question: would you take this?
would you take a job where its like around 90k a year, BUT you need to commute an hour and 15 to an hour and 30 minutes a day? 5 days a week.
your boss is on the west coast and youre the only person on your team in the office you are supposed to work at? but also your manager is gay

I've done the same commute and it's not easy. To answer if I should take it, it depends. What's the alternative? I would much rather take a 70k job if it was near me for example
Sin there is no alternative. its either this or unemployment lol also didnt even get the job yet but its looking positive
Smores I was in your position a year ago. It was unemployment or 45k (USD) with an hour drive each way. I jumped at it but it wore me down. 90K is a lot more but if you think you can easily land something better then I would start trying to so you have all your options available
Sin hard part is everything is in NYC and im that far from it :/ so regardless what i find i still gotta do that crazy commute unless i move but NYC is ridiculous
Smores I don't know NYC prices but if you can find a place for around 20K a year, then I personally would take that as a deduction from my wage to save me the commute time. And then you have a new apartment!
is it an hour and a half there, and an hour and a half back, or 45 min each, so hour and a half total? The second is basically my commute now since I take the bus, and I make less than half that lol. So I guess my answer would be yes either way, but if it's 3 hours total that obv is rough

Smores you should at least give it a try. Download some podcasts or audiobooks to listen to on the train
