Has anyone ever experienced trauma manifesting itself, after some time or if the trauma is re-triggered, into OCD-like symptoms? If you feel comfortable speaking on this, was it very subtle?
So for me I would agree with what Carlton said, itβs yes and no for me. It depends on what the trigger is. Britt you can pm me and I can talk about it with you in pms β€οΈ
The OCD symptoms come from a place of seeking control when the trauma is re-triggered. Look into grounding exercises when this occurs as that can help the OCD symptoms when the trauma is triggered. (That social work degree really paid off huh)

JessieKowalski thank you for this reminder π©· I totally forgot your area of expertise- I didnβt even realize the behaviors were a re-triggering π
Yes I have and no it wasnβt subtle. Sometimes even the smallest thing that reminds you of a past trauma can bring it all back.
CarltonRS I feel this :/
Girl.... I fear this is PTSD
