We have already seen the best we are gonna get from him. I showed progress from my audition shoot to my first photoshoot. People mayyyy not know but we are sisters :) it’ll be ironic for me to be first boot as they take the crown. Their latest photoshoot was absolutely stunning. I think they nailed looking JUICY and EDITORIAL. It was chic darling. I’m excited to see what else they have in store along with the rest of the girls! =================================== - The time has come to review the contestants' first official submissions! Another goood photo from you, youre establishing your place in the competition. I do wish your set was a bit more creative. Generating the fruit around you in a black void doesnt excite me. Id also love to see you wear something else other than a dress next time. The dress itself is good, you are smart for choosing a fruit that allowed you to add the hairy exterior and that elevated the look a lot. Love the rambutan earrings detail. Good submission this week.   MURIBOLT Dusa: A Grecian inspired shoot using grapes as your chosen fruit feels a little uninspired to me tbh. I do like the bodice portion of the dress, but theres too much going on and looks too chaotic for me personally. We can barely see the dress, and from what I can see it looks too much like a prom dress. By no means this is a bad photo, but a little bit more cleaning up and polishing wouldve done wonders.   GOOMYBEAR Dusa: Now this I can see in a GQ magazine. You didnt take the fruit assignment literal and randomly generated fruits all over your photo, you had a vision and it worked. Others might say this isnt giving fruit, but the challenge was to choose a fruit and create a look inspired by said chosen fruit. You did the challenge the right way. Love the green shirt underneath the blazer, and the cut on that leg gives the whole look some spice. My only critique is that I wish you were a bit closer to the camera.   SEXYTEX Dusa: This is another case of going the obvious route. I wish there was a bit more creativity with the whole look. The dress itself is cute and looks good on your model. However, one side of the skrt doesnt match the detailing on the other. Im not sure if that was intentional, but you need to be careful. I cannot see this on the cover of a magazine. You played too safe and im a disappointed.   SAM Dusa: Interesting shot. Same like last week, almooost there for me. I see the vision, but unfortunately it didnt come to fruition (pun), Definitely more of the creative set ive seen thus far. The biggest problem I have with you this episode is that your face is tooo turned away ! I love this outfit soooo much, but with the face being turned too much to the side, and the pose looking a bit awkward I had to dock some points.   DAILYICON Dusa: I'm not a fan of any Dimitra references on photos it just gves a little desperate and cheesy. I see that the AI messed up the quality of your outfit and I know how frustrating that is. The fur jacket is overdoing it for me. I think if you had chosen a different fabric, you may have been able to clean up the look. My advice would be going on grok and telling the AI to fix the texture. Otherwise your outfit fine and simple, but not amazing.   CAMELL22 Dusa: I dont wanna sound homophobc (im gay), but this looks too gay. your outfit is already extremely feminine, you couldve contrasted that by flexing your biceps without tiptoeing like a ballerina. I wish you couldve done something different with your hair because the un-styled look is so out of place. Now for the outfit... love ! simple, but the construction eatsss. The fabric almost looks like peeled peach skin, so good!   BOSSLADY Dusa: Yes. Powerful. Love the pose and set obviously. However, I needed more couture from you. I can see this on a magazine sure, but not a fashion magazine. This almost looks like a time's magazine shot to me, or a portfolio to a woman that runs a lemon farm. Some ways of fixing that illusion was to change your pose. Stand not sit. It might just be me, but that was my only critique. Great photo.   TAYVIE Dusa: Unfortunately, I do not like this photo. This is giving woodland creature than a high fasion model on the cover of Vogue. Firstly, the set is unexplainable to me? The background makes you look like youre out in outer space. And those SHOEEEEEES... no pls no. The outft wouldve been fine, but you put on a coat made of grapes, which is giving lazy to me.   LEWIS Dusa: wait.... I kinda live for this. I can tell you wanted to see your improvement this week and that you did 100%.I love that youre interacting with the substance on the floor, love the splatter and the facial expression. However, the outfit is too shadowed. The main goal was to showcase an outfit inspired by your chosen fruit, and Im unable to see half of what youre wearing. Love your necklace and the detailing near your hips. Just choose better poses next time.   