TONE'S OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN SPEECH (MUST READ)

My fellow Kovazians, thank you for being here in this exact amount of here, during this very specific quantity of now, which is happening at a speed we can all agree is somewhere between fast and not fast, depending on how you feel about clocks, which I do, sometimes, when I remember they exist. I am standing in front of you today because standing happened, and then I was here, and now words are coming out, which is honestly the most natural order of events when you really sit down and don’t sit down and think about it at the same time. This moment is a moment, and moments are just smaller moments wearing bigger moment clothes, and if you stack enough of them together you get a long moment, which some people call a future, and other people call “oh wow, is it already that time?” We are a group, but also a collection, but also a bunch, and sometimes a crowd, and crowds are just people doing a people thing at the same place in the same place, which is impressive when you think about how many places there are to not be instead. I believe in that. I believe in being where we are while we are where we are, because if we weren’t, we would be somewhere else, and that would be a whole different speech. Things will happen. Some of them will be like other things, and some of them will be very much not like other things, and in between those things will be more things, filling up the spaces where spaces usually go when they’re not being used. And I stand for that. I stand for the idea of standing for something that stands near something else that is also standing, because sitting is a whole other topic and we don’t have the chairs for it. Let me be clear, or at least shaped like clear from a distance: I will continue to continue, and I will start when the starting feels ready to be started. I will pause for the pauses and move for the moves, and in the middle of all that, I will be right here, doing this part, which is this part. So join me, not in a direction, not in a reason, not even in a general idea of where we might be headed, but in this exact section of time where we are all listening to sounds that form sentences that form more sounds. Together, we will go forward, backward, and gently sideways into the next part of now, which will arrive shortly after this part of now decides it is finished being this part of now. Thank you.
