable of producing a major runway moment. Now make sure the concept is as sharp as the execution! 👑 FAYE CHANCEY ROE — THE ROYAL VOYAGE GuiltyAssin 9.3/10 Faye, you didn’t walk the runway, you arrived by CRUISE SHIP! And apparently first class wasn’t luxurious enough, because you brought the entire royal fleet with you! The craftsmanship here is spectacular. The elaborate boat structure, the pearl detailing, the ornate headpiece, and those gorgeous layers of ocean-blue fabric create a genuinely impressive visual experience. I love that you’ve committed to a recognizable concept instead of simply putting on another expensive gown. However, darling, there’s a problem when I spend more time admiring your transportation than looking at your FACE! You’re supposed to be the queen, not the Royal Caribbean. The vessel is magnificent, but the person commanding it needs to remain the star. Next time, make sure the boat doesn’t sail away with all the attention! 👑 GLITORIS — JEWELS SPARKLES Glitter 8.0/10 Oh, Glitoris. Sweetheart. Baby girl. You’re giving me prom queen at a very expensive private school, and unfortunately, I don’t think that’s the compliment you were hoping for. The blue is pretty, the hair is pretty, the dress is pretty, and that’s exactly my PROBLEM! Everybody else came dressed like mythical creatures, supernatural royalty, and architectural landmarks, and you came looking like Cinderella’s understudy. Now don’t misunderstand me. The garment is beautifully presented, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with a softer, more traditionally feminine approach to drag. But with a name like GLITORIS, I expected something cheeky, outrageous, glamorous, and just a little inappropriate! Instead, I’m getting a perfectly pleasant princess fantasy that doesn’t tell me nearly enough about the person wearing it. Where’s the danger? Where’s the personality? WHERE’S THE GLITORIS?! This is Drag Haus, darling, not Disney on Ice! 👑 JORDIE — THE CORAL QUEEN Jordie 9.7/10 Jordie, this is what happens when the Great Barrier Reef gets a modeling contract! The colors are exquisite, the movement is gorgeous, and the detailing is absolutely DIVINE! That combination of coral pink, shimmering blue, delicate pearls, and sculptural reef formations creates a spectacular silhouette without completely hiding the body. And thank goodness, because the posing is giving me everything I need! You look like something a billionaire mermaid would wear to her divorce party. My only hesitation is that underwater fantasy isn’t exactly new territory in drag. We’ve seen coral, we’ve seen pearls, and we’ve seen ocean goddesses. But what you’ve done is execute the concept at an incredibly high level. Now the challenge is making sure Jordie becomes more memorable than the theme itself. Beautiful work, darling. Absolutely beautiful! 👑 KORTREE YORK — THE EMERALD EMPRESS Kimmie 9.2/10 Kortree, you look like the richest woman at a funeral who secretly arranged the death! And honey, I LOVE a wealthy villain! The emerald palette is stunning, the feathered construction is fabulous, and the elongated silhouette gives this look an unmistakable old-Hollywood glamour. The contrasting shades of green are particularly successful, creating dimension without sacrificing the overall elegance. But darling, how many wealthy empresses are we going to see before somebody files a tax return? This cast has enough extravagant royalty to start its own monarchy! While your presentation is polished and undeniably beautiful, I want something that separates Kortree York from every other glamorous showgirl who has ever stepped onto a runway. Right now, you’re serving expensive cabaret, and I need a little more individuality to go with all that luxury! 👑 LEQUNT — THE GOLDEN RULER LeQuishaQ 9.8/10 LEQUNT! NOW THIS IS HOW YOU REPRESENT YOUR ROOTS! For those who may not know, LeQunt comes from Newcastle, home of the iconic Angel of the North. And looking at this spectacular winged creation, I can’t help but see what appears to be a fabulous tribute to that landmark! If that was indeed the inspiration, then baby, you understood this assignment on an entirely different LEVEL! You took what looks like a symbol of home and transformed it into a golden monument to YOURSELF. That’s not just fashion, that’s storytelling! The magnificent wings create an imposing architectural silhouette, while the intricate metallic detailing and sculpted gown bring the fantasy firmly into high-fashion territory. I particularly appreciate that the wings aren’t simply a random accessory attached for dramatic effect. They appear to have a meaningful connection to the identity you’re presenting. And THAT is what this challenge should be about! Newcastle already has an angel, but apparently she decided to enter Drag Haus and demand the CROWN! BRAVO! 