HARE Dusa: The pose does not work for me at all. Same advice above ^^ I need to see your outfit. That was the whole objective for this photoshoot. From what I can see, I probably wouldve liked it, but again I cant see half of it. Also im not quite sure where you are? you already had an opportunity to be photographed in a black void setting, dont do it again. Show us more creativity.   TORIMARIE Dusa: Okay you proved me wrong this week. From the elbow up, its perfect. Looooooooove!!! Now this is what im talking about. The grapefruit top isnt actually grapefruit and you made that apparent by bejeweling the whole thing ! Then the hand crushing an actual grapefruit.... yesss mama. Obviously I would have loved to see the whole look and I did dock some points because of that, but from what I can see.... one of the best ones.   TISHA Dusa: The lighting obviously is a problem. You should have chosen an entirely different colour scheme for your set. Matching red and black which is what the colour of your dress is makes your outfit forgettable. Love the gothic kind of vampire aesthetic you chose. Just make sure youre paying close attention to tiny details like lighting next time, thats all.   HONEY Dusa: The model is gorge, cute fruit inspired outfit, clean, finesse and overall really good. I know by now that youre an established model. However, I need you to make it more high fashion and less Forever21. You have a ton of potential, play around more and take risks. Lots of people in this competition are improving little by little, make sure they dont get the opportunity to surpass you in quality.   POOF Dusa: Safe for me. Nothing bad and nothing to rave about. I needed more creativity.   THIII Dusa: The set is all wrong. Your dress is camouflaging with the real peaches, and for the photoshoot highlighting your look, thats a bad thing. Everything is too monochrome, we almost loose you. You do not want to be hidden like wheres waldo in your photos, you need to be the star. The outfit is great and im sad that you chose this set to display it. SEONG Dusa: I love you, but its a no for me. The set is amazing. The creativity is superior. However, you did not follow the prompt again. Youre balled up on the ground and I cannot see your outfit. I dont see this on a high fashion magazine. I can see it on a kpop album for sure. Prompt: 🍑 Fruit Art 🍑 Transform a fruit of their choice. They need to embody the fruit they selected through high-fashion plus have the entire look be inspired by the fruit which include; colors, texture, shape, mood, and attitude. Look, I even dressed up. People always say I look like Lady Gaga, and I just say, shut up <3 Here is my rating scale for this episode: Met the Prompt: ✅ Mostly Met the Prompt: 🟨 Good Idea....Meh Execution: ❓ Your Fruit Is Rotten: ❌ Finally, I will tell you if I will take a bite out of your fruit ;) ================================================== Photos Are Here: https://kovaze.com/group_thread/171 ================================================== RobbieRiot (Last Placement: 1st) Fruit: Rambutan??? It is very rich, luxurious, and seductive. It looks like you are walking towards me to give me the kiss of death, and I am perfectly fine with that. I had to Google your fruit to make sure I gave you the most accurate unsolicited opinion I could. The taste from research is a mixture of grape, pear, or Cherry. So something with a tart to it. I did see a Reddit post that it tasted like cum (can I say that????), but that is a whole different story. I'm not getting that. I think, with the outfit, ironically, you should have done, like, a furry coat or something (similar to last rounds), with maybe a white, creamy bodysuit base or main outfit in the middle, because I am not getting Rambutan. You do have the texture part down, though, so good job on that. The surroundings of the fruit could have been better, as they look like scary monster plants when they shouldn't. Finally, I think the lighting was an issue here. If you brighten things up that could have helped because with so much of the dark red, it blends in a lot with the other individual pieces. I think this was a big move to do something out of the box (fruit-wise). I just think the execution wasn't a full hit. 