You need to always collect water. Because it takes 4 hours to collect. You need water to hunt for food or look for idols. Collecting water doesn't not affect your health in any way. Not eating does. So its mandatory to collect water daily to keep yourself fed and healthy. Or Idol hunt.

when you don't have enough to hunt