👑 MERLLY MONSEHÁ — THE BLOOMING FANTASY Maris 9.9/10 MERLLY! WHAT IN THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS IS GOING ON HERE?! I AM ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED! While everybody else was fighting over who could wear the biggest crown, you decided to become an entirely new species of FLOWER! The silhouette is bizarre in the BEST possible way. Those enormous curling petals, the delicate spotted textures, the unusual proportions, and that beautifully strange styling create something that feels genuinely original. This is the kind of look that makes me stop analyzing fashion and simply appreciate the imagination behind it. And let’s discuss the presentation! The elongated legs, the unconventional floral headpiece, and the almost alien quality of the makeup make this feel like a creature that escaped from an enchanted botanical garden and immediately signed with a modeling agency. It’s whimsical, unsettling, glamorous, and completely committed to its own fantasy. THIS is what happens when a drag artist has an actual imagination! You didn’t just understand the assignment, darling. You ate it, watered it, and BLOOMED! Somebody get this woman a greenhouse and a standing ovation! 👑 MOOSE — THE INVISIBLE MYSTERY Tayvie 9.5/10 MOOSE! BABY, WHERE IS YOUR HEAD?! Did you leave it in the dressing room? Did production lose it? Do we need to file a police report?! FINALLY, somebody who understands that drag doesn’t require twelve pounds of rhinestones and a chandelier attached to your scalp! The invisible-man illusion is clever, the tailoring is sharp, and the character is immediately recognizable. I particularly appreciate the commitment to a completely different visual language from the rest of the cast. While everybody else is competing to become the most extravagant goddess in the room, Moose has chosen mystery, theatricality, and a wonderfully absurd sense of humor. But here’s my concern: once the disappearing act wears off, what’s left? This is an excellent introduction, but a signature gimmick can quickly become a limitation if you don’t know how to evolve it. Eventually, darling, you’re going to need more than a good trick. Although judging by some of these other contestants, having no head might actually be an advantage! 👑 MUMMY — THE Y2K SUPERSTAR TommyXx 8.7/10 Mummy, you’re giving me Paris Hilton’s long-lost cousin who spent her entire allowance at the mall! The flip phone, the butterflies, the denim, the ponytail… baby, I can practically hear a ringtone playing! I appreciate how thoroughly you’ve committed to the Y2K aesthetic. The reconstructed denim silhouette is surprisingly sophisticated, and the playful accessories immediately establish the era you’re referencing. There’s a certain nostalgic charm here that makes the presentation enjoyable. But sweetheart, this is Drag Haus, not an audition for a reboot of The Simple Life! Nostalgia alone isn’t enough to establish a drag identity. I want to know what Mummy brings to this aesthetic that makes it uniquely hers. Right now, you’re serving 2004 beautifully, but what exactly are you bringing to 2026? The potential is absolutely there. I just need you to turn the nostalgia into something a little more revolutionary! 👑 ORGASMIQUE — THE DARK ENCHANTRESS Torree 9.8/10 ORGASMIQUE! Darling, I don’t know whether you’re supposed to seduce me, curse me, or drag me into the ocean, but I’m willing to take my chances! This is PHENOMENAL couture. The iridescent textures, the sculptural silhouette, the elaborate headpiece, and those incredible sweeping extensions create one of the most visually sophisticated presentations of the entire episode. There’s something almost otherworldly about the construction, as though this creature exists somewhere between an ancient sea demon and a futuristic fashion deity. The detailing is exceptional, and the movement implied by those dramatic curves gives the entire look a sense of life. But with a name like ORGASMIQUE, I expected a little more SEX! Right now, you’re giving me a supernatural sea creature with excellent credit and a very expensive skincare routine. The fashion is absolutely there, and the artistic vision is undeniable. I just want the personality to be as provocative as the name. Gorgeous, darling, but where’s the CLIMAX?! 👑 PAIRADOX — THE TWO-FACED FANTASY Jordan 9.7/10 PAIRADOX! TWO FACES AND BOTH OF THEM LOOK BETTER THAN HALF THIS CAST! Now THIS is how you take your name and turn it into a fashion statement! The symmetry is stunning, the silver detailing is exquisite, and the entire concept is immediately recognizable. The dual-headed illusion is beautifully integrated into the garment rather than looking like an afterthought, and the elaborate construction gives both faces equal importance within the overall silhouette. My only complaint? The two personalities aren’t different ENOUGH! Give me heaven and hell! Beauty and beast! Good twin and the one who stole her boyfriend! I want DRAMA between those two heads! The concept of duality offers so many opportunities for visual contrast, and I think you could have pushed that idea even further. Still, this is an incredibly strong presentation that tells me exactly what Pairadox wants to bring to the competition. Two faces, one spectacular outfit, and absolutely no excuse for forgetting your lines! 