🍑Bite Out of Your Fruit🍑: Of course! Idk what to expect, but I like the mystery. I do think it is a bit on the nose of how grapes are perceived (someone being fed in a Greek-like atmosphere), but I am a person who, if you are going to do something, that is the first thing that people would think of, you need to hit out of the park, and I think you were almost there. I like how you transformed the fruit in your outfit, but I think the image is overwhelmed with grapes, so we lose sight of the overall look. If it wasn't for the skirt being just purple and not grapes, I would have been lost on where the outfit started and where the scenery began. I think replacing some of it with vines would have been a better choice to make the outfit stand out more. I also wish you had gone full barefoot. The way your feet look is great, but seeing that small sliver of a heel looks very weird to me, and I think barefoot in this environment would have been perfectly fine. With that said, the pose is great, and everything is well placed and purposeful. I love the head tilt because it makes your hair look great and the lighting is wonderful too to give you that amazing goddess glow. I see good ideas, but I also see ideas. I don't think you fully transformed the fruit, especially in the outfit. It looks like you just stapled the grapes onto the jacket and called it a day. Very Drag Race design idk how to sew Challenge vibes. I can't tell if it is the AI situation, but are you wearing pants that are one long leg and one missing leg, or do you have pants with an extra leg out? I think the outfit is nice overall, but the things mentioned threw me off, especially on the prompt side. The use of the fruit is very bare. It is nice that you turned the grapes into wine, but then I see you just holding the grapes like being chill about it, and I think it is touching the wall...I don't want to eat any wall grapes. Maybe if you held the grapes in the other hand, it would have been a bit better, which would have fit the pose. I think, with the backdrop it is nice and charming so you shouldn't do a out there pose so what you have is perfectly fine, but the legs could do more. Waist up, nice. Waist down, more action. I think you did a good job of capturing the fruit's personality with the background, but maybe a bit more of you in general. Two positive notes. Glad you didn't wear glasses in this one because I was worried you were going to be using them for every shoot and the lighting is so much better in this image. I love the glow on your face. 🍑Bite Out of Your Fruit🍑: No, cause those grapes touched the wall, but I might have the wine...wait, I'm a white wine girl...so no to that as well. SexyTex (Last Placement: 12th) Fruit: Dragonfruit Transform the Fruit: 🟨 Pose: 🟨 Use of Fruit in the Photo: 🟨 Embody the Fruit's Personality: 🟨 I think this is a perfectly fine photo. It gives me safe though. I am glad I don't see Sabrina's face. The outfit does a good job with transforming the fruit, but I would like to see more than just a corset-style outfit cause that is what I am getting here. You have the corset and the train attachment. Explore more with the outfit horizons. Dragonfruit sounds like a fun fruit to play with, and you could have done more tropical, like swimwear, for this. The pose is fine, but you could have done more with the fruit. I can't tell whether you are about to grab it or petting it. Your face is giving petting vibes like "Good Dragonfruit, whose a good Dragonfruit? You are!" The use of the fruit is fine; I do like the open pieces of fruit on the sides. They kind of look like runway lights (which you could have treated this photo like your own runway), but I think you could have done more. Finally, with the personality of the fruit. I think of fun, refreshing, bright, and I am not getting that, especially with the sunset in the background. This was a challenge that you could have so much creative fun with, and you had some interesting ideas, just wished you pushed them a bit more. 🍑Bite Out of Your Fruit🍑: Sure. Sam (Last Placement: 16th) Fruit: Cactus Transform the Fruit: ✅ Pose: ❓ Use of Fruit in the Photo: ❓ Embody the Fruit's Personality: 🟨 Much better than last round, but still some execution issues on some interesting ideas you had for this photo. First, really appreciate you thinking outside the box on this one. Cactus was not number 1 on my list of fruits so picking something unique like that is good (if fully executed well). I love the outfit. I think it embodies the fruit well. Prickly and a little bit dangerous on the outside, but nice and savory on the inside. I love the detail of the pink prickles on the boots and shoulder things. Wish the belt buckle were a bit bigger and pricklier. The pose, I'm mixed on. It looks like you are maybe doing air guitar or about to throw a spear at something??? I'm a bit confused about it. The leg placement is nice, but the upper part confuses me because I'm not getting a clear context for the story's situation. I feel like the pose might have looked rough on camera. Having the cactus around you was a nice start for using the fruit, but you could have done more, and the lighting is a bit off, where we lose some of it. Finally, I do think you embody the fruit's personality to an extent, but some of the questionable choices did throw me off a bit, but overall, it's much better this time around! 