but i do feel as though if there is something that is triggering to you, usernames or something else, it's unfortunately your responsibility to remove yourself from that space, not the responsibility of others to work around preventing you from being triggered

so using this logic, those people should have to give up being a part of this community or playing games b/c of something that triggers their nervous system?? i dont personally have an issue with suicides name however i do think we should at least try to at least meet in the middle instead of essentially telling people fuck their feelings
Society does also have norms and rules though. Like yes, you could argue a lot of things could trigger people, but there is a difference between something universally controversial and me saying "don't name yourself RatKing, I am afraid of rats and it's triggering"
Cherry I think we just have different opinions on what's controversial though, I think the conversation surrounding suicide does not need to be taboo. By making it so, we just stigmatize it.

Nenalala I don't, but if any of my friends are suicidal then I hope I can be there for them and give them all of my support. I'm not a bad person that wants people to kill themselves, but I'm just being realistic. If someone is not ready to see the word without it sending them off the edge, then they need to continue to seek the proper areas of support, even if that means staying offline for a bit

Amandasings04 well now we're just getting creative, but realistically, if someone stripped naked in front of you and you didn't like it you would just.... have to walk away. You aren't going to grab that person's clothes and forcefully put them back on the person, and if they don't care to strip in front of you then they won't change that behavior, so all you can do is just remove yourself from the situation

I mean exactly. I dont wanna downplay peoples feelings when it comes to certain triggers, but literally ANYTHING can be a trigger. It doesn't make it offensive like at all, its rly ur job to like remove urself from the equation.
