TUTORIAL: how to block a user
i was so inspired by the tutorial brookie created a few days ago that i decided to create one of my own to help out new users!
step 1: click the little settings button on your profile
step 2: you'll want to click "blocked users"
step 3: be sure to toggle on "do not show me blog posts of blocked users" and type "chibi" under the username to block
if you followed all the steps correctly, your screen should look like this! if it doesn't, you fucked up and should return to step 1

This was a really clear and practical guide — Using Chibi as the example actually helped make it feel more real, especially in showing how repeated disruptive or inappropriate behaviour can impact the overall community experience. It’s a good reminder that moderating a blog isn’t about shutting people out for no reason, but about protecting the environment for everyone else. Setting those boundaries properly is what allows genuine, respectful users to keep engaging comfortably.