🍑Bite Out of Your Fruit🍑: Sure. I think there is too much red happening here, and it is taking a lot to absorb. It might just be a me thing, but with the darkness of the red and the lighting, I am having a bit of trouble with some stuff, so that could dock you some points. That said, this is a very interesting concept for a cherry, and I can see the vision. Cherry in a diner because ice cream sundaes, cherry coke, cherry chapstick, ya know. Outfit-wise, I like the way you transformed it. Very smooth and scrumptious, with a nice, potentially 70s vibe (I could be wrong on that part, but that is what I am getting). With the image quality, though, we do lose some of the coat's spark, which I think looks great, but it is hard to tell at this point. I really like the pose in the current situation of the image. Nice, cool, seductive. You are eyeing someone, and they are eyeing you, and you are definitely going to share a milkshake soon. My only issue, though, is that I am not a fan of the giant cherry there. Yes, you are trying to incorporate the use of the fruit in the photo, but with the way you have it set up, I think it would have been neat if you had pictures of cherries surrounding a wall, and you did the same pose on the jukebox (that is in the background) instead. Maybe have the jukebox look like a cherry, but it just feels out of place. If this were an episode of Phineas and Ferb, it would be a different story, but this is DNTM. Besides that, good job, just some concept issues and tech things to be aware about for the next round. I think this is a much better improvement than the last round. You did a good job of transforming the fruit. You give the peach a sweet vibe, and honestly, I think this is a good blend of peach and cream. I love the fabric's flow, and your pose is nice. I appreciate that your own peach is out too. Something about your body does stand out weird, though. It feels a bit stretched out, or maybe your head is a bit smaller than your body. It just seems a bit off to me. I still want you to work on your facial features. You can have an amazing pose, but if your face isn't giving much, then it can ruin it. You don't look bored, but you do look like you aren't putting effort into what you are doing. Kind of like you got the pose ready, and you are about to do your face pose, but the photographer took the pic and was like, " Okay, we are done". The fruit could have been used more; it is just like that. Maybe you could have held one of the peaches, squeezed it, and had the juice drip on you? The color is luxurious, as if you took good, tender care of the fruit, and it grew into something magical. The pose shows power, and I love how you hold the lemon and the way your face is. I am kind of glad that the outfit wasn't all fancy pantsy because it is covered by the peach, and I would be very disappointed to see it blocked, but I think the prompt was asking for that...maybe change the fabric for it to something smoother, like velvet or lush, which would be best fitting for peach skin. RobbieRiot Critique: Robbie, this is a very striking photo and you can tell this girl carries herself like a boss bitch. The styling is on point, I love how the dress is made of the spikiness of the Rambutan. It is very clever and if this was project runway, you'd definitely be in the top. Unfortunately, this is Dimitra's next top model and I still do feel that for the second week in a row, you are lacking energy and flavor. I think you're kinda in this reserved shell where you think success comes from being very statuesque and an emotionless goddess, but really your strength comes in the vulnerability of trying to break out of the glamorous box youre in to be more fluid in your expressions. I mean, if you take away the glits and the glamour and the campiness, you'd just be another girl walking a runway. It's still really really strong, just something to think about. 