I Can't Deal with AI Anymore.

You can tell when something’s been written by AI. The words sound fine, the grammar’s perfect, the flow is okay… but there’s nothing there. No pulse. No weird phrasing that makes you pause, no tangent that accidentally says something real. Just polished emptiness. It’s like we collectively decided that “good enough and fast” is better than “honest and interesting.” Every time I scroll through social media or read an article now, it feels like I’m reading the same voice wearing different clothes. LinkedIn posts written by the same ghost. Reviews that sound like they were written by a polite robot. Even art—music, writing, design—has started to feel strangely sterile, like everything’s been run through a filter called “optimize engagement.” And sure, AI can be useful. It’s great for brainstorming, summarizing, filling in boring bits. But when everything becomes a slightly tweaked remix of what’s already out there, the whole internet starts to feel like a grocery store full of identical brands. What’s missing is the human stuff. The small imperfections. The stray joke that doesn’t land. The weird metaphor that makes no sense until it suddenly does. That’s what makes things feel alive. So yeah, maybe I’m being dramatic, but I miss when you could read something and instantly tell: oh, a real person wrote this.

he writer laments how AI-generated content, while grammatically flawless and efficient, often lacks genuine emotion, individuality, and imperfection. They describe modern online writing and art as homogenized and lifeless—“polished emptiness”—optimized for engagement rather than authenticity. Although they acknowledge AI’s usefulness for routine tasks, they mourn the loss of the distinct human voice: the quirks, risks, and imperfections that make creative work feel alive.