👑 X-FACT HER — THE GOTHIC DOLL X 9.0/10 X-Fact Her, you look like the doll that comes alive at three in the morning and murders the entire family, and I mean that as a COMPLIMENT! The lace is gorgeous, the bows are beautiful, and the gothic styling is wonderfully cohesive. There’s a haunting elegance to the entire presentation, particularly in the contrast between the delicate decorative elements and the darker, more unsettling atmosphere. You clearly understand the visual language of gothic doll fashion, and the commitment to the aesthetic is impressive. But darling, I’ve seen haunted dolls before. I’ve seen black lace. I’ve seen creepy little girls with porcelain faces. What makes YOU the X-Fact Her? The look is beautiful, but it feels a little too comfortable within an already established aesthetic. I want something unexpected, something that takes this character beyond the familiar gothic fantasy and into genuinely unforgettable territory. Right now, you’re serving a very expensive doll from a very haunted antique shop. Beautiful? Absolutely. Groundbreaking? Not quite. Give me something that makes me afraid to sleep tonight! 👑 ALPHA KILLER — THE ARMOURED FANTASY akaliuchis 9.6/10 ALPHA KILLER! Baby, you look like you’ve conquered seven kingdoms, destroyed three armies, and STILL found time to get your nails done! The armor is FIERCE, the detailing is incredible, and that white spiked hair is an absolute MOMENT! I love the combination of the aggressive black-and-red construction with the exaggerated feminine silhouette. The sharp shoulders, dramatic train, intricate embellishments, and commanding presentation make this look feel genuinely dangerous. You look like the final boss of a video game that nobody has ever successfully beaten. But darling, here’s my warning: looking dangerous is not the same thing as being interesting. The fashion is clearly strong, and the character has enormous potential, but I need to know there’s an actual personality underneath all that fabulous violence. Can Alpha Killer deliver vulnerability, humor, or unexpected creativity when the challenge demands it? Because the armor may be strong, but can the DRAG survive without it? Either way, I wouldn’t want to be the contestant standing between you and that crown! 👑 THE HAUS HAS SPOKEN: MY FINAL PREDICTIONS PREDICTED CHALLENGE WINNER: MERLLY MONSEHÁ — 9.9/10 Merlly takes my top spot because she delivered something this runway desperately needed: genuine originality. In a sea of regal gowns, metallic armor, and extravagant fantasy, she created a character that feels entirely her own. The construction is exceptional, the presentation is memorable, and the concept is unmistakably imaginative. This is the kind of risk I want rewarded! TOP CONTENDERS: CARAMELANIE , LEQUNT & ORGASMIQUE — 9.8/10 EACH Caramelanie brought the branding, LeQunt brought what appears to be a deeply personal connection to home, and Orgasmique brought extraordinary couture craftsmanship. Any of these three could easily challenge Merlly for the top position, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the judges saw things differently. DARK HORSE: MOOSE (Tayvie) — 9.5/10 While the rest of the cast is competing in the couture Olympics, Moose is playing an entirely different game. The invisible-man concept proves that creativity doesn’t always require the biggest gown or the most expensive embellishments. If Moose can continue delivering this kind of unexpected theatricality, we could have a serious contender on our hands. PREDICTED ELIMINATION: GLITORIS (Glitter) — 8.0/10 Somebody has to go, and unfortunately, my money is on Glitoris. It’s not that the look is ugly. It’s not that the styling is terrible. It’s that in a competition where nearly everybody delivered an elaborate statement about their drag identity, Glitoris delivered something that feels comparatively safe. Pretty simply isn’t enough when you’re surrounded by this much ambition. ⸻ 💋 ONE LAST THING BEFORE I CLOSE THESE EYES… Sixteen contestants walked into this Haus determined to show us who they are, and baby, some of them showed us EVERYTHING while others showed us exactly why they should’ve stayed home! Merlly bloomed into something extraordinary. Caramelanie served a dessert worth sinning for. LeQunt brought what looks like a piece of Newcastle history straight onto the runway. Orgasmique reminded us that fashion can be both beautiful and terrifying. And Moose? Well, Moose apparently lost his head somewhere along the way, but at least he remembered to bring some PERSONALITY! What concerns me most about this cast is how many contestants seem to believe that expensive automatically means exceptional something I struggled with in season 1. Yes, the craftsmanship is impressive. Yes, the silhouettes are dramatic. And yes, nearly everybody looks like they spent the national budget of a small country on their runway package. But this challenge wasn’t called THIS IS MY MOST EXPENSIVE OUTFIT 2.0. It was called THIS IS ME 2.0. And if I can’t tell who you are underneath the feathers, rhinestones, armor, and twenty-foot trains, then perhaps you haven’t fully understood the assignment. As for Glitoris, darling, I hope you’ve got something extraordinary prepared if you find yourself fighting for survival. Because in this Haus, fairy tales don’t always have happy endings. The first elimination is approaching, the competition is already looking vicious, and I have a feeling these queens are only getting started. Until next time, keep your wigs secured, your heels sharpened, and your excuses somewhere I can’t hear them. Because remember, darlings… THE HAUS HAS EYES. AND I’M WATCHING EVERYTHING! 👁️ With love, luxury, and just the right amount of venom, ONYX ROYALE 💋 #DragHausS2