8/10 muribolt Critique: MURIBOLT DOES IT AGAIN. This is fabulous and all my worries last time about relying on hooch are gone. You are able to transform this natural sex appeal into something much more elegant and it's impressive. You obviously know how to make shapes with your body, as this is the second week your posing is off the charts. I also love the interaction with the fruit, you are engaged with the environment and have incorporated the theme really well. You remind me of Kelsey Weier from the Bachelor. This is a work of art. 10/10 goomybear Critique: I really enjoy this photo stylistically and I feel like I get the vision you were going for. He reminds me of an evil prince who lives in this gigantic house and is plotting his next big scheme over a glass of wine. Aesthetically this is certainly above average. When we consider the act of modeling however, I do feel like there's a disconnect. Instead of appearing in charge and diabolical, he kinda comes off awkward and lazy. An interesting observation, you need to learn where to direct your energy in a photoshoot. Last week your shot was really intimate, but you decided to direct your attention to the environment instead of making love to the camera. This week, there's a ton for you to work with and you decided to turn your attention fully to the camera. It should have been about the fruit, and I wish you had been more present. If he was holding the fruit in his right hand that would have been an excellent touch. Also, I wouldn't say he's really immersed in this environment and kinda looks like he should be on a dance floor instead. Regardless, I'm really enjoying this. The pixelated look makes this look like a handmade drawing and it's also very hard on the eyes color-wise. He does look cool though. The pose is my favorite part, I love that he pulled down the glasses and chose to lean against the giant cherry prop. My problem with this is mainly style, it's just an ugly hue and too bright. But I do see a model buried in there somewhere. This is how you sell luxury, she looks like queen of the lemons. The outfit fits her just right, the theme is incorporated wonderfully in the backdrop and in the outfit, and the pose is very powerful. When I said age last time was going to be your downfall, turns out it can be your biggest strength if utilized correctly. You can tell this woman is MATURE, but she still has that youthful, fresh look that would make girls go "woah I wanna look like that." My ONLY ONLY ONLY critique im so sorry....is the eyes got a little lazy there. It kinda looks like she's facing the sun and is having a hard time keeping them open. If the eyes had been more piercing, this would have been top photo of the week. But close enough trust me! 9.7/10 tayvie Critique: Okaaayy....I mean I'm not blown away, but there's certainly something about it that is interesting. He has a very unconventional look to him, but I don't really think the grape coat does him any favors. They look a little too marbly to be green grapes and it's kinda throwing me off. I love the incorporations of vines running down his torso and swinging from a vine as well was a risky move. The pose itself works, I love the hand placement and the movement created with the feet makes this shot very dynamic. There's something missing and I can't exactly tell what it is...TBH I think it's just stylistically questionable. The coat, the makeup, the elf shoes....it's showcasing modelesque qualities, but the vision itself isn't fully realized. 7.4/10 lewis Critique: This is a really fierce shot and everything is just working to bring it together. I love the effect of the cherry splashing as he's soaking in it and making it a seductive experience. Cherries I think are the sexiest fruit by a mile and this is one of those cases where the overly sexualness works in your favor. Especially the closed eyes, that would usually be a big no-no, works because he's just feeling his oats and being smothered in the juices of the cherry. The necklace and the corset and the gloves and the boots....everything just feels so right. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this shot. 10/10 hare Hare: I'm very conflicted here because this is hands down one of the strongest face shots of the bunch. The proportions and the incorporation of the fruit is just completely throwing it off. First off, I don't know where his right leg went. Is it even there or is he living his best Kelly Bruno life? I really enjoy the mixture of femininity and masculinity here, but the bottom half is just getting really fuzzy and I can't make out what's going on. Also, the fruit is blueberries right? Something about the backdrop comes across really temu blueberry props....even the garment kinda looks like it could be shein knock off. I wish there was more interaction with the fruit, I wished the fruit looked more realistic, and I wish the body was as right as the face is. It's not awful, but it could use work. 6.8/10 torimarie Critique: The way you had the chance to do blueberry and chose grapefruit....ok outside the box thinker! Perhaps it would have blended in too well. ALTHOUGH, I'm not mad about what you chose at all.
