First off, I’m rewatching it and I’m discovering that Oliver was a total asshole. Yes he was all charming and shit but he totally led Ellio on. In the end, he just used a kid for his own pleasure knowing that he would leave. He left poor Ellio alone and heartbroken, just so he could go back to America and find some broad to marry. If you read the book Find Me like I did then you really find out what a piece of shit Oliver was. I don’t think he ever cared for Ellio one bit.
